  1. I've been running 245/40/19 tyres for 2 yrs plus with no issues or vibrations. Plenty of others have been using the same size tyres too with no problems.
  2. @ApertureS- u referring to this? The test was done by DSC Sport in the US. "We had some pretty interesting findings today when shock dynoing the Bilstein Damptronic B16's for a MK7 Golf R (part number 49-255874). We found the Bilsteins only are able to control the rebound, while the factory shocks are able to control both compression and rebound with their valving. This means the Bilstein Damptronics are a less capable setup when looking at compression adjustment, but still happen to have slightly greater rebound range. Basically the only benefits to the Damptronics are adjustable spring perches to change ride height and stiffer springs. But are not beneficial when looking at the "active" functionalities of the shock. This is due to the valve used in this specific shock, however in other Bilstein kits we have tested, like the Porsche Kit, the valve is different and was able to control both rebound and compression."
  3. Esshhhh.....weird indeed!!! U mentioned u've changed the ballast, but have u tried/checked the headlight driver module too? There r two modules under each headlight. U can see the two modules at the top of this pic......
  4. +1 The Canton sound is still great whilst sitting in the rear of my 2017 Superb. I can also clearly hear audio coming out of both the top and bottom speakers of the rear doors. My Canton Balance/Fader is set for centre/middle of the car interior.
  5. @Colin170CR- geez.....wat an adventure!!! Good u didn't give up and persisted. I just hope u don't have curtain airbags as the wiring u've run through the roof liner will foul the airbag in the event of an accident.
  6. @Waylon - wat is the story with ur 4B module? Is it the original that came with ur car, or did u replace that? If it is the original 4B module, has it been parameterized with a file that has the datasets for dynamic light assist? If so, was the file sourced from another facelift Superb with factory fitted Matrix LED headlights?
  7. @Waylon- wat is the byte/bit u r changing, and to wat? When I retrofitted SLA headlights, I had to modify Byte 21 Bit 5. Assuming ur playing with the facelift matrix LED headlights, u'll need to select the right option for u. Mine is set to Hex 40 as I have SLA. These r the available options with the 4B module:-
  8. That is correct, given the current version of modules u have listed.
  9. Speaking of speaker ratings for the Canton system in the Superb......
  10. As per @ApertureS comments earlier above, u need to remove the entire centre console.
  11. The push in version which goes into the existing 12v socket will sit too high. Hence why I replaced the existing 12v socket with the USB socket. If u want to simply convert the socket, then yes it does require u to remove the bottom compartment/console/ashtray. If u want to run a USB cable from it to the inside of ur armrest centre console, then yes u need to remove the surround, air vents and controls.
  12. @Danoid - here u go.... https://www.ebay.com.au/itm/204100212481?mkcid=16&mkevt=1&mkrid=705-154756-20017-0&ssspo=52kk8DS-SF2&sssrc=4429486&ssuid=lD_jGR-4Tj6&var=&widget_ver=artemis&media=COPY
  13. hey hey. the usb cable length was 1.2m - Mcdodo USB Type-C data, charging cable. with the 12v USB socket, yes it sits fairly flush. it needs to b if u intend to keep the console closed. u also need a low profile usb head (end connector), which is why i got a 90 degree version of the usb cable. i'll have to find the link to the 12v usb socket and share it with u. i got it from eBay.
  14. These r not standard or upgrade for Superb, let alone any other Skoda models, hence it's not right to put the details on that post. It's something that I made up myself. I bought slim 2.7mm LED strips from AliExpress, cut them into 12mm length, soldered the wiring & plugs, then stuck them to a grove inside the door pocket, along the top edge. I spliced into the door warning lights for power. It involves removing the door cards, so u can drill a tiny 3mm hole in the corner of the door pocket.
  15. Latest project completed on Gandalf - added ambient lighting to the inside of the door pockets, so I can actually see wat stuff is in there. Wiring is piggy backed off the door warning light, so it turns on and off with the door open/close. All 4 door pockets now have ambient lighting 😁

  17. That top panel is secured by torx screws as well as being clipped in across the top edge of the grill. See pic below - circles r torx screws. Dashes r clips. It is very difficult to remove from the top alone. I would recommend removing the entire front bumper, then u can easily access the two horns.
  18. They exist now 🙂 They were introduced with the facelift Superb. Prior to that, ventilation was only available on the leather seats.
  19. I don't know for sure, but I believe all OEM DCC shocks r Monroe, across Skoda, VW, Seat etc. etc.
  20. A company in the US, called DSC Sport performed some shock dyno testing a few years ago on the Bilstein Damptronic B16's and they found that the Bilsteins only are able to control the rebound, while the factory DCC shocks are able to control both compression and rebound with their valving. "This means the Bilstein Damptronics are a less capable setup when looking at compression adjustment, but still happen to have slightly greater rebound range. 21. U don't have to agree. I prefer practicality over appearance. If I had the option, I would prefer looking out a clean rear window than a dirty window. This is based on my experience of having a liftback with a rear wiper, and now having one without.
  22. i miss having a rear windscreen wiper on my Superb hatch. i had one on my Octavia RS hatch, and it was great. the rear windscreen is so large, and mostly flat - it gets filthy, and i hate that. sadly we (in australia) never had the option to spec a rear windscreen wiper for the mk3 Superb. stupid. retrofitting one is not an option either, otherwise i would've done it.
  23. I ordered a genuine AQS recently, 5Q0907643F, from ECS Tuning. Waiting for it to arrive. I currently have 5Q0907643D, from factory. My AirCare doesn't work, and occasionally I'll get an AQS error in Module 08, but no side effects. Am hoping this version will stop the errors and AirCare will b good. I too have read on various other forums of people buying the cheap AliExpress version, and then running into worse problems, and removing them in the end. My original AQS.....
  24. I've got 245/40/19 tyres on the factory 19x8 rims. Car is also lowered and on 10mm spacers at the rear & 12mm at the front. No scrapping or scrubbing issues.
  25. I always keep a finger or two on the steering wheel because I can't trust it 100%. However it's much much more relaxing to have, especially on long straight highways & freeways.
