How are people greasing them if you can’t get to them? Any pictures would be handy

What have you done to your Superb III today?
I almost said to my neighbour “I’ll do your car next” after I watched her cleaning her car with Cif noooo

Variable boot floor part no ?
Which year? Estate or saloon? (Not sure if it’s only available on estate) I’ll have a look later when you tell me but don’t take it as 100% accurate but I’ll try my best

Superb break discs
Get some pictures on here, I’d imagine at such low miles you just need to turn eco mode on to brings the tears back to life and some heavy (when safe to do so) some 70ish mph to 0 stops to bring the fronts back to life

Car won't start, lots of error messages
https://www.tayna.co.uk/car-batteries/?gclid=EAIaIQobChMIjt2Cw_H4-gIVh7btCh1ang2SEAAYASAAEgKtZPD_BwE I believe that’s where I bought a battery for my old Passat from, or it was battery mega store. Tanya whack in your reg and it should already know if your battery is EFB if not make sure you click the EFB tab Once you got the model number you can do more searching if anyone has it cheaper. I’ll be honest I’m not sure if it’s only stop start that needs coding, hopefully someone else can clarify

Very likely to be your battery, it’s around the right time for batteries to start dying with colder evenings. Have a look at your battery and see if it’s still the OE one as that could be the same battery it’s had all its life. What year is your car? If it is the original make a note of what battery you have, they’ll be a sticker saying AGM or something else B?? Then buy a direct Varta replacement. If it’s not obvious to you post a picture on here You’ll need it coded to your car
-
Will my car die if I replace the battery??
I believe I read it on here that when you change the battery you need to start the car and do full steering lock left and right a few times, and yes get it coded in, as long as the battery size is the same you’re good the other code can literally be any value, just something different to the previous value as I believe not all batteries have the correct stickers https://youtu.be/IJAScg6JrYI

Looking to buy a 2020 Superb SE L
I played hardish to catch when I bought my car from a main dealer. In the end I got £2k off, four free services and free MOT for life, which is what I asked for straight away I went in saying I don’t want to play the fake ping pong of salesmen going to the manager then back and forth, I said I want to deal with the manager only, they accepted my request straight away so they probably still made plenty off me, but I did PCP so probably thought I’d get a new car when my deal ends but I paid the balloon payment

Comfort control module
Nightmare, mine was like a pond too but only issue I ever had was the alarm going off on all hours which turned out to be corroded grey connector in the passenger kick panel. Why VW decided to use a foam gasket by the pollen filter I’ll never know Glad to know the same issue isn’t present in the Superb 👍
-
Comfort control module
I was once a Passat b5.5 man, the ccm placement still gives me nightmares. If you are asking because of anxiety, the scuttle area should still be cleaned on the Superb apprantly, but it’s even harder to get to because you need to remove the wipers 😬

Auto start / stop inversion!
My habit is starting the car and literally saying “turn that @“£&@“ off” So OP if you can get into a habit of turning it off it’s much cheaper and easier

Low speed manoeuvering
What do your rear discs look like? Upload a picture if you can as it’s always a laugh This was mine before I replaced, ignore the red line. This was at around 37k miles the outer section was never used 😂
-
Low speed manoeuvering
Haha I had exactly the same with stalling, I was like how on earth can I stall an automatic. I went with Brembo coated discs as I got annoyed with the rusting, and skoda OE pads fitted by my local Skoda dealer, stops, it was still like £180 but the time I’d bought a battery maintainer and VCDS it just worked out cheaper to let them do it
-
Low speed manoeuvering
The DSG gearbox can be a little jerky and it’ll be something you get use to. Its worth mentioning the gearbox oil and filter should be changed every 40k miles, but check if it’s ever been serviced as dealers don’t seem to mention it, at least not mine and some others on here 😞 Also check the condition of your rear discs and pads, OEM is a bit of an Achilles heal. My car is smoother and quicker at releasing the handbrake since changing them
-
Tyres annoyance....
They do indeed, I just like the peace of mind knowing mine still over reads by design incase there’s a speed camera van fishing, as the more the tyre wears with 245’s your going even more faster. That shouldn’t matter much unless you live on the 10%+2mph edge all the time
-
Tyres annoyance....
I only do about 3k a year so don’t listen to me for a long term review 😬 My friends probably covered about 5k since May and recently went to Wales on what he called rough roads, when he got back is when he said how much of a difference the 5 and 6 is
-
Tyres annoyance....
That’s possible, I doubt I’ve put more than 1k on them since sometime in May so time will tell but so far so good These are EV rated so I’d like to think they’ll stay quiet
-
Tyres annoyance....
Get the Asymmetric 6, much quieter than the 5. Although I’ve never used the 5’s my father in law has them on his A4 and quiet loud. One of my friends recently needed 4 tyres on his beemer and got 5’s on the front and 6’s on the rear due to needing them urgently but 6 wasn’t available in his size for the fronts (staggered sizes) as it’s a new tyres, he said the difference in sound is massive and much more quieter on the 6’s
-
Tyres annoyance....
Just get the eagle F1 asymmetric 6’s in default size, so much quieter than the P7’s, don’t need to tell insurance nor worry about it over-over reading, win win

What have you done to your Superb III today?
Like I said earlier never had a chip before, today at 1540 I thought I’d go online to get the chip fixed, 1640 auto glass turned up, very impressed. Its still somewhat visible but have to really really look
