  1. Same here! But I have read threads on here that imply door wiring harnesses differ between models depending on specification. So you may need to replace wiring harnesses in both doors in addition to mirrors and switch.
  2. Two known causes of random knock: 1) A small stone trapped between brake disc and shield. (Spinning/rotating sound?) 2) Less likely - a broken spring. Springs tend to break near their ends, and fracture may only become evident with the car jacked up and the spring fully extended.
  3. Those 5" would be the difference between ooh! and aah! when fitting inside my garage.
  4. 'Chain problems' apply to 105bhp Yetis, which are generally pre-2015 models. Later Yetis (110bhp) have cam belts. I bagged one of the last Yetis before production ceased with the intention of changing it for something else when the 5 year warranty ran out. But at 5 years I could find no other car that ticked as many of my boxes, so I hung on to it for another year. Same at 6 years. Same again at 7 years. And I'm fairly certain it will be the same again at 8 years. There are still a few nice, low mileage Yetis on the market but as you have discovered, the prices are high.
  5. I experience exactly the same thing with my DQ200 Yeti
  6. That's why you & I and many others support Briskoda with Freedom membership 👍
  7. Hi @Devan112 Have a look at this video:
  8. Hi Mark, the last time I sat in a Roomster was more than seven years ago but from memory: Height from floor to seat base is maybe a couple of inches less than in a Yeti. Height from ground to seat base is maybe 4 to 5 inches less than in a Yeti If your wife needs seat height similar to Yeti/Touran, then I doubt Roomster would be suitable. As @Ootohere has suggested, your wife really needs to sit in a Roomster to check its suitability.
  9. Alternatively, consider a jump starter. Mine has proved its worth on a couple of occasions. https://www.autoexpress.co.uk/product-group-tests/92728/best-mini-jump-starter-packs
  10. Welcome. The folding passenger seat was offered as an option on some models but as you have found, they are as rare as rocking horse poo. I considered one when I bought my Yeti (not sure if they were still available though) but realised a standard, fully reclined passenger seat was more suited to my needs. Regarding the swivel base: Even if it were possible to fit one, I very much doubt there would be sufficient clearance around the seat to allow it to turn. Try unbolting the seat sometime to check you can turn it through 180 degrees within the space available.
  11. Both of my Roomsters had fixed glass roofs. It's a feature I miss dreadfully on my Yeti.
  12. Hi Dan and welcome to Briskoda. I consider my Roomster Scout the best car I have owned in more than 50 years of motoring. Sadly I no longer have the Roomster but I had no problems driving it into my garage (210cm opening) and getting in & out of it (260cm between walls). Roomster measures 169cm wide (190cm including door mirrors). I am 6'0" and of of average build, and my biggest problem with the driving position was that I had to stretch to reach the steering wheel. At 5'8" you will sit closer to the steering wheel anyway, so I guess you won't have this problem. One other point to note is that the seats in my Scout were slightly firmer than the seats in my SE. This, for me, made them hugely more comfortable. Hope this helps. Rob

Take care GP and enjoy your retirement. Thanks for your many useful and interesting posts on here. Hope you'll still want to look in from time to time.
  14. And well done Pete 👍
  15. So long @roomster15 and all the best for the future. I have similarly fond memories of my Roomsters and still consider my Scout the best car I have owned in more than 50 years of motoring.
  16. In one of my Roomsters (same setup) it was not enough to push the seat back by hand. It needed leg power! I had to get into the seat, then slide it fully forward, then push it back hard against the stop before the mechanism would allow me to lift the seat.
  17. At the end of January 2024, All Electric ceased to be a Skoda dealer and became a KGM (SsangYong) dealer. All Electric remains an authorised & approved service & maintenance facility for Skoda cars employing the same staff and Skoda trained technicians. Here is a letter received from All Electric a few weeks ago:
  18. Hi Stewart. A Brisky member posted a picture of this cover just after I bought my first Roomster in 2009. Unfortunately, I have not been able to find the thread in which it was posted. The cover was not an elegant solution to the gap between parcel shelf and rear seats. My solution was to buy a large, black bath towel which I laid over the contents of the boot. It was almost impossible to see this towel (and hence the contents of the boot) when viewed through the tinted side windows. Despite this dumb design "feature", I consider my Roomster Scout the best car I have owned in fifty years of motoring.
  19. I think what might have happened is that the washer fluid within the pipe has frozen at the point where the pipe enters the tailgate. Opening the tailgate in this condition could have damaged the pipe.
  20. Type "Febi repair kit Skoda Yeti tailgate" into the Bay of E. Good luck!
  21. I'm confused @Expatman. Why are you selling yours? And won't you have similar regrets?
  22. Excellent news! Which fuse had blown?
  23. Check for broken wires under the shroud between top of tailgate and body of car. This is a known weakness on Roomsters.
  24. Sounds to me like a sticky centre console button. Have you've spilt your coffee over it at some time?
  25. I've had two Roomsters in the past, both with fixed glass roofs. I miss this feature dreadfully on my Yeti. Were I in Prezafab's position, I would certainly consider an L&K with no leak damage and taping up the sunroof with Gorilla or Helicopter tape.
