Any would be fine, the differences can be small.

502 00 oil specification is 5w40 ?
If you want more than life than fixed servicing you'll need 504 00 spec though. create a login on erWin Skoda and you can freely download all the latest oil info. See hyperlink list bottom right erWin Online | Škoda Auto | (skoda-auto.cz)

502 00 oil specification is 5w40 ?
There are a variety of Castrol oils approved to 502 00, in various SAE grades: 5W40, 5W30, 0W30 and 0W40. Take your pick.

Power Steering Pipes
The return hose is still available new, if that helps at all? Volkswagen / Seat / Skoda Return Hose 6Q2423891F - LLLParts The same place seems to be offering the other one too, albeit at twice the price 6Q2423893H - LLLParts I wouldn't be super-confident of them actually being able to get the latter, cos ETKA says dropped without replacement on 1st Feb 2022. Could be old stock in warehouses though.

Fabia Mk 2 - Blower fan - not working
There's a thermal fuse within the resistor pack, the pinked bit here, but top speed (4) should still work with that blown. In fact, the resistor pack can be completely removed and top speed should still work, assuming it's still wired the same way as back in the days of the mk1.

Lane assist is dangerous
Immediate threat may have been a better description of what I was meaning.

Lane assist is dangerous
Strat/stop is actually more useful in relation to urban NOx and particulate pollution, short-term threats to human health, rather than the CO2/climate related reduction which is a side benefit, and not huge.

Fabia MK1 ABS Pump - Where to buy recon or new?
Be aware that the window motors changed (incompatibly) at the time of the Mk1 facelift (mid-2004, I think) so not all 2nd hand regs with motor would suit your car. Pre-facelift the motor part number begins with 6Q, post-facelift with 6Y. As said, better to get a new reg and swap your motor over. May even be worth fitting a new lock module while the reg is off, if thought to be the factory original. I wouldn't bother if panel was bolted, but rivetted ones are such a faff it's certainly worth thinking about.

Fuel filter - which one?
Good time to bump this thread. For the second time in not many months I've come across petrol Fabias with faults that appear to be related to the wrong pressure regulator/fuel filter fitted. One car should have had a 4 bar rated one but had had 3 bar fitted (2007 BME-code 3-cylinder 1.2 engine) and today's the other way round; designed for 3-bar but 4-bar fitted, a 2007 BBZ 1.4/16 valve. Unfortunately, the PR code that tells you which your car should have may not appear on the data sticker on the boot floor. You can get your full car data pdf free from a cooperative dealership parts counter person, via erWin Skoda for a small fee , via an Italian ebay seller for only 3 Euros (VIN decoder that will show factory options Audi VW Seat Skoda | eBay) or from anyone with a VIN-filtering parts catalogue. Ask me nicely by private message and that includes me. If the list includes the PR code 1A1, you need a 3 bar filter, if it is 1A3 you should have 4 bar. Handily the pressure rating tends to be stamped rather visibly on the rear end of the thing, just under the sill in front of right rear wheel. Don't rely on ECP etc. to necessarily find the correct one for your car by reg plate number look-up.

Fabia MK1 ABS Pump - Where to buy recon or new?
Are you anywhere near Oxfordshire, UK?

Inspecting repairing front bumper support and securing front bumper to the bumper support rail.
A seller using the name vagbolts on eBay has always given great service in my experience. Limited selection of commonly reqd items though. 'Refreshing' sounds a bit cosmetic, can't you just turn a blind eye?

Timing chain
It's several hours of work to remove and replace the chain cover, so not going to get adjusted unless by a wildly bored retired mechanic, and TBH they wouldn't have a car with one of these engines.
-
Timing chain
The tensioner on the HTPs doesn't even have any sort of ratchet mechanism, just a spring to do the job before oil pressure builds at start-up.
-
Timing chain
Nice idea.

1.5tsi ACT cambelt change interval revision?
I dunno. I reckon this is probably a gain for them. Instead of needing skilled techs spending many hours tied up doing complex cambelts they'll have more space and time for less skilled ones to be fitting questionably necessary brake discs and pads. Much better margins.

Drive the car a few metres and the warnings will magically disappear.

Fabia MK1 ABS Pump - Where to buy recon or new?
Part number of a genuine VW-group one is N 104 249 02. There ought to be one available at any group dealership I would hope. Near-faintworthy £6.63 + VAT each currently though! 😮 Yes, exactly.

Halfords sell correct fitting ones, if that's any help?

Indicators off Fabia Mk1
Nothing to do with the control unit that supplies the indicators. Not sure what it means on your car to be honest. In my hazy head this morning the EGR valve on a 1.9 diesel Fabia is vacuum driven, not electric. Might refer to one of the vacuum control solenoids I guess, but that is a complete guess. Or a spurious code. Know anyone with VCDS?
