  1. Can also be dirty and/or corroded connections at any point. Green copper corrosion residue can be the clue to look for.
  2. The £400 quoted was pre-VAT apparently, which ties in closely with what you see here.
  3. Sure to be available still, I'd think. Ping me your VIN in a PM and I can look up part number and price if you like.
  4. I looked at parts catalogue, and for the fronts there are different part numbers for vRS vs non. Rears same though. Some strong gaffa tape on the inside surface will probably work as a repair
  5. It's fused at 20 Amps, probably, no harm will come from plugging in anything 'normal' charger-wise.
  6. If you wish to know its exact build date (might be close to some of the changeover dates in the files), I can look up for you if you let me know the VIN.
  7. @ArtisticlyFunny what year is your Citigo? Have you clicked on the above links to download the files?
  8. @RoddersUK gave you the solution. Just do it.
  9. I give up. If you cut it and it's the wrong one, you can always rejoin it!
  10. Go here and find the relevant diagrams and so part numbers https://www.lllparts.co.uk/catalogs/skoda/CZ/FAB/225/2
  11. Probably the module, not the switches, but see if the switches light up if the car's lights are switched on. That tests for unbroken earth connection to switch pack, if they do illuminate, very unlikely that both switches failed at same time. Message me with the VIN if you'd like me to check part number of motor module, without any door disassembly.
  12. Try operating the windows by turning the key in driver's side door lock and holding it fully turned. (Start with locked car). Doors should all unlock and if you keep key fully turned, windows should start lowering together. That effectively bypasses the switches to test the motor itself.
  13. 260 x 12mm is the disc size for 1KF on Octy2 2008. Pads to suit have genuine part number 1K0698451G. Look at images of those and see if they match what you currently have fitted to the car.
  14. Just chuck that part number into ebay and you'll have a big choice of price and delivery speeds.
  15. Item 15 here: Car Parts Catalog - LLLParts ABS ring is part of wheel bearing, no idea how many 'teeth' it has (magnetic patches as I understand it), but there's only one part number: 6Q0598611, where are you looking?
  16. Welcome to Briskoda. Good choice of car. Spent a very happy summer near Beziers a long time ago, teaching windsurfing on the beach.
  17. There's actually another pair of VW specs visible on erWin if you make a login and then click on the Approved oils link on the homepage. VW 508 88, and VW509 99. There are currently 19 oils showing as approved to these, all SAE 5W-40. I know nothing more about them nor the reason they exist; but to set off speculation, the genuine VW one is called 'maxi performance'. Perhaps they've taken note of what George has been telling us? Go to a Skoda parts counter and ask, maybe? Doubt they're cheap.
  18. Check the OSR (and the fronts come to that), not unheard of for things to be noted down wrongly.
  19. https://www.briskoda.net/forums/topic/404143-radiator-fan-repair-courtesy-of-vortex-here-and-uk-mkiv-forum/
  20. The fan is twin speed, and the low speed function has failed. Common fault. Can be repairable with a large external resistor wired in, or more straightforwardly by fitting a new fan.
