it can b done by updating the Gateway software version to version which has the parameter modified. in my case, it is now set to 60 secs. default was 12 secs. my gateway SW version was updated when i had the DCC Mod done to my Superb MY17.

thanks to the responses, and doing further research on other forums, my plan is to use an unused BCM channel (i only need 1 channel/wire for this purpose), set Lichtfunktion, set Dimmwert, set Dimming etc etc, run the '+' wire to the pin that matches the Leuchte channel - and Bob's my uncle!! Guilty. How did u know/guess!?!? The Superb pre-facelift grille has opening that lines up with headlight DRL strips. It's just a project that I may, or may not do. Depends if I can tap into the BCM correctly first. Then I'll c how it looks with the LED strip behind the grille.

@ApertureS - that would b the ideal way to do it, by connecting to the BCM directly. I did some more reading up on how people retrofitted the VW light bar and illuminated badge, and someone mentioned using Pin A61 from the BCM. "This is necessary for the conversion from DRL to high beam brightness." Question is - how do I create Leuchte channel, and code/program it to be and act like a DRL? I'm comfortable with accessing the BCM as I've done it before when I did the illuminated door sills retrofit. I'll need to however do my research on the Leuchte channels. Thanks.

Hi Folks, Hoping someone can shed some light here. Essentially i have a project that i'm looking at doing that involves adding an additional LED strip, that will behave just like the factory DRLs, i.e. full brightness and dim. when the factory DRLs r at full power, the additional LED strip will also b at full power. when the factory DRLs r dimmed, the additional LED strip will also dim. ideally i splice into the approapriate wire at the headlight connector, and piggy back the additional LED strip off that. worse case, i have to get power from the BCM. i definitely do not want to open my headlights. Would this b possible? My car is a Skoda Superb MY17, with factory DRLs in the bi-xenon headlights, as per the pic. it uses a 14-pin headlight connector. from the various diagrams i've seen, i can see Pin #10 & #12 are the ones i could potentially use, as they are pos+ for the DRL stripes. so, in theory, if i splice into either #10 or #12, and ground (#7), will i b able to achieve my target? It applies to the "permanent", i.e. Comfort Connect too!! I use the Comfort Connect and it's negative connection is on the chassis. There is a negative chassis connection point on the firewall behind the battery. The key here is that ur battery is "mounted inside a vehicle" at all times, unless u physically take it out to charge it each time! I highly recommend u use that chassis point.

I have a CTEK MX5.0 and the user manual explicitly says to connect the charger's negative wire to the chassis. It says the negative connection must b away/remote from the battery.

Replaced the AQS Sensor in my Superb today. Old - 5Q0907643D (HW 30; SW 119) New - 5Q0907643F (HW 32; SW 120) Hopefully no more intermittent errors with the Air Conditioning Module 08 anymore. This was the error I would get randomly, sometimes.... "Air Quality Sensor B10AF04 [008] - Internal System Fault" Fingers crossed.

No, they r the pre-facelift tail lights. I added a light smoke tint to it, otherwise factory lights. I added a chrome strip to it - door edge protectors in fact, that I repurposed. Still going strong after 3 yrs plus. I originally wanted to retrofit the facelift tail lights, along with the chrome strip, but it was too much of a hassle, and very expensive for all the bits n pieces required. So I did my version, thanks to a cheap AliExpress alternative!! I also used the same chrome stripe on the lower door trim.

Hey hey. The cable is actually going around the A5 camera housing, but I managed to tuck it under the trim, and then under the roof liner towards the A-pillar. I didn't remove the A5 Camera trim surround - didn't want that hassle.

Throttle Controllers..... phwoahhhh!!!! Fitted an Ultimate9 EVC Throttle Controller EVC201L. Combined with the Stage 1 tune, it's like an Energizer bunny!!! Nice and easy to install too.

Sounds like ur "new light switch" has something to do with it. Was it working before that?

I've got the Blackvue Power Magic Pro. It's wired to a permanent power source in the glovebox fuse board. So far I haven't had any battery drain issues either. It's been 2 yrs plus now.

I turned off the "EasyEntry_Enable_Passenger_Over_DriverMMI" as u recommended and the error in 5F module disappeared. Makes sense given there is no software module or memory for the passenger seat - just electrics. Sadly the Easy Entry still not working. Also the Seat menu has disappeared from the Vehicle Settings. No idea why it's not behaving. Do I need to reset my Personalisation settings? Do I need to change my Key Assignment, under Personalisation, to Automatic? I tried enabling the Easy Entry on my MY17 Superb too, but with no luck. I get the message "This function is currently not available" Not sure why. I don't know how to fix it. The virtual dash will only ever show the factory maps. It won't show CarPlay or Android Auto maps.

I don't know wat the process is to re-parameterize the Canton. Perhaps a visit to the service centre to see if they can help u out. Otherwise @varooom might have some ideas?

My seat controller module was replaced under warranty, about 4-5 yrs ago. They tried a software update, but that didn't fix it. Seems coincidental that this has happened not long after u did a firmware update. Likely u need to get the Canton re-parameterized. Have u done a scan? Any errors?

There is a TPI for it, see if ur Skoda service center will replace it for u. TPI - 2049398/3 printTechnicalServiceHandbook-2049398-3.pdf I've been getting the same error too. The part number I've got in Gandalf currently is 5Q0907643C. I've ordered a replacement part 5Q0907643F. Hopefully this fixes the problem.

the SWaP/FEC codes cannot b activated using ur standard VCDS or OBDEleven tools. u need specialist tools for that, ur MIB unit needs to b hacked, and patched with the appropriate files too.

i've got the ContiMaxContact6 (MC6). its on the factory 19x8 Skoda Trinity rims. also with 12mm hub-centric spacers at the front, and 10mm at the rear.
