  1. Don't understand why the door won't open ? if it was already open and your son just closed it, why is it now locked ? Can you not just pull the cable thats normally on the interior handle to open the latch / door ?
  2. Not aware of the emergency mode..............not something I have seen in any literature.
  3. Ebay 332866808161 £55 or best offer for the motor and regulator..............not bad "imo".
  4. £800 ++++ for a cambelt................ do you bend over at the service desk and they insert a long pole as well !!! That is just ridiculous...........
  5. no you don't, the job itself is pretty straight forward, most of the job is gaining access. Details below of the workshop guidance.
  6. Adjust the height, try it in different positions.
  7. All parts came from a Fabia with factory rear windows, just had to wait till one was being broke and was in good condition (door cards), no matching of revision V my front parts. Regarding using Polo parts, VAG has the ability to make cross platform parts look identical, but there is often just a letter different in the part number and in all honesty I cannot say whether or not they would work............I suspect they probably would BUT the pin outs maybe different on the motors so then your messing with the wiring looms to, would need to check that..........but offcourse the plugs could be de then re-pinned to suit, depends on your ability and access to Polo wiring diagrams. If Polo parts are cheaper or easier to source, you "could" get one and try it, then if successful, get another or re-sell if not, I doubt you would lose much money if any.
  8. never in this world of automotive lubricants is any oil fit for life
  9. quite a few wires tbh, have a quick look here............drivers side wiring.
  10. It is possible the control unit is faulty................however, I would also be double checking there is no more broken wires in the door loom as well.
  11. telling us what year, engine and body type your car is would help us to help you......................failing that ring a skoda dealer, ask for parts, give them your reg no and tell them you want part numbers for the headlights............simples.........
  12. Just plug in and see, if there is no light, then there is no fault unless it stores one, but that’s hit and miss. It’s possible the dealer just cleared it and hoped for the best and the same fault (whatever it was) has returned
  13. that’s all part of the NRV and crankcase breather system, unless you can clip it back together then it’s time for a new one I’m afraid. the number is on the top 03C103175k example here, but I would order from any VAG dealer https://srotas24.co.uk/product/s27338280364/
  14. I would like to think if you supplied your reg number the dealer got the correct part, unlikely it isn't. My question was more pointed towards you potentially buying a loom from Ebay or similar assuming it would be the same.
  15. New loom from a dealer ? Is it 100% the correct part no ?
  16. The base of the radio aerial is the amplifier. picture attached for confirmation. Whats the issue your actually having ? Poor reception ? there is also an aerial in the front screen, have you had a new screen recently ?
  17. Have we checked / sprayed the other side to see if the sound is travelling ?
  18. it's not something as silly as the central dash switch (in the console) being stuck as it's near the cup holders and is probably suceptable to spillages ?
  19. So have we replaced the EGT sensor or "atleast" checked the wiring to it / them ?
  20. Supercharger cover is just clipped together, no bolts. Supercharger belt removal attached, you sort of release tension then remove the tensioner itself. V ribbed belt has 2 tensioners, worskhop detail for both attached.
  21. Sounds like the ECU cannot control boost pressure..............I would follow this page to atleast check the boost control valve.... http://wiki.ross-tech.com/wiki/index.php/18693/P2261/008801
  22. The factory bluetooth module "should" be located under the front passenger seat, if your happy with the bluetooth on the RCD whatever it is, then simply unplug the factory one.
