  1. Well that manual is soooo helpful 😂
  2. The service book is on the Skoda dealer network and you only get the small handbook. The full handbook is Available online from the Skoda website
  3. I think it refers to them continuing while driving, like the Nav updates. I set them going when stationary then I can turn the car off and go indoors or drive off and it continues till completed.
  4. Well you’ve got nothing to lose. Good luck
  5. I did indeed. I believe the yeti in question is red. I think there are possibly two founder members as this one is a lady. My first was also a 2009, a 110SE 4WD. I had another 2 after that and was looking forward to no 3. Sadly the Karoq didn’t meet my needs due to the sloping rear end so ended up trading up to a Kodiaq, a very nice car but I don’t have the connection with it as I did with the Yeti.
  6. I quite like the look of it. Definitely worth a serious look next year when mine comes up for change. Im looking forward to seeing that bronze couloir in the flesh.
  7. My iPhone is the first one in the list, and was paired first. SWMBO has an android. Whenever we are both in the car, the Columbus always picks her phone. Annoying! Is there any way I can make it always select my phone as default? TIA
  8. Mine is just as dirty most of the time! I find the extra weight helps it shut a bit quicker in the rain. 😂 One of the penalties for living in rural Norfolk I guess. He’ll need two buckets to avoid swirl marks in the paint. 😂 Seriously, glad you got it sorted.
  9. I don’t understand why anyone would want to use standard CC if they have ACC. I have ACC on my Kodiaq and SWMBO has standard CC on her Octavia. She is constantly forgetting this, and has had some surprises when switching back to her car, and no, she’s not a typical woman driver. She drives like a man.
  10. Is there any debris that has fallen into the lock cavity stopping the latch engaging properly? Push the sprung cover down to check. Is there debris in the bottom boot seal?
  11. I waited 14 months for my current car, finally delivered in August 2020
  12. Now that’s a shame, I will replace the current one with another, but a hybrid option would be a great replacement.
  13. I fitted these… http://www.kopacek.com/Skoda/KODIAQ/Kodiaq-MEGA-POWER-LED-cargo-trunk-light-KI-R They come as a direct replacement and I’ve never had an issue with them.
  14. Have you considered an X Trail? I know nothing about them apart from the size though.
  15. I might just do that. Just tried to create a route on the portal. What a complete PITA and not what I need. Thanks for the suggestion though.
  16. Is there a way of uploading a route designed in Basecamp or other PC software please? I am planning a trip away soon and would prefer to use the infotainment rather than my old Garmin. TIA
  17. There is always the auto zoom function that zooms in for junctions and out for longer distances between directions. Tap the zoom icon on screen and the slider appears. On the right of the slider are the zoom + and - magnifying glass icons. To the right is the auto zoom one. That seems to work for me.
  18. I took the sim out to use in the iPad as it has more data on it. Its taken a fortnight for the red globe to turn white again after I put it back in the car. It happened when I did the same before nd no amount of fiddling would get it back to white, it just did it on its own. Not so simply clever.
  19. I believe it’s normal. All my Yetis had it and the Kodiaq is the same. If you can’t bear to look at it, then a quick coat of brake caliper paint will sort it.
  20. thanks for the FAT32 and exFAT explanation. Maybe I was misunderstood regarding the map upload. What I meant is that the update continued even though the system switched off after the 30 min timeout and completed the update without having to go back to the car several times.
  21. I updated the map on the bear yesterday using the download from the portal. The instructions say to format the SD card to exFAT so I did and it worked first time. IIRC, they also say to leave the ignition on. I tried it by leaving the ignition off and just turning the infotainment on, starting the update and locking the car and walking away. The infotainment switches itself off after about 30 mins but the update continues, which is nice.
  22. Your point is? I can’t figure out if you agree with my new driving style or not.
  23. Living in Norfolk, it’s seems the vast majority are doing the same. In major urban areas I can understand others apparent frustration but in the country, folks don’t seem to care. Must be something to do with the slower pace of life.
  24. Due to the price of petrol recently, I’ve been trying to be good and the results are quite pleasing. Reducing speeds from 75 on dual carriageways and motorways to 65, national speed limits to 50, my mpg has gone up from low 30’s to mid 40’s which means almost 500 miles to a tank rather than a miserable 360 I was getting. Happy with that.
  25. Ours is a 2012 and has the standard wheels. They are 18” as the pic below.
