  1. Another phrase used is "Do an Itailian tune" - whch also means using more revs to exercise all parts of the engine and turbo.
  2. I don't think that's a coding issue, it looks to me like the LED bulbs are too voltage sensitive - and since the BMS allows the voltage to vary between just over 12V and over 14V while driving no coding is going to solve that.
  3. My understanding is that not all solar battery charger/inverters are capable of running in off-line mode (i.e. during a power cut)?
  4. Changing the bulb type requires changes to the correct Leucht channels in the BCM. What do you mean by "loupes"?
  5. The ECU doesn't have mapping for 91RON fuel so the risk of pre-ignition (pinking) is increased, which can cause damage to pistons and valves if used long term so I would not use 91RON myself except in an extreme emergency.
  6. Keep looking on eBay, SOME sellers do list the size - but check it as soon as it arrives, the first"32GB" card I bought was actually 16GB so I returned it for a refund but the second one was 32GB.
  7. I've had an Amundsen for 9 years so I hope I can clarify: 1) You MUST use a Skoda branded SD card. 2) Amundsen reads the maps directly from the SD card. 3) Having 2 map SD cards inserted at the same time can confuse the Amundsen, what I do is buy a Skoda SD card from eBay then quick format it and copy the unzipped new maps onto it. When done remove the existing SD card from slot 1 and insert the new one, and wait for it to be recognised... This has worked for me for the twice yearly updates since 2016.
  8. Since they are wholly owned subsidiaries of Volkswagen AG that's likely unless another car manufacturer wants to buy the brand name - but then they probably wouldn't be able to use VAG parts so would be SEAT or Skoda in name only.
  9. Have a look at this thread Infotainment Model Numbers
  10. They're completely different!
  11. I've used this wireless adapter for 6 years and found it 100% reliable.
  12. I've been using this wireless CarPlay adapter for 6 years and found it 100% reliable.
  13. It's the same on my fiancee's 2011 Audi A4 cabriolet, no dipstick and can only see the oil level on the infotainment with the ignition on. So this "progress" was already happening 14 years ago!
  14. Paperwork complications after Brexit is what Kopacek say, nothing to do with distance.
  15. Me too on my 2016 L&K with a MIB2 Amundsen, both TSR and HBA which I find really useful.
  16. @Ootohere I know you love being pedantic but really the difference between 97, 98 & 99 in this context is not worth posting about 🤡
  17. Provided you don't live in the UK, as Kopacek won't ship items too large for Royal Mail to the UK.
  18. Exactly what I have done with the Octavia's I've owned over the past 9 years.
  19. There is no reason to change the timing belt on a 2020 car in 2025 - whoever advised it is way out of date since Skoda UK finally got in line with the rest of the VAG empire a while back and scrapped the ridiculous 5 year interval.
  20. You mention 3 cylinders and timing belt, what engine do you have?
  21. It's not the ethanol concentration it's the higher RON value that is beneficial (provided the ECU tuning has maping for the higher RON).
