^^^This^^^ In my experience, the service provided by Skoda Assist is exemplary. Which is a more than I can say about the dealer who supplied my three Skodas...
  2. Moll. I had one on mine. Stop/start ceased to function after two years. Car failed to start after less than three. Replaced under warranty by Skoda Assist.
  3. Hi Pat, have you seen this thread?
  4. Hi Tomas and welcome to the Forum. I still miss my Roomster Scout, which I consider the best car I have owned in fifty years of motoring. I still have the Skoda Roomster brochure from 2009, which includes spec. of the 1.6 Tiptronic. Fuel consumption is given as: Urban 27.2mpg (10.4 litres/100km) Extra Urban 45.6mpg (6.2) Combined 36.7mpg (7.7) I agree with @roottoot and @Warrior193 that the 1.6 engine is not especially fuel efficient and that the fuel consumption figures you quote are not bad at all. Also remember the Tiptronic gearbox is not as efficient as the DSG fitted to later Roomsters. If I've understood the operation of the Tiptronic correctly, its fluid flywheel causes efficiency losses in every gear except top. This is the main reason the Urban fuel consumption is comparatively poor. So my gut feeling is your Roomster has very few issues - if any at all!
  5. My Yeti is my third Skoda supplied and serviced by my local main dealer. I was originally very pleased with the performance of this main dealer and indeed wrote glowing reviews in the 'Dealer Reviews' section. But everything seemed to change when the dealer adopted Skoda's corporate image. Following recent experiences at this dealer, I've hidden the reviews I wrote and will now look to an independent for future servicing/repair. I very much doubt my next car will be a Skoda.
  6. Vettel to retire: Vettel announces his retirement from Formula 1 (msn.com)
  7. A bit of a long shot @Wiegott considering there is no Data Sticker on the boot floor. But is there a Data Sticker on the inside front cover of the Owner's Manual?
  8. Possibly a button on the key fob which if inadvertently pressed (for example by carrying the fob in a trouser pocket) will result in all the windows opening...

I couldn't agree more! In fact I've lost count of the number of times I've reminded myself of this... ...after the event
  10. I don't know if this relates to your problem but I tried all manner of cleaners to eliminate the musty smell from one of my Roomsters. They all disguised the smell for a while but the pong always returned. Then I changed the pollen filter. Bliss!
  11. Hi Jerseyt and welcome to Briskoda. Take a look at this thread Edit: Apologies - I see you've already posted on it.
  12. Another recommendation for Bosch - and for the supplier linked.
  13. Try Urrell's suggestion first. Broken wires between door and 'A' post are a known problem on earlier Yetis and may be the cause of your problem.
  14. You need to get the dealer to provide the proper, Skoda supplied spare wheel kit. The kit includes 195/60x16" spare wheel, jack, tools, stowage boxes and false floor. With this kit in place, the false floor sits level with bottom of the tailgate opening.
  15. Hi Alex, Before dismantling anything I would be inclined to check the wiring loom between the door and the 'A' pillar for broken wires. It is an easy job to pull back the bellows and it is a known failure point for Roomsters. Edit: Stratosg beat me to it!
  16. PM @Sparkgap 👍 See final post in this thread:
  17. Sorry... slightly off-topic: Does anyone know whether this problem is related to the age of the unit - or to the amount of time it is actually used? Thanks.
  18. Happy to stand corrected but I believe only facelift Roomsters have DPFs. Pre-facelift, the only model in the Roomster/Fabia range to have a DPF was the Fabia Greenline.
  19. The tailgate on my 2009 Roomster Scout needed determined closure (minor slam!) in order to overcome this problem. A few other Roomster owners have reported the same issue in the past.
  20. I feel for you. If it were mine I would remove the fuse for the sunroof, then place helicopter tape over the joint between sunroof and car body. Probably the easiest and cheapest 'cure'.
  21. And Birmingham!
  22. Happy birthday Briskoda But isn't it Brisky's 19th?
  23. Hi Guys, Take a look at this thread:
