  1. The rear cross traffic alert and lane change assist uses the same BSM radar sensors hidden inside the rear bumper. These r completely different sensors to the Parking PDC sensors. Likely an issue with the master sensor module (J769). Actual sensor.....
  2. The issue is that they "rinse & repeat" the same App change across multiple models across the VW, Seat, Audi and Skoda range. It is not specific to the Superb. Hence there will b some Apps that make other unknown "black box" changes that can adverse side effects, which can b difficult to reverse or remove. Not saying all Apps cause issues, but it's just not worth the risk, especially when some of them cost 100 credits to apply. Which will also require the same amount of credits to undo, with no guarantees ur car will b restored to its previous state.
  3. MY21 is facelift. Facelift has skinnier headlights and skinny foglights, and uses LEDs. I think they started rolling out from MY20 onwards. Top = facelift Bottom = pre-facelift
  4. I personally would never use the One Touch Apps - way more risky and hard to undo when something goes wrong.
  5. +1 to wat @numskull said above. my front assist won't brake immediately, but if don't react with a couple of seconds, it will hit the brakes. my rear cross traffic alert on the other hand is trigger happy and will hit the brakes if a bird flies anywhere in the rear radar vicinity!!
  6. @numskull - if u can fabricate a flap opening in ur wheel arch liner - that would b ideal long term. here is wat they look like when removed. this is the view behind the headlight, with the wheel arch liner removed.
  7. @Bap33 - agreed. it is not ideal, but compared to prices at other places, for a version F, it is a win.
  8. I upgraded the factory xenon bulbs to Phillips xTremeVision Gen2 back in 2019. They're great n still going strong. I've got some vision of it here, from a yr ago....
  9. @Bap33 - i don't know wat the conversion rates r for u, but i bought my version F (5Q0907643F) from ECS Tuning, in America for $57USD. Genuine Volkswagen Audi - 5Q0907643F - SENSOR (5Q0 907 643 F) (ecstuning.com)
  10. Agreed - on the outside it looks like a facelift of the current mk3 facelift!! I am however excited/keen on the following:- - DCC Pro/Plus. It uses two valves per shock, for better response rates. - New Smart Dials - New Interior dash, although the screen is a bit too big and potentially obstructs the view looking out.
  11. SLA = Smart Light Assist. It's Skoda's Gen 1 version of matrix lighting, but using special rollers and shutters to mask/bend/shape the high beam, whilst using Xenons. There r two types of Bi-Xenon headlights in the pre-facelift:- 1. Version A is non-SLA. It can do AFS and High Beam Assist (HBA). 2. Version B is SLA. It can do AFS and SLA. Physically u can tell the difference by looking at the part number on top of the headlight, the one that starts with 3V. If it ends in A, u have non-SLA. If it ends in B, u have SLA. Or turn on ur headlights (low beam) and see if the whiskers (7 thin strips inside the headlight) r illuminated. If they do - u have SLA. If they don't - non-SLA. The other way is to tell by the headlight start-up dance. If it makes a U-shaped beam during the sequence, it has SLA. The facelift Superb came with Matrix Lighting using LED tech, as is used by many other brands. The new mk4 Superb comes with an improved version of Matrix Lighting....so they say.
  12. @fencer - all good. i didn't remove the windscreen plastic cowl cover completely as i didn't want to remove the wiper arms. all i did was remove the rubber trim that goes across, and the black metal clips that hold it down to the engine bay. then i pried (pivoted) it upwards so i could access the strut top bolts. i didn't have to remove all 3 bolts on each side. just 2 out 3 bolts, per side, needs to b removed.
  13. U can't perform DCC recalibration on Bilstein shocks.
  14. I fitted a Hardrace front tower strut brace on my Superb a year and half ago now. It has improved turn in and the front end certainly feels more rigid/planted. It complements the Hardrace rear swaybar nicely, that I already had. Would recommend it, and it's easy to install.
  15. tis been 2 plus weeks now and so far no AQS Intermittent errors that i used to get prior. i went from D to F and there was no SW update required. everything continues to work as it should. the only thing i don't have is Air Care. I didn't have it prior - i did try enabling it a while ago, but pressing the "Active" button does nothing.
  16. @dmus9230 - as already mentioned by the others above, sounds like u haven't powered the TPMS module with a permanent source. Also looks like it hasn't been parameterized.
  17. @Berta178 , @Gabrielem I made a how-to document to update the firmware. alternatively, I highly recommend going to MIB-Helper.com - VAG Infotainment System toolset it is very helpful in detailed with step by step instructions. Firmware Update Guide v1.0.pdf
  18. the ACC radar is not prone to water ingress - it can withstand that stuff. the ACC radar however is on very precise brackets, that hold it in precise location, hence any slight knock/deviation, and the ACC radar will b unhappy. recalibration is not an easy task either. u can access the ACC radar without removing the bumper. u need to pop the radar cover off though. to do that, open the bonnet, and u'll see two pop plastic rivets above the radar cover, take these out. then using a flat screwdriver or similar too, carefully push/pop out the cover. below is a pic of the ACC radar itself......exposed. just ignore the Open / Closed / arrows.
  19. My AAWireless dongle doesn't get disconnected by bringing up the built-in satnav. I have an MIB2 unit though, one with buttons. If I have an active map guidance via Android Auto (AA), and I select to navigate via built-in satnav, then guidance stops on the AA. Likewise, if I have active map guidance on the built-in satnav, and I select to navigate via AA, then guidance stops on the satnav. Either way, no disconnections whatsoever though.
  20. It is not recommended to put a 235 wide tyre on a 7" wide rim. In addition, u'll end up with different rolling diameter. A few of us have put a full size tyre in the Superb.
  21. my understanding is that the PDC sensors r disabled when the trailer socket is connected. i don't know if it disables the interior boot open button. would make sense that it does disable it, but u never know.
  22. @D402 - u can get genuine replacements from Kopacek, however don't forget to order the chrome piece too as it is a separate part. The sell for approx. 13 to 20 euro each grille piece, plus 40 euro for the chrome piece. Yeah, ridiculous about the tiny thin piece of chrome costing so much!!! There r two versions, one for the normal non-AWD, and one for AWD version, which requires additional cooling, hence more holes. - 3V08536669B9 - left grille (without holes) - 3V0853665A9B9 - left grille (with holes)
  23. 1. Around 2019 I believe. 2. The 2.0TSi r chain driven, pre-facelift or facelift. 3. Yup, same engine, but different software to differentiate power outputs. 4. The following Petrol options were available:- - 1.4 L CZDA, CZEA I4 turbo (2015–2018) - 1.5 L DADA, DPCA I4 turbo (2018–2021) - 1.8 L CJSA, CJSC I4 turbo (2015–2018) - 2.0 L CHHB, DKZA I4 turbo
  24. True that - with current fuel prices, it hurts putting in 70-73L of 98 Ron each time I fill up. At least I average 800km between fill ups, and only needing to do this just once a month.
  25. True, but I was referring to the 19-Gateway module, where the parameters r modified. The Parameter file can't b modified by VCDS or OBDEleven. Needs ODIS or VCP. My 09-Central Electrics module is the same - no Long Coding either. 09 Central Electrics System description: BCM MQBAB H Software number: 5Q0937084CG Software version: 0236 Hardware number: 5Q0937084CG Hardware version: H34 Serial number: 02001706702006 ODX name: EV_BCMMQB ODX version: 017001 Long coding: 000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000
