  1. Been a long day, but clearly not as bad as yours
  2. Sorry my mind has gone completely blank as to what they’re called, I’ve been calling them woot woots for so many years now I’ve forgotten. The washers for my superb are not particularly brilliant anymore, I know we can fit ones from the Passat for the fan type spray, but is that all? Recently been in father in laws A4 and the spray is so much better, even my wife’s fiat 500 is great as A4 and 500 both have 3 jets. So it’s making my wonder would an Audi A4 (maybe a6) washer fit? My car doesn’t have the heated jets p.s are they just called washer jets? 😂 woot woot still sounds better though
  3. I’ve never used waze, but couldn’t you of just used android auto or whatever it’s called? Seems like you’re going to cause more issues than gains, but I guess you had a reason you’ve not mentioned
  4. That ol’ chesnut im wondering if you could stick one of these near it for a few days https://www.eurocarparts.com/p/pingi-reusable-car-dehumidifier-549771822 or a hair dryer at a distance but enough for it to get mild/warm but not hot and see if that helps
  5. The exact times is in the files on Erwin, but I can’t quite remember but it’s around 8 years if I recall, yet over here 5 years/50k for some reason
  6. It’s funny that UK cambelts need changing at a time/miles level yet in mainland Europe it’s every 8 years regardless of miles, or something like that. #fearfactor 😞
  7. Mega old thread revival I’ve never actually set my alarm off so I’m not sure if the alarm is siren only or whether it’s linked to the horn too, but it might be worth seeing if you can set the alarm off, which I’d guess is windows down, lock it and wait a while then try opening by reaching in and try to open the door. This should set the alarm off and hopefully hear the siren, you’ll then know if your siren is working or not. When you lock your car do your indicators flash? As you may have another issue with faulty door sensors, if it flashes then I’d guess not. I did see the workshop manual and it did say to replace the siren after 7 years I think it was, so maybe yours has died. But yeah try to set the alarm off, see if it sets Also find the siren and make sure it’s plugged in
  8. Few more places I’d check would probably be drop the glovebox and check the pollen filter, just in case and probably change pollen filter whilst there Fully bring back both seats and check around that area as I’ve dropped all sorts down there thanks to the annoying gap Remove the door sill panels, the ones where you open the door and see the long plastic bit Remove the panels where your feet are at the sides, might be worth doing the passenger one too, just in case You said you have a sunroof, fully open that if you can and check the channels in there. Lastly buy a cheap endoscope camera with a light and attach that to your phone (android better I believe) then you can put that down the vents, also check the ones for the rear passenger feet vents, as well as the rear center vents
  9. Ah man, You said it can be heard if you go left then go right and also forwards and backwards Does it sound like it travels longer going left/right or forwards/backwards? Is this a sudden new noise or new car to you?
  10. Have you looked in the front passenger under seat compartment? it’s all plastic I believe so might be echoing
  11. Have you tried a spare key? I’m sure I had this on my Passat and it was the battery getting low but not enough to trigger the dash warning
  12. Looks a bit like an a6 avant from the rear which I approve of, but that camo is good so who knows
  13. I can’t remember what they’re called but it sounds like you need to fit a magnet sleeve over your dashcam cable. If you can find the name of it do a search here and should find answers
  14. Fantastic guide but I’ll be more happy parting with my money than time on this occasion 😂
  15. There is, it’s called ErWin. Not used it myself but there’s a section where you can see the service history, build information and whilst you’re there download all the workshop manuals. It’s not free though but when you pick the car up you’ll easily be able to tell if it’s Columbus or not
  16. Booked in for a DSG oil change, was meant to do it before 40k but closer to 41k now. What’s odd is the Skoda website is like £284 and says DSG Gearbox Oil + Filter. My local dealership is £215 but just says DSG Gearbox Oil, but I rang them to confirm it does come with Filter aswell, which is does. Still crazy expensive but then I cba to do it myself
  17. I thought vcds warns about having it charged?
  18. When you say everything, do you have your battery maintainer too?
  19. That’s a great idea but I don’t have a crate, had a few nightmares about them 😞
  20. I’ll probably end up unplugging it, just if it’s quiet I’m bound to forget 😞 I did find a fab yesterday with an on/off switch but I’ll still be in the same dilemma of forgetting, but no other way really. I wish car designers had dogs and would put in rear air vents, be so much better there are cars with ac vents but all 7 seaters and no need for that
  21. Thanks Was hoping it wasn’t but I’ll keep looking for what I need, which is a fan in the boot for doggo but I was hoping I could plug it in and leave it, or I need to find a fan with an on/off switch.
  22. Doubt it makes much difference but is the 12v socket in an estate always live? So ignition off, does it still provide power to whatever is connected? I don’t have anything 12v to test at the moment but I’m hoping when ignition off and car locked there’s no power to it
  23. As expected from previous results it worked perfectly with NTFS 64GB
  24. It probably recognises it’s a 64gb card and defaults to NTFS only, should be fine based on last years update though
  25. I went to the portal today and couldn’t see it, not sure why? Downloaded from the link you provided and have it on an SD card waiting for tomorrow. I used the same card as I used previously and noticed it’s in NTFS format, fat32 not on windows 11 anymore (can’t remember if it was in w10), hopefully it’ll work again
