  1. I can’t answer your question, but I have a question for you How did you adjust the headlights and how many turns? I don’t mean the screw, more like did you park in front of something then adjust, how did you know it’s adjusted enough and not blinding people? Sorry for all the questions but I’m convinced my headlights are too low, I even got Skoda to look at them and they said “it’s within range” but I think it needs to go higher
  2. Question, if I took my car to Skoda dealer, do they just change water pump and belt? Or is the tensioner + anything else (idlers?) changed at the same time for the same fixed price? I’ve never bothered to get belts changed in the past on previous vehicles but I do need to get mine done at some point
  3. Someone will probably know more things to ask you to check such as getting it scanned but if that was my car I’d probably replace the battery as it’s around the age it can go funky (if you’ve not replaced already)
  4. Sounds like auto hold was disabled
  5. Is that the spray or paste version, I’m interested
  6. It doesn’t mention it in the how-to link provided, as that person could remove the bulbs without taking the arches out, but I guess he has skinny hands, which I don’t 😞
  7. How many screws 😂 Makes me wish Skoda could have stolen the wheel arch from an A6, which has a removable panel to get to the bulbs
  8. That’s a shame, also I don’t see the how to guide, just blank
  9. I did hear drivers side there’s more room, but not sure if I’m imagining it
  10. I’ve almost made my mind up on which new bulbs to go for, almost… Do both wheel arch liners need to be removed to get access to the bulb, or is it just the passengers? Thanks
  11. If you were to put that in the arches make sure it’s 100% waterproof. Passats use to have foam inside probably to lesson sound, but it was made of foam and when it got wet it had no where to go other than out, which caused rusty wheel arches
  12. Watch this I’ve personally used the ac bomb, but next time I’ll follow this video Also get a new pollen filter, the Mann one which has the charcoal etc What he does is done on an octavia but I’m sure that pipe is present on the superb too
  13. Ah I see, I don’t have the issue but sounds like I probably will at some point so good to know
  14. How are people greasing them if you can’t get to them? Any pictures would be handy
  15. I almost said to my neighbour “I’ll do your car next” after I watched her cleaning her car with Cif noooo
  16. It should be 3v9 861 411 F @ £337.64 today No guarantees this is the correct p/n for your vehicle
  17. Pop in and ask the shop if they picked it up
  18. Which year? Estate or saloon? (Not sure if it’s only available on estate) I’ll have a look later when you tell me but don’t take it as 100% accurate but I’ll try my best
  19. Get some pictures on here, I’d imagine at such low miles you just need to turn eco mode on to brings the tears back to life and some heavy (when safe to do so) some 70ish mph to 0 stops to bring the fronts back to life
  20. https://www.tayna.co.uk/car-batteries/?gclid=EAIaIQobChMIjt2Cw_H4-gIVh7btCh1ang2SEAAYASAAEgKtZPD_BwE I believe that’s where I bought a battery for my old Passat from, or it was battery mega store. Tanya whack in your reg and it should already know if your battery is EFB if not make sure you click the EFB tab Once you got the model number you can do more searching if anyone has it cheaper. I’ll be honest I’m not sure if it’s only stop start that needs coding, hopefully someone else can clarify
  21. Very likely to be your battery, it’s around the right time for batteries to start dying with colder evenings. Have a look at your battery and see if it’s still the OE one as that could be the same battery it’s had all its life. What year is your car? If it is the original make a note of what battery you have, they’ll be a sticker saying AGM or something else B?? Then buy a direct Varta replacement. If it’s not obvious to you post a picture on here You’ll need it coded to your car
  22. I believe I read it on here that when you change the battery you need to start the car and do full steering lock left and right a few times, and yes get it coded in, as long as the battery size is the same you’re good the other code can literally be any value, just something different to the previous value as I believe not all batteries have the correct stickers https://youtu.be/IJAScg6JrYI
  23. If you know German give this guys channel a watch, some of its English aswell I’ve linked the very bulbs I’m decided whether to get but watch his others as he does light output and on a Skoda albeit a octavia https://youtu.be/EKVgD2TYMUI
  24. I played hardish to catch when I bought my car from a main dealer. In the end I got £2k off, four free services and free MOT for life, which is what I asked for straight away I went in saying I don’t want to play the fake ping pong of salesmen going to the manager then back and forth, I said I want to deal with the manager only, they accepted my request straight away so they probably still made plenty off me, but I did PCP so probably thought I’d get a new car when my deal ends but I paid the balloon payment
