Kangaroo, Start/Stop & Fuel Economy - Am I going mad?
Welcome to the zoo. Our O4 more often jerking on start, 1.5 TSI manual, then it starts smoothly. It is better when AC is off. Looks like they have never resolved auto-stall issue or something else. It also has significant delay on reaction on throttle, and this is since beginning. Other than that, the car is really good, engine strong, but only you need to pass this jerking around 1400rpm during initial acceleration from stand still. What is interesting, people who drive roughly, and clutch above 1500rpm on start, will not notice our little down under friend.

Road Noise
Yes of course, I am from Serbia, all of us had Tigar when it was 15-20% of price of Continental or Michelin in same dimension, but now this is not the case anymore at all.

Road Noise
Riken. Are they made in Serbia? Total crap tire, good only for snow.

Did I Locked My Keys In The Car!?
DHL ? I would have rather wait for a spare key instead of braking something. Have you managed to unlock the car?

Normal startup noise 2016 EA888 2.0 Video included
Mine is also noisy on cold start since day 1 (5km). I can't tell whether this one is louder or not. On working temperature and if you disengage all electric consumers it is very silent. Maybe this should be correct test.

A/C not so cold.

I can do this on mine to compare? In Belgrade is near 40 ever day past 10 days (after we returned from Greece :D).

A/C not so cold.
Didn’t get it from your original explanation. Does it cool down after 5 minutes of working, when driving? I use recirculation immediately, in a minute already is getting bearable in the car and 2 3 minutes later quite fine.

A/C not so cold.
Looks like too much expectations. There are cars with a/c sharp as razor, but not in this price segment. Turn on recirculation when it is 40C outside.

MK3.5vrs to MK4vrs... worth it or not?
Touchscreen is OK now. It is not better then dials and knobs, but it is okay, plus you can talk commands to your Škoda, which also works decent. I do prefer my old RS230 comparing to newer O4 Style, but you are opting for a RS, so... If you old car is tired, why not.

Road Noise
Our O4 controls road noise pretty well, but it depends on the road surface. Before, all our roads were really noisy and you couldn't help it, but nowadays it is much better. It also depends on expectations, but comparing to similar pricing cars, it is quieter. Comparing to BMW 5 it is not. Wind noise is nearly non existing, road noise on our 205/55R17 wheels highly depending on the road surface.

A/C not so cold.
If the readings are correct, it is blowing cool air, but it always depends on the outer air temperature and fan speed as you noticed. It is able to reduce from 40 to 15C, this looks like thing is working great. If fan speed is higher, there is less contact of this particular volume of air you measure and you get blowing out warmer - but in general complete volume of air in cabin will be exchanged faster. What I do when it is very hot outside, in the beginning I switch on air recirculation. Later on I switch it back to full auto. These days heat is extreme in our region, I suppose all A/Cs struggle.

VAQ Diff?
Shouldn't be 245 without VAQ. Don't you have driving modes to choose individual and see there presence of front differential lock?

Anyone upgraded the sound actuator??
Why!? I think it can be set louder via OBD11 or VCDS.

DCC Retrofit, possible?
KW DDC has its own central unit, so should behave more-less same as OEM DCC, probably even better.

Time to retire my MK3 VRS245 - what next?
Do you have Cupra's in UK? Formentor for example? There are 2.0 and 2.5 TSI, 4x4 and fwd. Why not new O4 RS?

Banging at the front when accelerating and hitting a pot hole.
@RoddersUK looks like this system is independent of traction control. It does what is should, takes care to prevent any speed difference between front wheels. There is no scenario when one wheel spinning and other is stopped is useful. With TC off, you get both wheels spinning but only one should not occur ever.
-
'22 RS - is wheel alignment two-wheel or four-wheel?
Toe must be adjustable, at least, on all wheels. The rest, depends. Only racecars have everything adjustable. If you have no issues or haven't hit a pothole, why would you need an adjustment?

vRS model differences in Australia?
245 HP all should have it, 230 not. pre FL 230 HP should have it, but they also feature black exhaust, black rear spoiler, black piano interior and stitched vRS logo behind head on front seats. This car was in its time something special and not that common. They also had only 4 colours.

Can you get Ravenol VSW there?

subframe down - should I regret - need alignment?
Looks like fire shield to me, so its probably outside somewhere, mounted vertically, between the engine and passenger compartment.

subframe down - should I regret - need alignment?
On most of your questions I don't have answer, but I do on bushings rattle, or crack or squeak. In the summer I was able to to silent them almost completely, but on the winter, man... Like a ****ty car, and the first time I have started calling upon warranty it had only 10.000km. The issue are the bigger bushings in the back of the lower (and only) front arm. Finally about 15-20 days ago, and 6 years after first complaint, 110.000km later, we have found that bushings for B8 4motion are good. Yes, needed wheel alignment after the replacement, it made the huge difference. Car was perfectly driveable, but I felt very little something was wrong on higher speeds in my lower back (140+ km/h), like a side wind, where there was no. After the alignment, with new bushings. Man. What a car. How it is again silent, and pointy, and tight and perfect. I was thinking of selling it after 7y. I will not. Good luck in your adventure. Looks like you're onto it well.

Rear hatch lock issue?
I had this issue resolved under warranty. They said button inside is too shallow and after some usage cannot reach full contact. Explanation is that they’ve put some distancer under, as official and final solution. Obviously permanent solution as it works for 5 years, maybe 6.

Heated mirrors?
I would test whether heating works when you switch on the back glass heater. If heating doesn’t exist on the switch.
-
Heated mirrors?
Up left folding mirrors, up right heating mirrors. They are also auto dimming. I suppose non folding mirrors have only bottom part of dialing switch?
