DAB Dashcam Interference
I can’t remember what they’re called but it sounds like you need to fit a magnet sleeve over your dashcam cable. If you can find the name of it do a search here and should find answers

What have you done to your Superb III today?
Fantastic guide but I’ll be more happy parting with my money than time on this occasion 😂
-
What Specs?
There is, it’s called ErWin. Not used it myself but there’s a section where you can see the service history, build information and whilst you’re there download all the workshop manuals. It’s not free though but when you pick the car up you’ll easily be able to tell if it’s Columbus or not

What have you done to your Superb III today?
Booked in for a DSG oil change, was meant to do it before 40k but closer to 41k now. What’s odd is the Skoda website is like £284 and says DSG Gearbox Oil + Filter. My local dealership is £215 but just says DSG Gearbox Oil, but I rang them to confirm it does come with Filter aswell, which is does. Still crazy expensive but then I cba to do it myself

Rear caliper torque settings
When you say everything, do you have your battery maintainer too?

12v socket in boot
That’s a great idea but I don’t have a crate, had a few nightmares about them 😞
-
12v socket in boot
I’ll probably end up unplugging it, just if it’s quiet I’m bound to forget 😞 I did find a fab yesterday with an on/off switch but I’ll still be in the same dilemma of forgetting, but no other way really. I wish car designers had dogs and would put in rear air vents, be so much better there are cars with ac vents but all 7 seaters and no need for that

12v socket in boot
Thanks Was hoping it wasn’t but I’ll keep looking for what I need, which is a fan in the boot for doggo but I was hoping I could plug it in and leave it, or I need to find a fan with an on/off switch.

12v socket in boot
Doubt it makes much difference but is the 12v socket in an estate always live? So ignition off, does it still provide power to whatever is connected? I don’t have anything 12v to test at the moment but I’m hoping when ignition off and car locked there’s no power to it

Columbus Map Update 2022-2023 (MIB1/2 HIGH)
It probably recognises it’s a 64gb card and defaults to NTFS only, should be fine based on last years update though

Columbus Map Update 2022-2023 (MIB1/2 HIGH)
I went to the portal today and couldn’t see it, not sure why? Downloaded from the link you provided and have it on an SD card waiting for tomorrow. I used the same card as I used previously and noticed it’s in NTFS format, fat32 not on windows 11 anymore (can’t remember if it was in w10), hopefully it’ll work again

Constantly drifting to the right
Swap the front left wheel with the front right, does it make a difference? It sounds like your car could be crabbing, are you the first owner from new? I know you said you’ve tried other cars and they don’t do it as much, but I’m assuming they are different sizes in every way including tyre size to the superb? Only other thing I recommend doing is going back to your dealership, explain the issue again and ask for a test drive on a new superb they have, then go on the same roads. You’ll then be able to mentally compare your car and the new test drive car, if it does the same then it has to be the road, if it doesn’t then you know something is amiss with your car.

Air filter gubbins
I removed it and partially broke one of the vanes but it won’t break off quite a lot of crap in there to be honest and filter not looking too bad if it’s never be changed after doing 40k miles
-
Air filter gubbins
Yes! That’s it, does it just unclip do you know? Edit: just seen on that link there’s another link how to remove it. Just need to take it off and clean underneath then I’ll put it back just in case

Air filter gubbins
Aren’t you thinking of the pollen filter? I knew about the cardboard trick for changing my pollen filter yesterday though
-
Air filter gubbins
I removed my air filter to check it today and underneath the filter is loads of plastic Louvre looking vents. It had some leaves stuck inside so thought I’d remove them but they’ve dropped down. Is there a way to remove that plastic for cleaning purposes? I didn’t want to break anything

What have you done to your Superb III today?
When you say doesn’t get dark, is it that as dark as it gets?

What have you done to your Superb III today?
Just went on a slightly longer drive to a ECP (open on Sunday ) to pick up a normfest AC “cleaner” as I’ve got that tropical zoo smell when I first start the car Ordered a Mann Fprecious Plus pollen filter as I don’t think it’s been changing in a while and should stop more of the smell and help with allergies (allegedly) Put in £110 worth of normal diesel 💔 Not sure if anyone’s seen my other thread but recently put on Goodyear Eagle F1 Asymmetric 6, so much quieter than the P7’s even doing 80mph (I’m told)
-
New 19” tyres required, which ones
It is done at long last Asymmetric 6 providing a little more rim protection than the P7’s which I thought was very good anyway, handy when visiting the in laws as it’s street parking only and horrible old broken kerbs. I’d say quieter than the P7’s by quite a bit as well which is good I got them from Camskill in the end at £155 per tyre then £60 fitted with usual balancing, disposal etc Due to go on a longish drive soon which will bed them in nicely. Just need to get some Bilt Hamber auto wheels

New centre caps
Does anyone know if the newer centre caps still go horrible in a short period of time? I see the part number has changed and wondering if they’re better now? If not I may as well buy rip offs

DIY oil change advice
If the oil filter is low down and have to remove the plastics, then you might as well just undo the sump plug and buy a new one to be honest

Positive effects of DSG Service
Quite possibly, but jury’s still out as it doesn’t hold the gear as long. Mines a 2016 6speed DSG if that has any bearing
-
Positive effects of DSG Service
I done mine with the accelerator pedal down for 20 seconds and ignition only on. I was thinking what’s the worst that can happen and not bad happened and I’m sure it doesn’t hold the gears for as long. probably all in my mind though
