  1. This, I expect; but fitted by fitters, not engineers.
  2. Do yourself a favour @J.R. and add him to your ignore list. 🙂
  3. See image above ^ Unplug connector(s) from it to stop the fan powering up non-stop.
  4. Control module mounted here if you have aircon. It may look slightly different to this image, as there are two versions, other one just has a single electrical connector facing the back of the car.
  5. Does the car have aircon, or not?
  6. Pin 1 at crank sensor connector - yellow/blue wire - comes from engine ECU pin 25 (+5V) Pin 2 at crank sensor connector - yellow/purple wire - comes from engine ECU pin 52 (Signal output) Pin 3 at crank sensor connector - brown/red wire - comes from engine ECU pin 53 (0V) With ignition on, I think you should be able to measure 5V between pins 1 and 3 of the sensor connector. If you do see that, it proves 2 of the wires are intact.
  7. ^ I think it was a crank sensor. A Diagnose Dan YouTube video, I think. I'll look up the wiring info this evening if I get a chance.
  8. I'd roll the dice at that ratio I think. Fill it up every time you can squeeze another 5 litres in.
  9. Was the wiring to the crank sensor checked through?
  10. 36mm socket for oil filter cap. 6mm hex key for sump plug. 🙂
  11. Behind it under the aluminum cover on that end of the engine. No need to think any more about it. Your odometer is saying 172131km covered. Engine should be OK for quite a few more. EGR valve may be close to end of life if factory original (quite likely not).
  12. Have you perhaps had a new battery recently? If so, the voltage may be staying higher, so not triggering a voltage droop cutout on the camera?
  13. As far as I can see, the socket has always been permanently live, unless someone has modified it since leaving factory.
  14. If you go here, click Download this file, then pick the last option that appears it is the official word on all Fabia servicing. MK1 Fabia workshop manuals - SKODA Fabia - BRISKODA "Fabia Inspection and Maintenance.pdf"
  15. Depends what you consider expensive. This would do you for a shade over £30 delivered: Audi/VW VAG approved Quantum Platinum Plus Oil - 5 Litres 5w 40 5w-40 505 spec | eBay rated to 505 00 and 505 01.
  16. So for the next change pick one where you can see one or both. May be written 505.01, 507.00, or with spaces instead of the dots. 505 01, 507 00. Nothing else matters.
  17. I've only ever tried it with microsoft browsers, so I can't help, sorry.
  18. Hello Kate and welcome. 🙂 Which engine type has the car got?
  19. Take one off and look at the part number that's probably on the back?
  20. Keener lawyers over there.
  21. It's a mk2 anyway, not a mk1, and really you want to be posting in the classifieds if you're trying to sell. For the electric window(s), probably a 50/50 between wiring damage in the door bellows or motor module failure with it being an early mk2.
