Here is my attempt at a loading screen. Pretty simple

loading.jpg

Image needs to be converted to bmp and then

Make a backup of the branding.zip file within your IGO folder

Unzip branding.zip

Enter the ui_igo8 folder

Rename the folder 480_272 to 480_234

Open the renamed folder 480_234

Replace loading.bmp with new file

And that should do the trick

Just wondered there were any firmware differences to the VW unit I have and the Skoda unit wonderbadger has?

Does the unit continue the ipod from the last song if you say turn the car off or recieve a phone call as mine resets (really bugs me).

I also had a look the other night into modding the microphone as the included one is too far away for anyone to hear you without shouting. Anyway if you undo the four screws which fix the front panel you can remove it and see the microphone has 2 wires fitted to the board. Should be a simply unsolder and solder of 2 new wires to install either a jack or a new mic.

would be nice to be able to run a mike like the ones we have i the OEM bluetooth into the light unit in the headlining (thats if they're compaible). Wonder if you can order that mic with the wire as a part?

So with all these units people are getting, do they have that awful beep sound with every button and screen icon you touch.

The newer units dont beep the factory upgraded the firmware.

I had heard this had started to happen...just sometimes takes the supplier a while to run out of old stock. Wonder if they improved anything else.

The few vids I saw on youtube of those beeps would drive me nuts.....well nutier.

T1000, unfortunately I don't have an Ipod so I havn't installed the cable and have no way to know how it behaves. From reading the other forums it sounds like the manufacturers are a little reluctent to produce firmware upgrades so I would think it's likely that they have just used the same one as the VW one...

I like!!!

Can i borrow that when i get mine up and running?

Edit: Please :o

Hi, i'm new to this Forum, and my English is not so good, so excuse me if you notice some mistakes.

I have a question. I own a Skoda Octavia New Elegance, which came with a normal Skoda Stream and i am interested in buying this WITSON device. I noticed that the size and the shape of my original Stram are not the same as the WITSON ones. I saw that the frame which you used is different my one, so i have the following question. Where can i find and buy such a frame, because i really want to buy the All In One Witson device.

Thanks in advance to all who will answer :-)

You can buy them from your skoda dealer. Is the frame you have fitted now black?

Yes, the frame i now have is black. And do you have an information how much will be this frame ? What exactly is the model number with which i can order such a frame ?

Thanks again :)

Ok thanks, i just went to the shop wchich is located near my home and i ordered the second. The guy looked in ETKA and he didn't see any difference in the two part numbers - the price was absolutely the same. So tomorrow i will take it from the shop and the only thing i have to do is to order and buy the NAV system :)

Thanks for the help :)

Mine just missed the damage - collecting on Friday all being well

hmm I thought the surround part numbers were different depending on if you had a cup holder or not. SUre it's mentioned earlier in this thread.....

It is not the cupholder, but on the LHD cars it is the telephone holder that makes a difference in the surround. (and in price).

aha - I knew it was a holder of sorts ;-)

I was thinking of fitting the pioneer double din unit but where do you get the fascia replacement for the stream once the unit is fitted

AVIC-F500BT Pioneer Navigation - GPS system - Navigation

Your friendly skoda dealer can sell you a kit which includes all the required wiring, the double din holder and the outer facia and IIRC the price is very reasonable.

Autoleads also do a facia adaptor, but the quality and appearence is not very OEM unlike the official kit.

It isn't actually a head-unit... the F700BT is though
