Driver's door motor for your car should be 6Y2959802A, with the bottom line of the label saying SK258D4DLS. I think you possibly will find 6Y2959802 and VW240DDLS instead. The direction swap could be fixed on what you have, but it will never operate the rear windows. If you could find a non-working 6Y2959802A with either SK258D4DLS or SK250D4DLS (from Fabia mk2), I know a place in Finland who could repair it. All of the above part number info is for LHD cars only, to avoid confusion amongst UK readers. Also only for Roomsters built up to 04/11/2007.

You do have a LIN window motor system. Can you message me the VIN, so I can check exact part numbers for you? It sounds like the driver's door window motor may have been replaced with one from a Polo, with only front electric windows. I think that might account for the reversal of up/down and lack of activity at rears. VCDS can see none of the system as there is no data connection to anything central.

No, for RHD 41 is 2nd from right, where there is a blue 15A fuse.

But 41? You said in your first post that you'd looked there, but I think that was before you realised that LHD/RHD diagrams were different.

You could take the coin cell out of the fob, and the alarm horn out of the car.

That one will be a 6R0959801M, next generation, not compatible, I believe. Same for anything built after mid-2010.

VCDS Lite, which is the freeware version you can download from ross-tech.com, will work on your car for reading/clearing fault codes. All you need is a laptop with USB port and a cheap (<£20) FTDI/KKL cable to connect it to the diagnostic port.

Have put something in that thread you linked, showing the position in Fabia/Roomster/Polo of that era. Can't find the photos yet to fix it properly. I doubt that Felicia is anything similar, but I just don't know.

Instrument cluster lighting is controlled by CAN messaging from either the J519 module, or directly from the dimmer control switch, as far as I remember. I suspect you'd need that control thumb-wheel thing wired in however it is in the car. I know nothing about changing odometer readings.

Can't find the pics to reinstate them just now, but this thread has images of the drain location (8* in first image, close-up of it next to heater matrix pipes in second diagram) on a LHD Roomster, which will be same as Fabia and Polo, of similar age. RHD cars have it on the other, right side of the heater matrix hoses. Note that from the factory, the drain is covered over by the fabric of the firewall sound insulation. There are perforations in the fabric around the resulting 'bump' enabling access with minimal destruction.

Straight down from cylinder 4 intake ports. Quite unpleasant to access.

@aaaaplay makes a good point above about the interpretation of the instruction, particularly the word 'otherwise'.

The hole just in front of the filler, at the bottom, is a drain, not a vent. There are other pipes coming up to that area, including one to the vent valve, which is opened/closed as the cap is screwed in, by the button-like thing on the right side, which you can accidentally or deliberately press when filling. It is supposed to be actuated by the cap being screwed in. Hard to imagine how any -except the drain pipe - could get blocked. The vent valve could stick, I guess? Look at diagrams of the tank on parts sites such as https://www.lllparts.co.uk/catalogs/ to see representations of the pipework. Diesels won't have the carbon canister or associated pipe(s).

Have you correctly identified fuse position 41, @EHeath? Bottom row of full size blade fuses, 2nd from right?

The suffix G or J might well work on cars with only two/front electric windows, but obviously an F or H won't do all four on a car that has them.

Yes, you could possibly swap the right-angled connector part and straight part between original and replacement, if the loom won't reach, or the door card doesn't have the clearance behind it. They come off quite easily. I think they'd be interchangeable, can't find a straight one to try at the moment. I'm not sure what the QR code might tell you, try decoding it and see what it says?

For a mk2 Fabia (or Roomster) for any problem of door-mounted electrics, the first thing to investigate should always be the wiring in the rubber boot between A-pillar and door, both sides. Only after ruling out broken wires should you look at any other component. There is also a fuse, #11, that should be checked, in addition to the two more obvious ones.

Google images helps. 6Q2959802A is an earlier CAN-based variant with 3 separate connectors. -F and -H are both LIN-based, single 16-way connector types for cars with front electric windows only, but one connector is at a different angle to the other. Depending on loom length and clearance/space behind the door card, these might be interchangeable. Suffix -G and -J are for cars with all four windows electric, again with different angles of the 16-way connectors. Best to buy a perfectly matching part number.

Check the two wires that go to the compressor at a brown plug/socket pair on a bracket near the starter motor. You may find one of them broken, possibly. Are you sure the compressor pulley is actually turning the shaft?

As long as the flap isn't stuck in the recirculation position, this really isn't worth attempting to repair. You have a 1.2 HTP engine, no TSIs in mk1 Fabias from factory.

Yes, that's what I'm trying to guide you towards looking for. Just look for such a break, you won't find it online. If the passenger side unit doesn't get communication within those 10 mins from being powered up, it shuts down again. If it does get chatting to the driver's side one, it stays awake for as long as the driver's side one is awake. Which is whenever ignition is on (and for 10 mins after it is turned off, or until a door is opened, whichever comes first).

Same applies with the grey/white wire, just comes from the 16-way connector at each motor. Look in the boots at the A-pillars for broken wires, both sides.
