Planning to Tow With a New Car - BEWARE
Why didn't you order the car with a factory fitted towbar? Maybe cost or having to wait for the delivery of a factory order. Skodas with factory fitted towbars are usually fitted with stiffer rear springs, eg. one weight range higher. However, unless the caravan's nose weight is more than about 50kg I wouldn't have thought this was necessary...especially when fitting stiffer rear springs means compromising the ride quality.

Help/advice re changing wheels/alloys on Superb Estate Elegance 2014
The easiest way to find an air leak, is to submerge the tyre/rim in water. Look for an air bubble forming to see where the air leak is. When you have spotted the leak, you can use a yellow crayon to mark the spot. Don't forget to check all the way around, in case there is more than one leak.

15" X 6J - ET45 - Will they fit my Citigo?
14" wheel models use softer front and rear springs than 15"/16" wheel models. The gknautomotive online catalogue shows that both the Skoda Citigo and the VW Up! use softer front and rear springs on the models with 14" wheels. The only exception is with the VW Up! 90HP turbo model, which uses the stiffer front and rear springs from the 15" and 16" wheel models, even when it's fitted with 14" wheels. There's also sports springs. As you can see from the below charts, the softer front and rear springs on the 14" wheel models have a 0.25mm smaller wire diameter, ie. 11mm instead of 11.25mm for the front springs, and 9.25mm instead of 9.5mm for the rear springs. 14" wheel build codes with standard suspension will be L02 and 1JA+0YB. 15" and 16" wheel build codes with standard suspension will be L03 or L04 and 1JA+0YC or 1JA+0YD (1) 1S0411105A coil spring 2 paint marks 1 paint mark white green Model data: PR-L02 Fitting Position Front Axle Wire Diameter 11,00 mm Length 310 mm Outer diameter 135 mm Weight 1,30 kg Suspension for vehicles with standard suspension Rim Size 14 Inch (1) 1S0511115AJ coil spring 1 paint mark 2 paint marks 2 paint marks yellow orange green Model data: PR-1JA+0YB Fitting Position Rear Axle Colour Coding Green (2x), Orange (2x), Yellow Wire Diameter 9,25 mm Length 308 mm Outer diameter 102 mm Weight 0,95 kg Suspension for vehicles with standard suspension Rim Size 14 Inch (1) 6R0411105T coil spring 2 paint marks 2 paint marks green blue Model data: PR-L03 (1) 6R0411105J coil spring 2 paint marks 3 paint marks white blue Model data: PR-L04 Fitting Position Front Axle Wire Diameter 11,25 mm Length 307 mm Outer diameter 139 mm Weight 1,40 kg Suspension for vehicles with standard suspension Rim Size 15 Inch (1) 1S0511115AK coil spring 1 paint mark 2 paint marks 3 paint marks yellow orange green Model data: PR-1JA+0YC (1) 1S0511115AL coil spring 1 paint mark 3 paint marks 1 paint mark yellow orange green Model data: PR-1JA+0YD Fitting Position Rear Axle Colour Coding Green (3x), Orange (2x), Yellow Wire Diameter 9,50 mm Length 308 mm Outer diameter 104 mm Weight 1,00 kg Suspension for vehicles with standard suspension Rim Size 15 Inch https://web.tecalliance.net/gkn/en/parts/cars/assigned?assemblyGroupId=100113&targetId=15995&typeNumber=15995&groups=188&brands=1&page=0#@brc/brands:Car;targetType:cars/assem:SKODA%20CITIGO%20(NF1)%201.0;targetType:cars;targetId:15995;typeNumber:15995/lnkparts:Coil%20Springs;targetType:cars;assemblyGroupId:100113;targetId:15995;typeNumber:15995;groups:188;brands:1;page:0

Help/advice re changing wheels/alloys on Superb Estate Elegance 2014
Your rims could be corroded around the rim where the tyre bead sits, or the rims could have been damaged by a tyre fitter. If the rims have been damaged by a tyre fitter, they might be beyond economical repair. These ones from the Octavia MK2 are available for about £92.85 each. There are two versions, chrome metallic and silver. The chrome metallic version is being listed at a much lower price on "eshop skoda cz" than the silver version. You can also get a matching 6.5Jx16 ET50 steel rim for a spare. I haven't listed any 7Jx16 rims because 7J is relatively wide for a 205/55R16 tyre, which results in a harder and less comfortable rim. 205/55R16 is an inexpensive tyre size, with many top brands available for about £50 each. Help/advice re changing wheels/alloys on Superb Estate Elegance 2014
You would notice a massive difference in comfort going from 225/40R18 to 205/55R16. 225/45R17 is somewhere in the middle, but closer to the harshness of the 225/40R18. As you can see in the chart below, both 205/55R16 and 225/45R17 are standard tyre options on the Superb MK2 1.8TSI Skoda Superb 2014 1.8TSi – Generation: 3T [2008 .. 2014] [EUDM] – Power: 158 hp | 118 kW | 160 PS – Engine: I4, Petrol – Center Bore: 57.1 mm – PCD: 5x112 – Wheel Fasteners: Lug bolts – Thread Size: M14 x 1.5 – Trim Production: [2008 .. 2014] Tire Rim 205/55R16 94V 7Jx16 ET45 2.3 / 2.1 225/45ZR17 94W 7.5Jx17 ET49 2.4 / 2.2 https://www.wheel-size.com/size/skoda/superb/2014/#trim-18tsi-eudm-158 Light alloy wheel ILIAS 16" Rim size: 6.5J x 16 “ET 46 3 850,99 CZK (about £129.12) https://eshop.skoda-auto.cz/cs_CZ/kolo-z-lehke-slitiny-ilias-16-pro-octavia-iii/p/5E0071496D+8Z8 Secondhand alloys often have corrosion where the tyre bead sits, which means they will leak air and you have to pump up the tyres every week. 15" X 6J - ET45 - Will they fit my Citigo?
On the Citigo, 5Jx14 ET35 is better than 5.5Jx15 ET41. However, the links that I provided will take the OP to options for 15" alloy rims such as these... Bear in mind, that the OP has a Citigo that left the factory with 14" wheels. These cars left the factory with softer springs than cars that left the factory with either 15" or 16" wheels. If the OP fits 15" or 16" wheels, the extra lateral grip could cause problems with the car's soft suspension...resulting in additional expense to correct.

Can you identify this Fabia alloy and part number
5J0601025AA is the same as 5J0601025AA 8Z8, so there really are only 3 parts listed. Ordering 5J0601025AA will give you 5J0601025AA 8Z8 8Z8 is just the colour code. Some sellers list this part as: 5J0601025AA 5J0601025AA 8Z8 5J0601025AA8Z8 It's useful to know this if you are searching for a part online, such as ebay. Most sellers will use the short format in their listings, ie. 5J0601025AA 5J0601025AA will always have the colour code 8Z8. There are no other colour codes for 5J0601025AA

If you've got 7.5Jx17 ET49 rims, then 7Jx17 ET45 might stop the rubbing. This has a 0.5" narrower rim which squeezes the sidewalls a little closer together, and the offset is 4mm less which would push the wheel out towards the edge of the wheelarch by 4mm. 7Jx17 ET45 is a common size on the Yeti https://eshop.skoda-auto.cz/cs_CZ/hlinikove-disky/c/alloyWheels?q=%3AscoreDesc%3AcarType%3AYeti%2B%282013-2018%29%3AcarType%3AYeti%2B%282009-2014%29&text=# Skoda Yeti 2014 2.0TDi – Generation: 5L [2009 .. 2014] [EUDM] – Market: EUDM – Power: 168 hp | 125 kW | 170 PS – Engine: CEGA, I4, Diesel – Options: Ambition, Experience, Elegance, L&K – Center Bore: 57.1 mm – PCD: 5x112 – Wheel Fasteners: Lug bolts – Torque: 120 Nm – Thread Size: M14 x 1.5 – Trim Production: [2009 .. 2014] Tire Rim 215/60R16 95H 7Jx16 ET45 2.2 225/50ZR17 94W 7Jx17 ET45 2.2 https://www.wheel-size.com/size/skoda/yeti/2014/

2.0 TDi Ride Quality
The Superb MK2 is known for having soft rear springs, so if the car feels stiff then maybe someone has fitted non-standard springs and/or non-standard shock absorbers...although the 18" wheels won't help. There's a lot of cheap aftermarket shock absorbers on the market, so if they don't work as well as quality shock absorbers then that would also make the ride harder. The first thing to do is determine what springs and shock absorbers are fitted. Do the rims have the standard 7.5Jx18 specification? Some owners fit wider aftermarket rims. Non-standard 8J or wider rims would contribute to a harder ride. Skoda Superb 2014 2.0TDi – Generation: 3T [2008 .. 2014] [EUDM] – Power: 168 hp | 125 kW | 170 PS – Engine: I4, Diesel – Center Bore: 57.1 mm – PCD: 5x112 – Wheel Fasteners: Lug bolts – Thread Size: M14 x 1.5 – Trim Production: [2008 .. 2014] Tire Rim 225/45ZR17 94W 7.5Jx17 ET49 2.4 / 2.2 225/40ZR18 92Y 7.5Jx18 ET46 2.4 / 2.2 A big improvement in ride comfort could be made by fitting oversize 225/45R18 on 7Jx18 ET45 rims from the Karoq. The narrower 7J rims will help the sidewalls flex more easily. https://eshop.skoda-auto.cz/cs_CZ/kolo-z-lehke-slitiny-trinity-18-pro-karoq/p/57A071498++8Z8

Lesjofors 4295088 is identical to Kilen 65075 (made in the same factory in Sweden) is sold to replace the following OEM part numbers 1K0511115CR 1K0511115DJ 1K0511115DK These springs are longer and heavier duty than +15mm springs, and hence are only normally fitted to Scout models. You can tell immediately by looking at the weight (2.4kg to 2.8kg) that these are far heavier than even +15mm springs. Notice below, that these three OEM part numbers cover 3 weight ranges, ie. 0YG, 0YH, and 0YJ. Sagging rear suspension
The 1K0511115BD, 1K0511115BE, 1K0511115BF, 1K0511115BG springs that I mentioned above are standard ride height springs, not +15mm increased ride height (or off-road package), so wouldn't raise the towball above regulation height. The 1JA build code shown against the OEM part number indicates that it's a standard ride height spring. VW Codes Decoder http://igorweb.org/equidec.aspx 1JA = Rear shock absorption, basic design 1 1JB = Rear shock absorption for rough-road design 1JC = Rear shock absorption for sports design Notice that each of these four OEM part numbers are matched against two different build codes, depending on when the car was built. This shows that Skoda started fitting rear springs two weight ranges lower from 06.03.2006, and is probably the reason so many have since complained about sagging rear ends. For example, if your Octavia MK2 had build codes 1JA+0YD and was built before 06.03.2006 it would have 1K0511115BF rear springs, but if it was built after it would have 1K0511115BD rear springs. I suspect BlueTigger's car was built after 06.03.2006 and so came out of the factory with the softer rear springs...hence the sagging rear end. Sagging rear suspension
KYB list these KYB RH6788 standard ride height rear springs for the Octavia MK2 Estate. They are available on ebay for £33.22 for two, ie. £16.61 each. Looking at one of the photos, it shows they have 8 coil turns so should give the same ride comfort as the 1K0511115BF springs. However, at 361mm length they are about 7mm longer than the 1K0511115BF springs, so you shouldn't have any problems with sagging. You can also see the specification on the KYB online catalogue, which I've linked to below. KYB RH6788 1K0511115BG Weight 1,98 kg Thickness 1 11,8 mm Outer diameter 113 mm Length 361 mm https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/2x-Coil-Springs-Pair-Set-fits-SKODA-OCTAVIA-1Z-Rear-1-6-1-6D-04-to-13-KYB-New/333856171221?hash=item4dbb60e4d5%3Ag%3ApSUAAOSwKPNf~tgu&LH_ItemCondition=1000 https://kyb-europe.com/catalogue/ Some of the OEM part numbers that you mentioned in your first post, such as 1K0511115BM or ending BS DF EB are from cars such as VW Touran 7-seater, Skoda Superb MK2 4x4, VW Golf GTI with sports suspension, Skoda Octavia MK2 VRS with sports suspension...so they are either too stiff, too long, or too short for the Octavia MK2 with standard suspension. You can use the online catalogue on gknautomotive.com to confirm this. Just type in the OEM part number of the spring, and it will show you the specification of the spring and what cars it fits, if gknautomotive.com makes that spring. You can also use autodoc to get similar information on springs.

For maximum comfort, avoid UHP summer tyres. These tend to have stiff sidewalls for maximum cornering performance at the expensive of ride comfort. 215/60R16 is a really good size for comfort and economy on the Karoq. Notice in the chart above that it says 2.2 Bar (32psi) tyre pressure with this size. If you use 225/60R16 you would need to reduce the tyre pressure by 0.2 Bar (3psi) to get improved ride comfort. However, running lower tyre pressure, ie. 29psi (2 Bar) will make the handling worse. If you're willing to accept a harder and more uncomfortable ride but with the benefit of sharper steering/handling, then I would suggest 225/60R16 tyres on wider 7Jx16 ET45 rims. Octavia Scout Mk3 Rear Suspension
You might have the following standard ride height rear springs: 5Q0511121AF (Standard Ride Height Octavia MK3 Estate Rear Springs Wire Diameter: 11.25mm Length: 341mm Outer Diameter: 109mm Weight: 1.75kg Number of Coil Turns: 7.75 https://web.tecalliance.net/gkn/en/parts/1/87783/detail?query=5Q0511121AF&numberType=1&oe=5Q0511121AF&groups=188#@brc/search:Search%20by%20any%20number%205Q0511121AF;query:5Q0511121AF;groups:188;brands:1;page:0/detail:87783;brandId:1;articleNo:87783;query:5Q0511121AF;numberType:1;oe:5Q0511121AF;groups:188 To increase the rear ride height by 15mm change to the following 15mm increased ride height rear springs: 5Q0511121BE (15mm Increased Ride Height Octavia MK3 Estate Rear Springs) Wire Diameter: 11.25mm Length: 356mm Outer Diameter: 107mm Weight: 1.75kg Number of Coil Turns: 7.75 https://web.tecalliance.net/gkn/en/parts/1/88024/detail?query=5Q0511121BE&numberType=1&oe=5Q0511121BE&groups=188#@brc/search:Search%20by%20any%20number%205Q0511121BE;query:5Q0511121BE;groups:188;brands:1;page:0/detail:88024;brandId:1;articleNo:88024;query:5Q0511121BE;numberType:1;oe:5Q0511121BE;groups:188 5Q0511121BE Suplex 30026 https://www.autodoc.co.uk/suplex/15518365 This is a very neat solution, as the specifications of the springs are identical, except for the 15mm increased uncompressed spring length of the increased ride height rear springs. The ride comfort will be exactly the same. You will now have 15mm more suspension travel. This could be useful if the standard suspension sometimes bottoms out, for example going over speed hump. Increased ride height isn't for everyone, because it raises the car's centre of gravity. However, SUVs are very popular and they also have a higher centre of gravity than standard road cars. There's not much choice for 5Q0511121BE rear springs, although autodoc list Suplex 30026 that matches this OEM part number. Other brands are sometimes sold to replace more than one OEM number, so might not be a close match. Those one size fits all approach springs are best avoided if there's another alternative. Some brands hide the fact that they are using a one size fits all approach by listing just one OEM part number against each model number...but what they are doing is labelling the same spring using different model numbers....Caveat Emptor...as they say in Latin. These one size fits all brands, tend not to list the specification of each spring, such as wire thickness, length, outside diameter, etc. There are 9 standard ride height Octavia MK3 rear springs listed on the Skoda online parts catalogue 1 5Q0511121AA coil spring Model data: PR-1JA+0YA (1) 5Q0511121AB coil spring Model data: PR-1JA+0YB (1) 5Q0511121AC coil spring Model data: PR-1JA+0YC (1) 5Q0511121AD coil spring Model data: PR-1JA+0YD (1) 5Q0511121AE coil spring Model data: PR-1JA+0YE (1) 5Q0511121AF coil spring Model data: PR-1JA+0YF (1) 5Q0511121AG coil spring Model data: PR-1JA+0YG (1) 5Q0511121AH coil spring Model data: PR-1JA+0YH (1) 5Q0511121AJ coil spring Model data: PR-1JA+0YJ http://www.oemepc.com/skoda/part_single/catalog/sk/markt/CZ/modell/OCT/year/2016/drive_standart/753/hg_ug/511/subcategory/511000/part_id/0/lang/e In some countries, new car buyers have a 15mm increased ride height option. In other countries (particularly those countries with poor roads and lots of potholes), the 15mm increased ride height will come as standard. So +15mm ride height, standard ride height, and -15mm (lowered suspension) options are all perfectly normal on VW group cars. It's easier to change rear springs than front springs, so do them first. If all goes well, repeat the process on the front...again using suitable springs. The Scout springs appear to heavier duty and much longer than the +15mm increased ride height springs. So it might not be a good idea to use Scout springs on the standard car. Besides, +15mm should be enough for most owners who want a small increase in ride height. In the UK, there is a lot less choice (and sometimes higher prices) for increased ride height springs compared to standard ride height springs, so do check availability first before making a decision to go for increased ride height springs.

Steel wheels centre caps size?
The Golf MK2 GTI sometimes used stylised steel rims with centre caps, as shown in the first photo below. The lack of aesthetic steel rims with centre caps may be because alloy rims are such a money maker for the motor companies. Most alloy rims are made of cheap, heavy sand cast aluminium. The motor manufacturers have sometimes made high quality, lightweight forged alloy rims but usually it's cheap and heavy sand cast alloy rims. All that glitters is not gold, etc. The ones shown in the second photo are made in Germany and were originally fitted to the Audi A3 MK1, which like the Octavia MK1 used 5/100 instead of the later 5/112 for the bolt holes. The full specification of these rims is 6Jx15 ET38 5/100 57.1 so would be ideal for the Fabia MK3 which also uses this specification of rim fitted with standard 185/60R15 tyres. The weight of these forged alloy German made rims is amazingly light at about 5.5kg each. This compares to at least 7.5kg but usually a lot more, for steel and sand cast alloy rims of the same specification. Multiple that by 5 (including the spare) and the difference in weight is considerable. The stylised 6Jx15 ET35 5/100 57.1 steel rims are still available, sold as Alcar 8945. These were from the Golf MK3 VR6 and Passat B4. Most Golf MK3s used 4/100 rims, but the VR6 model used 5/100. The problem is, VW no longer sell new centre caps from the Golf MK3 VR6 steel rims, although they do sometimes come up on ebay secondhand. https://www.oponeo.pl/felga-stalowa/alcar-kfz-8945#19155642 (2) 3A0601027 Cancelled since 31.07.1996 steel rim chrome colored for winter tires 6 JX15H2 ET35 5/100 Model data: VR6, 20 JAHRE GTI

Steel wheels centre caps size?
Fabia has 5/100 rims. Caddy covers are either 4/100 or 5/112, so you can't get any Caddy black plastic centre caps to fit.

Help with handling??
Ordering two rear springs from the Octavia MK4 Estate with factory fitted towbar should help. You would need to check that they are stiffer than your current rear springs. If the wire diameter of the new rear springs is 0.25mm or 0.5mm thicker, then they will be stiffer. If you're experienced using axle stands and working under the car, it shouldn't be too difficult to change the rear springs yourself. There's videos on youtube showing the typical procedure. One problem, is the Octavia MK4 is a new model so aftermarket springs might not be available yet. However, you might be able to get new OEM springs from Skoda for about £60 each...but that is just a guess.

Fabia mk2 greenline rear coil spring
I would put a small piece of masking tape where the chip is. Then when the springs are fitted, coat the chip with a tiny squirt of motorcycle chain lube or grease to stop it rusting. Most people have a garage to change springs, and I doubt they would worry about chipped coatings. The garage might roughly handling the springs on concrete and add an extra chip. Anyhow, springs usually break at the ends...usually the last half turn or so...as this is where the stress point is. Many people will chip front springs using coil spring compressors. Were the boxes unsealed? or could the chip have been done in the factory before boxing?
