Enough is enough...2.5 years and still faults
Personally when you pick it up ask one of the mechanics to come with you and go for a drive, if it plays up (test everything multiple times) leave it back with them. It’ll be better to do that then take it home thinking it’s all good

Coolant temp spike after waterpump replacement
I assume these still have coolant temperature sensors, worth a shot changing that as it’s not normally that expensive, could be throwing a false positive No idea where it’s located though
-
" had my timing belt with water pump replaced. Then check coolant level - empty" filled up with roughly 2L of coolant.
I wouldn’t be concerned at slight drop in mpg, it’s getting colder. No idea how you’re getting that high mpg though, I only get about average 43mpg on a long run according to the computer

Is there another dealership other than who you use? Might be worth taking it to them and say “I’m hoping you’ll be better at trying to fix it” might be something they’ll try harder at to keep you a customer going forward. As far as I’m aware if it’s in warranty still you can take it where you like (any Skoda franchise I mean) Have you contacted Skoda directly? If not be worth a shot

What have you done to your Superb III today?
The time they said it should be changed is correct if you’re anywhere but UK, but we clearly have different parts fitted to the ROW (yeah right…)

Was it second hand when you got it? If you do sell it, post the reg on here so people don’t buy a lemon

New battery time, recommendations?
Are you American? If so no need for the disclaimer, we won’t sue you

Regen Cycle on Tdi engine
Interestingly enough when my car does a regen and I notice I’ll head for the nearest motorway and it stays in 5th on my DSG, when it goes into 6th I know it’s finished

Rear clock
I went to mine as I was convinced I had it, opened the door and nothing, I then doubted myself but you need to have ignition on and it comes to life

Rear clock
I thought the clock was standard, also displays outside temp I believe

How can i adjust full beam height on bi xenons with adaptive headlights ?
How do you know if you’ve adjusted too much or too little? For example if I park 7meters away, do I mark the top of the light beam, then adjust the lights so it’s higher but by how much, 5cm 10cm? That’s the bit I’m confused at 😞

TDI 2.0 SCR 190 - smell of exhaust fumes ?
No smells at all from mine, unless I get back from a drive and a regen is just finishing, but that’s like a hot metal smell If your gut is questioning it, it might be wise to walk away. You could always do another test drive and see if it’s noticeable again but stop somewhere completely different half way on your test drive as it could have been as simple as parking over a diesel leak Put your finger in the exhaust and smear your finger around, as it has a DPF your finger should be nearly spotless, if it’s really black then your gut should be listened to. Bit strange but I never clean my exhaust and can show you a picture of what my finger looks like after compare if you like (like I said a bit strange haha)

How can i adjust full beam height on bi xenons with adaptive headlights ?
I can’t answer your question, but I have a question for you How did you adjust the headlights and how many turns? I don’t mean the screw, more like did you park in front of something then adjust, how did you know it’s adjusted enough and not blinding people? Sorry for all the questions but I’m convinced my headlights are too low, I even got Skoda to look at them and they said “it’s within range” but I think it needs to go higher

Garage costs
Question, if I took my car to Skoda dealer, do they just change water pump and belt? Or is the tensioner + anything else (idlers?) changed at the same time for the same fixed price? I’ve never bothered to get belts changed in the past on previous vehicles but I do need to get mine done at some point

Car cuts out after journey and won't restart immediately
Someone will probably know more things to ask you to check such as getting it scanned but if that was my car I’d probably replace the battery as it’s around the age it can go funky (if you’ve not replaced already)

Just had test drive DSG questions in traffic
Sounds like auto hold was disabled

Xenon bulb change
It doesn’t mention it in the how-to link provided, as that person could remove the bulbs without taking the arches out, but I guess he has skinny hands, which I don’t 😞
-
Xenon bulb change
How many screws 😂 Makes me wish Skoda could have stolen the wheel arch from an A6, which has a removable panel to get to the bulbs
-
Xenon bulb change
That’s a shame, also I don’t see the how to guide, just blank
-
Xenon bulb change
I did hear drivers side there’s more room, but not sure if I’m imagining it
-
Xenon bulb change
I’ve almost made my mind up on which new bulbs to go for, almost… Do both wheel arch liners need to be removed to get access to the bulb, or is it just the passengers? Thanks

Do noise dampning wheel arches help with road/tire noise?
If you were to put that in the arches make sure it’s 100% waterproof. Passats use to have foam inside probably to lesson sound, but it was made of foam and when it got wet it had no where to go other than out, which caused rusty wheel arches
