Skoda 2014 vRS TDI
What model Skoda, I'm guessing an Octavia?

OEM smart phone cup holder and Mk3 new car docs
I use the closable cubby at the front for sweet wrappers And with the "phone holder that's too small to use as a phone holder" there's still room for one cup which is all I normally need.

Any coders that could lend a hand?
Previously I had an Audi RS4 which had switchable exhaust flaps (button on the steering wheel), having the exhaust in Sport mode was quite a bit louder and definitely changed peoples perception of speed. A good friend in a nearby road would occasionally said to me "you weren't hanging about yesterday" on days when I had Sport mode on but was still within the 30mph limit (according to both speedo and GPS).

Constant live when IGN is on
Is the supply to the cam turning off, or the cam turning off due to lower voltage?

OEM smart phone cup holder and Mk3 new car docs
I use mine to keep the phone cable and 12V charger tidy when not in use.

Diesel Engie question
You expect dealers to have good product knowledge? - simply put, they do not. The introduction of water cooled turbos and electric auxiliary pumps many years ago made that advice complete nonsense on any vehicle built in the last "many years".

Snapped Cambelt!!
@dhandley as per the thread you started are you sure your vRS has a cambelt? If it's a TSI then it does NOT.

Are the higher spec seats more comfortable?
I have a 2016 Octavia L&K Octavia 3 and have found the seats very comfortable even with my ong standing back injury. Yesterday I drove from Bath to Exeter and back with no back problems at all.

Quick wheel check/advice
With that low mileage the rust (which always forms) won't have had much opprotunity to be worn off, so I would say perfectly normal and OK.

the truth about electric cars
The original Capri was often known by an anagram of its name (Crapi), and it's sounds like the new one will inherit that dubious honour.

the truth about electric cars
But to offset that the new "VW" Amarok Mk2 is actually a Ford Ranger in disquise.

Tow Bar Module and Parking Sensors Help
Left field thought - is the towbar module mounted on top of the part assist module?
-
Tow Bar Module and Parking Sensors Help
Find the park assist module and check the fuse(s) that power it and connections to it.

Are the higher spec seats more comfortable?
I'm interested what you mean by "just run in" as your profile says you have a 2014 Octavia III? Saying "just run in" about a 10 year old car seems somewhat unusual to me?

Is the latest map update for the Amundsen infotainment system really 2020/21??
That's not correct, 2013 to early 2015 cars had a MIB1 system not a MIB2. The change to MIB2 happened around Q2 2015. MIB1 maps stopped being issued in 2020/21 (5 years after the last production date). MIB2 maps are still being issued (but later than usual) - I've just updated to the 2024 maps.

Octavia Scout 2015 Towbar
Seems to me that what @martwerk needs to know is the maximum nose weight not the maximum towing weight since he wants to fit a towbar mounted bike rack not tow anything.

Infotainment Model Numbers
Would make more sense for you to post in the correct Superb forum then 👍

Infotainment Model Numbers
Firmware update can use any SD card, even on an Amundsen. You say you updated the maps OK, do you have to leave the SD card in the slot in the glovebox for navigation to work? If not them I'm puzzled as the part number you've posted appears to be for an Amundsen but if navigation works without the SD card in place then that suggests it's a Columbus???

the truth about electric cars
... which, apart from purchase price, is one of the main factors why in March 2024 BEV sales made up a smaller percentage of overall car sales. I know it doesn't seem to affect some (many?) on here but for a significant number of the UK population there is a cost of living problem (call it a crisis if you must) and unless and until BEV prices to buy/lease AND RUN drop considerably the chance of the car makers meeting the market percentage targets is getting smaller all the time.

Infotainment Model Numbers
That's a MIB2 Amundsen, good luck getting the dealer to supply the correct SD card - the dealer in Southampton didn't have a clue so I bought genuine Skoda one (that's essential as a generic SD card won't work) on eBay for a fraction of the official price.
