  1. Sounds to me like the place u took it to have no clue of wat they r doing. Replacing just the PDC holders will have zero effect on the module or coding associated. I have replaced all 4 PDC holders on my rear bumper, when I changed the rear diffuser, with no issues whatsoever. BTW, the Parking Assist module (#76) is 5QA919298A. Did u do a scan to see wat error is being thrown up? Did the dealer do a scan before and after? Did they clear the error codes after "fixing" the sensors? If there is an error with one of the sensors, the scan will tell u exactly what the issue is. This is an example:- "B107612 - Left rear park assist sensors Short circuit to B+ Intermittent" On the rear diffuser there r 6x PDC sensors, identified as follows:- - Left rear parking aid - Left rear park assist - Left rear centre park assist - Right rear centre park assist - Right rear park assist - Right rear parking aid
  2. yes, the facelift headlights r wider, hence they go up to the grille now, whereas on the pre-facelift, there was the bumper trim in between. as for the inside crystal honeycomb looking thingy - it doesn't do anything. tis just for show.
  3. I notice the pre-facelift is missing the foglight cover thingy on the right side.
  4. Version B has eyelash DRLs, and uses the green retainer ring for the D3S bulb. Version A doesn't have eyelash DRLs and uses the springs to retain the D3S bulb. The green retainers r a royal pain to remove. I found the spring mounted version much much easier to use.
  5. That's incorrect - there is no seperate bulbs. ur car has Bi-Xenon headlights, which means a single xenon bulb, in this case D3S, for both low and high beams. It uses a shutter to switch between the two. U can change the D3S bulbs for something brighter, like Osram or Phillips. Make sure it's aimed correctly - the lights on mk3 Superb r good. Don't change the ballast. I have Phillips xTremeVision Gen2 D3S bulbs in mine. Below is a vid of them in action. https://youtu.be/h4MRMKYGTTY?si=zmYmaYQ48C2Fiebs
  6. Large drop!?!? If u have DCC, the drop is only 20-25mm. If don't, then the drop is 30-35mm. Anything more that 40mm is starting to get "large drop" and will affect other suspension components. This is mine on Eibach Pro-kit Springs.
  7. Earlier MIB3 units in the facelift Superbs did not have wireless Android Auto. They only had wireless CarPlay. Unfortunately I don't know the associated part numbers.
  8. i had issues with my (MY17) memory seats in 2019 - they (Skoda Service Centre) ended up replacing the seat controller module as the software update didn't fix the issue. it has been good ever since. Old: SW: 5Q0 959 760 B / 0021 HW: 5Q0 959 760 B / H08 New: SW: 5Q0 959 760 C / 0024 HW: 5Q0 959 760 C / H09
  9. I disagree - the Bi-Xenon lights on the mk3 Superb r great, provided they r correctly aimed. U can swap out the D3S xenon bulbs for better ones, but either way - it still needs to b aimed properly, just like other cars. I've got the Phillips xTremeVision Gen2 in mine.
  10. @chris1949 - u definitely have a pre-facelift, that was registered in 2020, not built in 2020. As already mentioned above - u can't adjust the high beam separately to the low beam because Bi-Xenon. That said, I have a pre-facelift Superb myself and the high beams r good. Here is a video of my high beams in action... https://youtu.be/v3BgUfsupkM?si=OyWtyZkNmWSTLdAU
  11. +1 to remove the A-pillar trim and run the dashcam wiring along the existing wiring loom. It is easy to tuck it under the A-pillar trim and just run it down to the side of the glovebox fuse panel, but that will likely fowl the curtain airbags from deploying properly. The A-pillar trim is a pain in the behind to get back in but it's the proper method. This is mine, in the process of cable tieing the dashcam wiring to the existing wiring loom next to the windscreen, away from the airbag (white).
  12. @chris1949 - post a pic of the front of ur car, that will clarify things. In 2020 Skoda was rolling out the Facelift Superb out of its production lines. Here is pic of the two. Top is facelift, thinner headlights, thinner fogs and wider grille. Bottom is pre-facelift.
  13. Pretty sure the 2020 Superb doesn't have Bi-Xenons, and has LEDs. The pre-facelift used Bi-Xenons.
  14. The rear parking sensors r located on the lower diffuser section. U can easily remove this bit alone without removing the entire rear bumper. It's got 4x torx screws underneath, and then clips across the top, and either end.
  15. Have u done the mirror position store procedure? It's all there in the manual. Putting it in L or R, or Reverse will do nothing unless u've performed the initial procedure. Once it's set, then just leave sure ur mirror toggle switch to the passenger one, so each time u put the car in reverse, the mirror will drop.
  16. @komoornik - oh, that's interesting. maybe u got the "non-chip shortage version" of the Canton system. or maybe it was just the iV Superb that has the dumbed down Canton System?
  17. U need to b within 3m of the car for KESSY.
  18. That's because they changed the Canton system with the facelift Superb. If I remember correctly, there is also no longer a large Sub in the left side of the boot. A shame they went backwards with the facelift Superb. In fact they went backwards on a few things.
  19. @dimushor - have a read of my TPMS retrofit discussion, hopefully u can follow the coding steps, and U can resolve the issue. As for ur traffic sign recognition and navigation not working - can't help u there. With regards to uploading the TPMS parameter set, this can only b done via VCP or ODIS. U can't use "car scanner pro", or VCDS or OBDeleven. That would explain why u have an error. When u do such retrofits u need to b exactly sure of the changes u make, and use the correct methods/tools. U say u followed the instructions in the links, yet u have no idea of wat u did!?!?! If ur not sure or confident, u need to get someone who does know wat they're doing, otherwise u get into situations like this.
  20. assuming u bought a TPMS that wasn't preloaded with a dataset, how did u upload the dataset yourself? why did u reverse the changes? if anything that would make it worse if the TPMS hardware is still installed/connected. if i were u, i would take it back to the "service man" and tell them to fix the things they have broken. if the TPMS was installed and coded correctly, it shouldn't cause the issues u r seeing.
  21. That's good news, and thanks for ur prompt response @ApertureS If I do go ahead with the VC upgrade, I will also swap out the MIB2 unit for a MIB2.5 unit. That being the case, I believe a MOST Cable and Splitter will b required too. Now I just need to figure out the correct part numbers for the 9.2" screen, the MIB2.5 unit, the VC + surround trim, MOST Cable and Splitter.
  22. @ApertureS, @langers2k - I'm considering my options about doing a VC upgrade on Gandalf (MY17 Superb 220). I currently have a MIB2 Columbus unit, with Canton. However a couple of questions before I contemplate going down this path, hence seeking your advice/thoughts. 1. I recently changed my steering wheel to a flat-bottomed version, 309458999AQF-AA (DSG, non-heated). It doesn't have the VIEW button. Instead of replacing the whole steering wheel to one with, can I replace just the buttons, to the version with the button - specifically 3V0 919 719 F? 2. My current Gateway is:- 3Q0907530AA / 5366 (Software); 3Q0907530C / 515 (Hardware) It was recently upgraded (flashed) when I had the DCC mod done. This meet requirements? 3. My current 5F Infotainment is:- 3V0035045D / 1433 (Software); 3V0035045 / H50 (Hardware) This meet requirements? 4. My current 09 Central Electrics is:- 5Q0937084CG / 0236 (Software); 5Q0937084CG / H34 (Hardware) This meet requirements? Thanks in advance.
  23. The wing mirrors on my MY17 Superb open when the car is unlocked, not on ignition.
  24. @WanderingDutch - there r multiple versions of "Columbus". Wat is critical is the MIB unit. Sounds like u have MIB3 unit, which was introduced with the facelift Superbs. U'll find most the people with issues have the MIB3 (Columbus) unit. U'll also find it's not just Android Auto issues, but broader infotainment issues. The issues r also found in other models such as the Octavia, Kodiaq etc. etc. with the same MIB3 Columbus unit. Those with MIB2 (Columbus) or MIB2.5 (Columbus) do not have issues with Android Auto, usually. If they do, it's cable or phone related. It is also important to realise that only MIB3 units r capable of wireless Android Auto and CarPlay, built-in. The MIB2/2.5 units can only do wired Android Auto and CarPlay. However adding a dongle such as AAWireless, Motorola MA1, OttoCast etc. etc. will allow wireless connectivity. I have been using AAWireless with my MIB2 Columbus unit for many years now with no issues with connectivity or quality.
