  1. The most I have put in mine is 47ltr, and usually fill up (always first click) when ther would be a good 5ltr left in the tank based on the range that is left - 50-70 miles or 80-110Km (why, in the UK, do we drive in miles and buy fuel in Litres? Crazy!!) Based on that, it must be a 50ltr tank plus the pipe to the filler cap; maybe the 55ltr tank, but I doubt it. Mine is a 1.5TSI EVO 150bhp manual gearbox.
  2. Does anyone know if we can use voice control (Laura) to report road conditions with this? And if so, any idea what the key words are?
  3. Welcome to your new car. Hope you enjoy it… Wireless CarPlay should work fine, it was designed to be that way. When I set up mine I didn’t bother with the Bluetooth connection first, rather went in to the Smartlink menu and selected CarPlay option (as opposed to Android Auto or Mirrorlink). The car then enabled the connections and I just followed the prompts. hope that helps!
  4. Absolutely. Driving in a straight line, steady speed (ACC assisted) - but [seemingly] heading straight towards a parked car! I can understand the simple logic of the car - but that, I think, is the issue all [semi-]autonomous vehicles will face. Simple logic doesn’t work in the real world, which is way to nuanced.
  5. I’ve experienced this a couple times and on each occasion it has been when I haven’t been providing any direct input. The first, and most obvious, occasion was when trundling along a dead straight road at 30mph with the ACC engaged approaching a parked car on my side, but with another car parked just short of it on the other side of the road. In effect I had a slalom gate to go through, perfectly OK at 30mph in my mind but the car obviously thought I was going to drive into the one parked on my side. It could be that your car is seeing a parked car in a similar way. Perhaps try tweaking the steering a little, or lift the throttle a touch just before the car thanks you’re in range. If the car detects you’re doing something then it might realise you’re in control and let you get on with it.
  6. My car does not have the Matrix headlights, rather standard LED lights - and the dipped headlight pattern is definitely NOT flat. Back in March '21 when I bought it, and in the vain hope of a European road trip last summer I contacted the manufacturers of Eurolites about compatibility. I was assured that their adapters are compatible with the standard LEDs, and the latest instructions and info are on their website. Personally I would never travel in France without adapting the headlights, not only is it respectful of other drivers to do so, it would be far too complicated should I be stopped...
  7. Mine is similar - except it is mostly the Drivers side light that comes on and off. This during the daytime as well as at night (which is when I notice it). A couple of evenings ago, manoeuvring out of a tight parking place each time I engaged reverse gear and the interior light came on; select 1st and it went off. First time I’ve noticed that, usually its totally random. Haven’t booked mine in yet, am interested to hear how it goes @Coume.
  8. Don’t need to, use Siri to make the call. EDIT: just realised you’re in Slovenia, and you mentioned earlier that voice recognition isn’t great for you guys. Sorry.
  9. Yeah, that seems a lot of money to not have to flick the stalk - nice to have, but not at that price! I declined it too.
  10. AIUI, no it won’t. The traffic info in the Satnav is part of the Infotainment Online.
  11. Sorry folks, I didn't get that quite right. Lock with the key then touch the sensor to deactivate KESSY temporarily.
  12. Or, with full KESSY tap the lock indent twice. Need to press the key button to unlock.
  13. The updates are about monthly; and AIUI, the 1st year is free then an annual subscription. In 8000 miles across England, Wales & Scotland I haven’t yet found a road not in the SatNav.
  14. Just a thought - check that all of the vents are open
  15. Don't be so harsh. A quick look on WeBuyAnyCar to see what they'd offer me for mine - £1k less than I paid for it 10 months and 7000 miles ago. On the topic of compensation, I'm quite happy with what they agreed for me. And before anyone asks, I don't believe it right for me to share the detail of what it was, so I won't. Suffice to say that I started the firm but polite discussion at what turned out to be about 1/2 way in to the 5 months my car was off the road.
  16. Yeah, I was wondering what else was out there. The Civic Type R I guess - but, IMHO, it's hideous!
  17. If you haven't already, I'd urge you to take a drive in a Mk4, if not a vRS, then a TSi150. in my opinion, the Mk4 is a much nicer place to be than the Mk3, and look far better too. Mine is a 1st Edition and had the trial KPH/MPH fix applied back in September '21. It is genuinely a lovely car to drive and the few remaining niggles are just that, niggles. In 12 months time I am sure those will have been sorted too. Go for the Mk4.
  18. I'm curious too. Planning a European road trip for later in the year and want ACC etc. working appropriately. Perhaps an excuse for a short break - assuming France/Covid-19 restrictions allow...
  19. This will get the conspiracy theorists going - mine messed up at about 5:25pm yesterday.
  20. @LenWalton - interesting that your ACC had a 'moment' the other day. Mine did yesterday, suddenly deciding that it would slow down for one car in the lane to my left after about 25 miles of perfect behaviour, and followed by a further 100+miles of perfect behaviour. Seemingly a momentary lapse 😉 This was the first occurrence of the ACC problem since early Sept '21 when I picked up the car after the KPH/MPH fix was applied. If your car thought Sussex was France, then mine must have thought Newport, South Wales was in fact Nieuwpoort, Belgium 🙂
  21. Yep, what @Kenny R said - or a USB-C to USB-A adapter (with a 90° angle) and use the cable that comes with the dash cam.
  22. Looks like you have the DSG gearbox; what happens if you put it in S mode? This should make the gear change at higher RPM as well as display the selected gear (e.g. S1, S2, …, S7) Could also try using the DSG paddles to do a manual gear shift, might help determine at which (if any) gear change the noise occurs.
  23. Worth noting that the USB-C socket near the mirror is only powered when the ignition is on, which may (or may not) be what you want/need for the dashcam if you want it for when parked, for example. I know some (all?) NextBase have a battery but I've no idea how long they last. I'm quite happy with my 522GW plugged in by the mirror, and use the cable that came with it (tucked behind the mirror) plus a 90° USB-C --> USB-A adapter.
  24. That doesn’t save either! I use Individual mode and have to select it every time I start the engine.
  25. The functionality of KESSY depends on the model. My SEL FE gives keyless lock/unlock (walk up to it and grab the handle to unlock) as well as keyless starting of the engine. The loan SE FE I had for a few months only had keyless starting, to lock/unlock was a press of the fob button. I’ve heard the difference described as ‘Fully KESSY’ and ‘Half KESSY’ but no doubt the marketeers will be changing the terminology at regular intervals just to keep us on our toes 🙄 The range for the keyless lock/unlock is really quite short. I haven’t measured it but reckon it is less than 1 metre. Like you, at first I was concerned about the car being parked on the drive outside and the key fob being located overnight not very far away. A few tests soon allayed those worries. I’ve no idea if the fob turns itself off or not, sorry.
