Replacement Wipers
I dug out the OE wipers supplied on my MY18 Superb, they appear the same as yours and I had no problem fitting the Bosch A864s set. The button needs to be held down while fitting, otherwise you can't push them on.

Replacement Wipers
Yes they look different, I would contact the supplier with a view to a full refund, refer them to the fact that the Bosch catalog appears incorrect and send the photos. Give them the Skoda part no. that the dealer supplied. What is the new Skoda part no? Strangely, Horton Skoda says only one part for all Superbs 2015-2021 https://www.theskodashop.co.uk/collections/skoda-windscreen-wipers/products/sskoda-front-wiper-blade-set-superb-iii Did you put the wipers in maintenance mode (parked vertically) before fitting? Maybe the Bosch were just a tighter fit

Replacement Wipers
I find this a little difficult to believe. What were the revised part no's for the 2020 model? Were the Amazon parts genuine Bosch A864S exact fit wipers? Universal options or third party equivalents are usually **** and dont fit properly. You may have got counterfeit product. Link to Amazon item will help

Totally Confused Over Correct Oil
To add to the confusion my MY2018 1.4tsi Superb (no PPF) came with an old fashioned printed manual. Only reference to oil in it is this To find out which type of engine oil you can use for your vehicle, contact a specialist garage. If this oil is not available, other oils can also be refilled. To prevent engine damage, a maximum of 0.5 l of engine oil with the following specifications may be used until the next oil change: ▶ Petrol engines: VW 504 00, VW 502 00, VW 508 00, ACEA A3/ACEA B4 or API SN, (API SM); ▶ Diesel engines: VW 507 00, ACEA C3 or API CJ-4. Engine oil VW 505 01 can optionally be used in diesel engines without a DPF My engine has a factory applied sticker on the slam panel Bearing in mind that 508.00 is not backward compatible and the numerous warnings I've seen that it should not be used on engines that are not designed and specified to use it and the possibility of damage, I personally would stick to 504.00 on any car prior to MY19 unless there was some definite proof (e.g. a sticker as above) that it was ok to use 508.00 Also bear in mind that engines evolve and a MY19+ 1.0tsi engine may have had modifications that allow 508.00 use that the earlier version did not have. Changes will be more than just sticking on a PPF.

Low Battery and no 2 cylinder mode
ACT 2 cylinder mode would not be affected by a low battery, that would only affect stop/start which will be inhibited. ACT requires that power demand is less than 25% of the max available at the rpm you are running at for more than a few seconds. Also rpm must be in the range 1500 - 4000 rpm for it to kick in. It will also be inhibited temporarily if your driving pattern indicates it would be enabling/disabling too often, i.e. round town with frequent acceleration and deceleration. When the engine is cold, its unlikely to activate very often simply due to power demand with cold oils in the engine and transmission. That will be your issue, I'm sure, judging from my own experience in my car. If you want to test it, drive very gently and steadily for a sustained period on the level or on a downward stretch and make sure your selected gear is such that revs are greater than say 2000 rpm when its easier to meet the 25% criteria rather than 1500 rrp when max power available is lower Of course make sure your tyres are inflated to the correct pressure, too easy to firget tyres lose pressure over time and in winter and low pressure means more power is required to maintain speed. If you have selectable driving modes, try ECO mode when maybe its more likely to be activated often. On the other hand, Sport mode is likely to use 2 cylinder mode less

Traffic sign recognition coding and OBDeleven
Could be that optional extras not fitted at the factory such as traffic sign recognition are locked down and VAG no longer allow those functions to be enabled for free by a third party. Best contact OBD eleven for support

Traffic sign recognition coding and OBDeleven
I think I read that facelift models ie MY20 onwards now have SFD protection, which means modules can only be unlocked by connecting to a factory server. EN_SFD-Manual_for_UMB.pdf Edit: obd eleven claim they can circumvent SFD so I don't know https://obdeleven.com/en/latest-news/post/45_sfd-unlocked-with-obdeleven-.html?page_type=0

Halogen H7 upgrade - before and after
There is a legal limit for halogens of 1500 lumens ±10% and both standard and upgrade bulbs comply tightly with this legal requirement. At best an upgrade bulb will be at the upper limit, they run hotter so are whiter and have shorter life. Having a slightly shorter filament, tighter geometry control and often a light blue part that is an infra red reflector that increases the filaments temperature. Most promotional material has nowadays been altered from +xxx% brighter to xxx metre greater visibility, which is entirely due to minor tweaks to filament position and claims derived as a result of being tested in a standard reflector lamp, not the projector lamps that many Skoda's have. They are also designed to give a hotspot of light further forward. Similar comments can be made regarding Xenon lights These have a legal limit of 2000 lumens if they don't have self levelling and washers or 3000 lumens if they do. Similar rules apply to led lights I think. Of course the abomination that are VAG shutter controlled projector lights mean that 50% or more of the possible light output is blanked off by the shutter on dip. In this application upgrade bulbs are little more than a whiter placebo.

Screen wash tablets
How are tablets going to give you protection against freezing? Doesn't that require alcohol? Ahh, after a google it seems tablets don't offer any protection against freezing. The manufacturer suggests dissolving them in a an antifreeze windscreen solvent.... https://www.303products.co.uk/shop/303-instant-windscreen-washer-tablets/ I use Vauxhall Trade Club* Concentrated Screenwash, bought from my local Vauxhall dealer at trade price about £3.50 for 5 litre. *Now Distrigo, the TPS of Stellantis.

parking in a box/garage?
With only 5cm to spare, its not going to be a practical proposition to park it in that garage. You would need cm precision. Bear in mind that some DSGs particularly DQ200 are not good at low speed manoeuvres. Particularly when on a slope. Even with a wooden stop across the floor (my solution) the car can easily go forward more than 5cm beyond that due to tyre/suspension flexibility when parking. Try before you buy. Your car parking sensors will be screaming all the way in.

Does the petrol 150 act 1.4tsi have a dmf?
DSG definitely have, manual not sure, I've seen both SMF and DMF listed on Skoda-parts.com for 6 spd manual. It would make sense that ACT would demand DMF.

How far can i drive on battery?
Check if the water pump is driven by the aux belt, in which case inadvisable to drive very far at all.

Help !! Engine died after replacing oil pump hex drive
No! Not even a fully disconnected or seized turbo (which is not since it whistles) would prevent the car from starting. Just little or no power. First check the battery terminal connectors are not loose. They forget to tighten them? After that its more likely the battery has died (one cell) or the alternator is not charging. A dead battery cell can't be recharged. A battery tester will confirm. Check all wiring has been reconnected after the repair. Get it back to your repairer and get them to check their work. The other avenue to check is fuel, have you got enough diesel in the tank, has it been contaminated with petrol, has the fuel filter been changed correctly, is the lift pump working are just a few things to check

My first service - what do I need?
I have always been a scrooge about servicing and apart from the first 3 yr brake fluid change I've generally ignored any need to change fluid in 4 skodas run to well over 100,000 miles. With the benefit of hindsight that now seems a costly mistake. After a further 6+ years they all required some costly remedial brake work. Leaking rear slave cylinders or brakes dragging, caliper pistons not fully releasing or becoming seized. Again in hindsight whenevever I've changed pads and pushed the pistons back with the bleed valve open, a significant to large amount of crud and heavily discolured fluid always came out. This despite the reservoir looking sparkly clean. What I am suggesting is that corrosion can and does occur locally inside the calipers and slave cylinders regardless of what water content may indicate in the brake reservoirs. With ever more complex and expensive braking systems, ACC, ABS ESP, traction control and more, its just too risky to skip a full fluid change and rely simply on H2O testing at the brake reservoir. Skoda insist that parts replaced under warranty are returned to them for examination and will reject claims where lack of recommended servicing and maintenance can be used to explain the failure.

Skoda "All-in-one" Package
You can have your included MOTs and services anytime you like after the plan has started, next day if you want. I'm not sure, but I think maybe the eligibility check also needs to be done after the car has reached 3 years. You cannot have any other additinal warranty cover i.e. extended skoda warranty, to qualify, so these must be cancelled if you have taken one out. If, like me you took out a years Skoda extended warranty, this involved a phone call, they cancelled it and got a prorata refund less a admin charge of £25 iirc. This plan, as with all Skoda warranties, including the original new car warranty do not cover wear and tear items, e.g. brake pads/discs, shock absorbers nor do they cover adjustments such as lights. Read the t&c's Servicing regime can be fixed or variable, but you must specify if you want variable before they service your car. Another strange thing is you don't get a written or emailed contract sent to you. Not even an acknowledgement. Only Skoda finance invoices sent by post every month are evidence that the plan is in place and even those just say "Fixed price servicingn. There is a contract no printed.

1st service due ?
To answer the OP's question, Yes, only an oil, oil filter and sump plug change. Some, if not most dealers carry out a free vehicle health check and send you a one minute video, basically a visual check of tyres, brakes, exhaust and suspension.
-
1st service due ?
Service sheets are generated on the day of servicing by a distant computer in the Skoda service recording system. Maybe even even direct from the factory, it will generate TPI's and other custom information depending on a car's individual VIN, build and service record. Erwin can give you what you want, but there is a small cost involved
-
My first service - what do I need?
I've not heard of Skoda dealer service measuring brake fluid rather than changing it and I doubt that would meet Skoda recommendations. It could give Skoda Financial Services who run your plan wiggle room in the event of a related warranty claim. Ask for a full service record printout from your dealer and check what it says. Your choice whether to take the risk and even some potential effect on the car's resale value.

1st service due ?
He has bought a plan. That plan has t&c's

My first service - what do I need?
The Skoda service computer will decide exactly what needs doing and what will not. Mine in a very similar circumstance/age/mileage was given an oil change and a pollen filter even though it had a pollen filter only 10 months previously. Iirc it also had the extended scope, which seems to be just some additional inspection and tick boxes. You can request your car is left/put on variable servicing (up to 2 yr / 18,600 miles), but if you don't request it, it's likely to be reset to fixed servicing (1 yr / 9300miles). Spark plugs won't be changed as it isnt close enough to the 4 yr/40,000 mile spark plug interval. Aircon won't be touched unless you agree to paying the extra charge which will be offered. Regassing is not covered under warranty. You would need to pay for a brake fluid change which is not covered by your plan (1st change is recommended / required at 3 yrs) otherwise the warranty will not cover items that might be deemed affected by lack of this maintenance.
-
Extended warranty. Is it worth the money?
You may have missed a trick there. This scheme allows your service regime to be on variable (on request) so the 2 services included could have covered you for up to 4 years. That is, if you are comfortable with the variable service regime.
-
1st service due ?
For information, the All in service plan which costs £768 or £32/month over 2 years, gives you 2 services, one of which is an extended scope and includes plugs/diesel fuel filter, 2 MOTs, 2 yrs warranty and breakdown. Services can be put on the variable schedule so up to 4 years worth of servicing. But only available on cars 3-6 years old that pass an eligibility check (involves a free inspection at a dealer). New car buyers are being ripped off.
-
1st service due ?
Its a (ridiculous) condition of the 2 services plan (bought when new) that the car is set to fixed (9400mile/1year) interval. You don't even get 372 days on the new cars now, its set at 365 days. 2 services are 2 oil/filter changes and one pollen filter and an "inspection"
-
Extended warranty. Is it worth the money?
All in service plan was 20% off during November as Black Friday special, now back at normal price around £32 per month. Includes 2 services and MOTs, 2 yr warranty and breakdown cover

Columbus Map Update 2022 (MIB1/2 HIGH)
Further investigation VW portal: https://navigation-maps.volkswagen.com/vw-maps/P195_N60S5MIBH3_EU_NT.7z Škoda portal: https://infotainment-cdn.skoda-auto.com/base/maps/HIGH12_P195_EU_202145.zip I extracted the VW file with 7-zip v1900 and the Skoda file with the native zip extractor on Win10 21H1 For some unknown reason it took several attempts to extract the Skoda file with the extraction process crashing/freezing at various points. Once both extracted successfully I compared all the files across the two extracted downloads for file structure and byte to byte comparison. They were identical except for one file Mib2\SpeechResVDE\EU_Italy\0\default\Italy.iso both file sizes = 72,843,264 2 bytes (one 16 bit word) were different Offset address at 2954BF0 0EE6 (VW) 2B57 (Skoda)
