  1. There is no coating on the OE ones and will look worse soon enough. As your car is new I’d paint them. When my rears got replaced I went for Brembo disks as they’re coated and look nice For painting I’d say use hammerite smooth silver or black and do a good few coats, probably be easier with brush on rather than aerosol
  2. That’s why they’re so expensive it’s magic
  3. It’s been fine since the plus gas to be honest. As lubricating it sorted it if it does it again I’ll get the Wurth product
  4. I wouldn’t fancy spending that much to only have to butcher it for a Skoda logo, be better to buy the OE one of they ever did. Not something I’m desperate for but would be nice
  5. Exactly that https://youtu.be/3aqkxNqiugU https://youtu.be/RzMVGMKlnyg
  6. Does anyone know if Skoda will ever do a dynamic wheel cap like VW and Audi? My wheel caps are pretty minging and would go nicely on a superb, expensive though
  7. Finally used the boot things after 5 years
  8. Found it today, never noticed it before
  9. So they plugged it in and found a fault then want you to pay £102 for them to plug it on and see if there’s a fault? Is your car a diesel? I googled VW P171900 (p1719) and could be as simple as low ish battery or it was doing a regen
  10. Doh. 1 more thing I can think of is try pushing the inside panel on the actual boot everywhere and see if you get a rattle. Or if you think it’s actually the boot, can you push down on different areas from the outside and have someone from the inside push just after you push, if it rattles then bingo found the issue
  11. Have you removed spare wheel, tools and opened and emptied the side storage units? I had something similar on my Passat and turned out it was a wheel bolt in the storage unit wedged right down but not wedged enough for it not to rattle
  12. There’s a button on the b pillar?
  13. Do you need a superb for the space? If you’re concerned about MPG you’d be better with a smaller car especially if space isn’t required
  14. I’m sure mine has this but not as much or as visible. I think taking them out is the only way then you’ll be able to get to the back or be able to use a thin pipe cleaner
  15. When I first got my car I had the seat in the perfect position, a year later I took it for its service but I stupidly forgot to save my seat position. 4 years later I still can’t find the same position I had and get a numb bum after around 2 hours. From my experience the seat can be comfortable but I feel like the electric seat has too many variations. I think I may do baby steps with my seat adjustment and set it completely wrong then adjust 1 setting per day until I can find the sweet spot again, I know it’s there somewhere
  16. So much cheaper but unfortunately my insurance won’t have it that it’s bigger than original spec 😞
  17. Oh wise one what would you recommend then? You don’t have to be a tyre expert to recommend tyres, if you knew anything about tyres you’d know pros and cons and when tyres for our cars can be as much as £230 per tyre I’d rather not take a punt Regardless I’m waiting for the Eagle F1 Asymmetric 6 released in about 3 weeks
  18. If it’s on a 4 post lift then lifting on the sills is correct. That looks like a trolley jack has gone there with no protection 😞
  19. https://www.screwfix.com/p/varta-cr2032-coin-cell-battery-4-pack/894HK?tc=YB3&ds_kid=92700055281954487&ds_rl=1249401&gclid=EAIaIQobChMIqZnZl83D9gIVh-_tCh3MvAi0EAQYASABEgLSe_D_BwE&gclsrc=aw.ds Give them a go, been fine in mine but it’s not kessy
  20. Ouch, what year is your car?
  21. If all else fails give this a go https://youtu.be/iA9Sz8RndMo
  22. 2016 is the manufactured date. What I meant by annoying is if it didn’t have the cracks
  23. Good result, I said ages ago to get rid of it but you knew best and kept chugging along. Hopefully you can now just enjoy the car and get your evening and weekends back
