Since my last post hadn't so much success I repeat my question about ID3 TAG in other way...

Do someone knows whether this Witson unit reads title, author, album, from usb port and playlists for ipod?

The witson does read id tags ie shows names of songs/albums etc not sure on playlists never tried. When reading from usb stick the song name and album appears but there are only so many characters it can display so it might not show them all.

Yeah, I got my product in 24 days. From Liverpool, Delivered to my friend's home (London). Because of that I'm living in other country, I couldn't get the item yet. My friends will bring it to me. I think the seller has some problems with the import. But he has good cominication.

Whoever get the same item, I will have a few questions, esspecially about new fascia replacement for octavia II climatronic dash is needed or not.

The same situation with me, I ordered it (paid it) 10 days ago and today after asking the guy told me that he still waits for import from China and he said, that "If your item arrives i will send it to you". I am very worried about this IF, then i asked him what happens if this "IF" happens to NO, he said - you should wait from 14 to 20 days.....So i will wait, and let's see what is going to happen.

Does anybody have pictures of the BOX, how it looks, how is the item packed, what is in the box, or to write just an explanation about everything...the box, packing, what is in.....

The same for me.

I wrote last 13th August and he replied that he is waiting for some units from China and it they should been delivered in 10 days.

Then he will immediately dispatch to me (and to all people that are waiting for).

Since the shipping costs are expensive I imagine that delivery time from e.s. global are in 2 days for International deliveries.

I will let you know as asoon as I receive it and I will post photo and details.

If only these guys did a Skoda branded unit.

For my point of view this unit is produced by the same Witson factory.

Richierich32, please note that this CarDVDKit unit is produced in China end reselled by another European vendor... like in ebay.

Dunno mate, looks different tho..

Would like to get an upgrade for the car as I have a 4 x 75 (RMS) Pheonix Gold amp and 12" JL sub just gathering dust as the stream doesn't have a pre out.

Even though I'm 34 next week I miss my BASS

OK, here is my problem with the Witson unit. The Radio reception is really bad, whereas the reception in my old stream HU was perfect on every station. The only diffrerence I can see if that the aerial plugged directly into the back of the stream unit, secured by a clip and on the Witson, it plugs into another lead (black) with a silver prong on the end, which gets pushed inside the rear of the box.

Living in Windsor, I get Radio 1, Radio 4 and Capital FM (with a few clicks, pops and it fades in and out). Other than that, including AM stations, I get NOTHING.

Is this likely to be the fitment or the location of the cables behind the Witson?

The stream unit will have powered the aerial amplifier down the coax, I would not think that the witson unit is doing this. You may also need an external aerial amp to get the radio working correctly.

I guess it is all dependent on budget of course, but as you already have the OEM bluetooth, you might as well not loose it and go for the Columbus... Well that is my thinking anyway.

The only drawback is that the GPS itself isn't great - well not as good as the iGO for instance...

As you know, one of my friend living in London got the product on behalf of me. I hope he will bring it to me next week. As soon as I get the item I will send to you all necessary information and pictures.

Did you receive a letter like me, which says that the guy is sent the item ??? Do you have an idea how long it will take to receive the item - because i am from Germany and think 5-6 days will be necessary for my package to arrive.

The guy also said that if i give him 5 stars and a positive feedback - he will make a discount of 20.00 GBP for my next order .... Do you have the same offer ? :-)

Here is the actual position of it - yesterday it was in Liverpool and now is in Birmigham - where it starts the international journey Or just i think so....i am not familiar with the tracking and the delivering termins.

Is that aerial amp the same as the one you need on the fabia when you change the sterio? If it is where is that blue wire coming from the silver amp supposed to go. Is it for power?

On that pic, the blue connector on the right is for the connection to the car antenna which for the octy2 has a fakra connector on it, as opposed to the fabia which has a standard iso connection, so going left to right we have.

HU, booster (with small wire out to the left that connects to a switched 12v supply). and the adaptor to connect to the octy2 aerial.
