MY17 Superb SLA Headlights Upgrade - Help
Converting from Halogen headlights to SLA Bi-Xenon headlights, let alone normal Bi-xenon headlights, will b a massive job!! I would not recommend it. In addition to the Bi-xenon headlights, u'll need:- - 3x levelling sensors - 2x light controller modules per headlight - 1x ballast per headlight - 1x AFS module - completely different wiring loom - upgraded BCM module - A5 camera - headlight washer - upgraded washer fluid tank .....and a whole bunch of coding and parameter files for various modules.

Aux lightbar highbeam trigger
potentially, especially something like an auxiliary lighting system, hence i why i initially said "no guarantee". when i added the DRL light bar on my Superb, i did the test with a wiring harness to tap into the DRL signal, and low beam signal, and was able to do it successfully without any errors thrown. most likely because the DRL light bar consumed very little power. however, because i wanted my DRL light bar to act (dim and brighten) like factory DRLs, i did the complicated BCM method. u can read about it here. in theory, u could use Pin 11 from the headlight connector to trigger a relay, which will turn on an auxiliary light that is powered separately, and not through the same pin, thus not increasing the load.

Aux lightbar highbeam trigger
That's the method I did to connect my additional DRL light strip, but I was sharing the easier "least complicated" method which doesn't involve tapping into the BCM and running a wire through the firewall to get into the engine bay, and doesn't involve coding of a Leuchte channel.

Aux lightbar highbeam trigger
@MrPekka - I can't guarantee it will work, but u can try splicing into Pin #11 of the headlight connector plug. That one is for the high beam - xenon shutter signal.

Headlight repair/projector bowl issue
if u have found a good replacement pair - its doable. its just the hassle of removing the bumper to remove the headlights, and then finding a workshop that will recode/reparameterize the Headlight module so it pairs with the replaced headlights. the bi-xenon headlights on the mk3 Superb r good, if aimed correctly. when i first got mine many many years ago, i replaced the factory xenon bulbs with Phillips xTremeVision Gen2 bulbs. this was a nice improvement over stock. I then swapped out my normal Bi-xenon headlights for SLA Bi-Xenon headlights. last year i replaced the xTremeVision D3S bulbs with LED D3S bulbs - another nice improvement over stock. this is the video of my headlights when it had the xTremeVision bulbs.

Superb SE Tech PHEV - can I replace the Infotainment with MIB 2.5?
just to clarify, talking Columbus range here..... MIB2 (8" screen) will ONLY work with MIB2 units. MIB2.5 (9.2" screen) will ONLY work with MIB2.5 units. MIB2 units (Harman) can b converted to MIB2.5, so you can retrofit a 9.2" screen and/or Virtual Cluster. Once converted, the 8" screen will NOT work with the MIB2.5 unit. With Amundsen or Bolero range, i'm not sure of their inter-compatibilities.

Headlight repair/projector bowl issue
@Danoid, @Wacked - replacing the headlights, even if it's like for like will require the slave modules (2x per headlight) to be recoded or reparameterized to the AFS Master module, in ur case, being MY15 - Module #55 Headlight. U need specialist tools like ODIS or VCP to perform that. R ur headlights pointing downwards? Do they still do the headlight dance on startup? Any errors reported when u do a scan?

Superb SE Tech PHEV - can I replace the Infotainment with MIB 2.5?
@MarkyG82 - good point. The 2020 PHEV is an MIB3 unit. @joeslaughter - don't follow my instructions. I don't know the different MIB3 screens & units - so I can't comment/advise.

Superb SE Tech PHEV - can I replace the Infotainment with MIB 2.5?
Ah yes. U can read the guide I created then. I upgraded the 8" MIB2 screen to a 9.2" MIB2.5 screen, and did a firmware update of the head unit to MIB2.5. Details here -

Autohold, barke pedal smashing noise?
that is not normal. with Auto Hold active or not, the brake pedal should release the same way each time, with no pops bangs or noises.

Gandalf's Evolution
After almost 4.5 yrs, Gandalf's battery was showing signs of weakness when cracking the engine. So I replaced the Exide EFB+ battery with a Century ISS Active AGM battery. Old: 12v 70ah 700CCA EFB+ New: 12v 70ah 720CCA AGM Did the Battery Adaptation too, changing it to Fleece.

Superb SE Tech PHEV - can I replace the Infotainment with MIB 2.5?
The smaller 8" MIB2 Columbus screen (with buttons) will definitely NOT work on the MIB2.5 head units, or in ur case - MIB3 either.

VCDS options on Superb III
@MarkyG82 - I've scoured through countless OBDEleven, Rosstech and VW forums - seen no luck of anyone doing it successfully. At least that I could find. I even checked the Russian forums.....no deal. If u do find - that will b gold.

VCDS options on Superb III
I'm not aware of anyone who has been able to successfully change the 3-sec ACC wait time to b a longer interval. Would certainly b nice to have. It is however possible to change the 12-sec hands on lane keeping assist to b 60-secs, via an updated parameter file for the Gateway module.

Battery Change Superb mk3
when i had to remove my battery, i didn't connect any "memory saver" device to my car. the battery was disconnected for a couple of hours whilst i did some work on the car. the result was that my Trip computer mileage readings reset - but that's no biggie. i also needed to re-learn the power windows one touch auto up/down - it is however a simple process. plenty of youtube vids showing how to do it. apart from that - everything else was fine.

New steering wheel option
That should fit.....provided neither have heating, or both have heating. If there is a difference, then u'll need to change the clockspring as well, which is an additional cost. I transferred the airbag over from the old wheel. I've retrofitted a flat-bottomed steering wheel from mk3 Octavia RS to my Superb MY17 220. No issues. Left = original Right = secondhand flat-bottomed wheel.

SKODA SUPERB 2016 TPMS FAULT
@Nab93 - it's not a simple process to disable the TPMS. There r a number of different modules u need to make code changes via VCDS or OBDEleven. If I were u, I would b getting to my the root of ur problems. Something is causing ur TPMS to trigger. Have u scanned ur car for errors? R ur ABS sensors good. Which tyre is the TPMS sensor complaining about? Usually it tells u which corner, like this....
-
Vcds language
@Frizz - use Google Translate!! It's wat many people do. Rosstech forum. OBDEleven forum.

Glacier White or Moon White?
@Danoid - The Build Plate on the door pillar won't have the paint code. This is the Build Plate on the door pillar. @Dooge - The build sticker in the boot with the PR Codes will have the paint code. Or u jump on Skoda erWin, enter ur VIN number to find out. This is the build sticker in the boot, showing the paint code.

SKODA SUPERB 2016 TPMS FAULT
As above, the Superb has Indirect TPMS, using the ABS sensors to detect each wheel's rotational speed, and hence if a tire pressure is off. Did u fix the puncture or change the tyre or put a spare wheel on? When u reset the TPMS, did u hear a boing sound? If ur still getting TPMS warnings then something might b wrong with ur ABS sensor!

Bilstein b12 pro kit
Yes, ur on the right track with that part number for the Eibach springs. That pic was on factory 19x8 ET44 rims with 12mm spacers up front and 10mm at the rear. Now I'm running aftermarket 19x8.5 ET35 rims and no spacers.
-
What size wheels/tyres will fit to Superb III
those rims look nice 😍 i'm also running 245/40R19 tyres, on Rotiform 19x8.5 ET35. sits nicely with the body too 🙂

Bilstein b12 pro kit
Eibach Part Numbers in table below. Given urs is a FWD 220 wagon/estate, it should be - E10-79-012-03-22 i've got a FWD 220 liftback/sedan, hence i'm running E10-85-042-02-22 in mine.
