  1. It's behind it but it's all one assembly for security, you need to drill out the shear bolts to remove it and fit a new one.
  2. You need a new MAF so start there, also replace the CTS, it might be a coincidence that you lost power with the cold weather but I doubt it, if it's still bad replace the fuel temperature sensor in the fuel filter assembly.
  3. Not having a working alarm is a blessing in disguise, you don't have to put up with false alarms. No-one is gonna nick it anyway.
  4. A car as light as the Elise doesn't need bigger tyres any more than the Fabia does, big fat German cars need big fat tyres.
  5. The Elise had 15's shod with 195/50/15, I know because I have a pair of track day tyres from an Elise on the back of my Fabia, nice and sticky and good for cocking a wheel.
  6. They are rebuildable although I can't imagine how you would pop a seal unless you had an accident and hit the kerb really hard in which case a burst strut would be the least of your problems.
  7. Just replace the solenoid and all will be well, I need to do this as well but the starter is so inaccessible that I'll probably just pay the garage to replace the entire motor because I can't get it high enough in the air. Mine has been like it for six years so it's not urgent.
  8. Nope, it's nonsense, just buy whatevers best value when you need to change it. I prefer fully synthetic but I'm not precious and I'll use semi if it's a lot cheaper. There will be brand fairies along shortly to tell you how important it is but they lack the proper technical education.
  9. The bigger the wheel and tyre in the spare wheel well the better, it's part of the rear crumple zone and adds a lot of strength in the event of a hard rear impact.
  10. That's true, although your problem is more likely the voltage regulator than the rectumfrier.
  11. Are you going to "rebuild" the calipers without replacing the seal and the dust bellows then? The dust bellows normally fits into a register on the piston and hooks round the caliper body, I can see you've removed it from the piston, you just need to get if off the body, trouble is they usually perish and stick so you need to be more determined and have a new one to replace it.
  12. Remove the dust bellows first and it should become obvious...
  13. It's a frost warning because the outside temperature is below five degrees.
  14. Hundreds of times, ignore the bickering if you can, I know it's irritating. Your problem sounds intractable, you've already changed everything that could be at fault.
  15. The airbox flap is stuck, keep cycling it from full cold to full hot to try and unstick it, mine was like this after the boiling summer we had.
  16. If you wanna wait a week or two for it to arrive, not OE quality either.
  17. Yes it can be faulty, it's quite common in fact.
  18. Yes, Elegance is the top trim spec.
  19. It's probably the most reliable engine in the Fabia 2 looks like you got a top trim spec. to go with it. Congrats.
  20. Is there a question lurking in here somewhere? I can't seem to find one.
  21. Can't quite see the number plate properly, but it's not British, unless it's Eire then the chances of them being able to speak English well enough to post on here are possibly limited. Still, I can see you're excited so let's see if anyone steps forward...
  22. I would suggest it's the alternator rather than the battery which is suspect.
  23. Question: who cares, it was FIVE years ago. @YELLOWFABIA, remove the silly things and see if your indicators start working again!
  24. Getting the old downpipe and cat off will be nearly impossible, you might manage it over a pit if you can't rent a lift.
