Nice reading all of your messages, but I have some questions which I can not find answers to. So I hope You can help me.

I want to buy a W2-D780S, but i am wundering is it the same as W2-D720V, only with red light and a vw ind the display?

And I want to have some screens on my headrests to, but I wonder if I can use the unit for Navi in front and my children can see dvd in the back alt the same time? And finally can I connect a witson dvb-t tuner to the unit?

Can you plug the factory fit 6 CD autochanger straight in to the back of the Witson unit? :confused:

It looks like it has an 8 pin Din socket but not sure if that is what is on the Stream radio.

Any advice would be great.

Can anyone suggest any Navigation software for the Witson unit.

If you have the system running what did you install and where did you buy it? There seems to be conflicting posts about what works.

My unit is arriving soon and I would like to get the software ready.

The ebay seller did suggest IGO 8 and it seems to be really good.

I'm still waiting for my Witson unit and I didn't tested yet.

But I think will it arrive within this week.:P

Today first time, I tried to install my device to my car. Exactly it is plug and play unit. But I got some problem. Firstly cd function didn't work on my device. Whenever I put the any cd in it, it first tested but never made it worked. Bluetooth also works but, the caller said to me he didn't hear my voice without my mouth put the device's mic. I think needs to take out and put the mic on any open area. Radio also works fine and for now not tried any function.

My english not good but if anyone asks to me how I install the device, I will try to explain.

isoma, did you already take contact with the Witson assistance about the cd/dvd player? I hope there is an hidden solution for it.

I already heard in this post about the microphone and someone replaced it with another one with better quality.

Radio takes good signal? And about the TV? did you tried the signal?

I konw they are not the best looking,but it does seem to be a great piece of kit, and as I understand will interface with the maxidot display.

Got the Car! got the witson, just need the plastic facia and aerial booster/adapter now, then i'm ready to have a go fitting :confused:.

I installed my unit - and must say that i am more than happy. FM reception is fantastic - i use only the factory antenna....DVD playback i super...iGo8 is running in 3D mode perfect...Sound is really nice - quality is very good...

I became happy that you installed your device on your car. I installed too. But I have some problem with it. I place cd in it. The device is trying to take it but never successes. May be my english not good. So I dont understand very well the user manual. Can you explain how you make it worked. Which side of cd or DVD is up. And are there any procedures to play DVD, CD etc to take care. Can you help me.

Or do I have got any problem DVD, CD features.

Hi Isoma - Did you unscrew the two bolts ????

There are two screw bolts on the top, which are by default screwed....and they keep the mechanic and the reading head stable during the transportation (delivery). if you want to use a CD or DVD you should unscrew them and you will not have any problems...

If you don't find them - i will make a photo and will post it here....

I couldn't find any information on this device's Maxidot display compatability. I don't think it will work. It needs a CAN-bus connection and Pioneer is not supporting it.

Only OEM radios and navigation systems interact with Maxidot. Sorry.

I received my Witson unit W2-D782S!

b0gdi, I post some photos for you and someone is interested to.

End of next week I should receive my Octy and I will give you more details about the functions.

What I already seen from the manual is that the main software is different from what I seen fom other people. Another difference from the W2-D780S is the double sd card reader for for gps software and one for multimedia's. The phisical construction is very nice.

It it true that this Witson unit will connect to most i-pods

but it won't charge the newer generation ones ?

Correct, it wont charge an Ipod touch, plays it ok though. The interface for the ipod looks like an '80s BBC computer screen or a commodore vic 20, bit w@nk but its useable.
