Hi All,

Firstly a very big thank you to ALL who helped out in anyway, you know who you are, some did over and beyond what they signed up for - Thanks.

Next a big thank you to ALL who made the big effort to actually commit and turn up, I was overwhelmed by the response. The event whilst organized by Colin & I was a success by everyones participation. It was for you. - thanks

We must also thank the S.O.G.B club for joining us and bringing along many of the older models produced by Skoda.

We were very pleased that Skoda UK provided a range of cars for the day, transported them on two specialist carriers at 7.15am on a Sunday morning and collected them again in the evening such that the site was clear by 5.45pm - Thank you to Skoda Uk .

In addition the arrival of two of their latest model Yeti came as a complete surprise to everyone. I can assure you it was not planned nor were Colin and I aware of this.

It has generated a tremendous amount of comment both on the day and also on here.Again extended thanks to the Skoda UK Management for their support and initiative.

We must also thank our site partners who came along and supported us at the event and to the many others who provided very generously our prizes for the winners of the show & shine, best car etc. Also a big thanks to the various 'judges' {who were and are impartial} for applying their knowledge of the cars and the owners in asaweging any bruised egos! - Thanks guys.

We must also extend thanks to the Gaydon facilities and their handling and interest in us.I think we can categorically say that they are excellent and enjoyed by everyone.

Many have posted pics - they look stunning. Pictures of the winners, who actually stayed to the end will be up shortly. We should all appreciate the effort that they and everyone else who entered has put into preparing their cars (and engine bays)

Several have asked how many were there?

The figures are as follows.

Skoda marque cars 160+

This includes the Vintage Red Racer, Felicia, Superb 3.6 & fabia 1.4 estate provided by Skoda and the 2 Yeti's

Estimated number of members and family approaching 400 +

Some one commented that this could have been the largest gathering of Skoda cars in the UK! Maybe we can exceed this in any future event.

Finally from Colin & I thanks for supporting and making the Forum what it is - a nice friendly place for all.

Thank you

JohnD

I'd just like to add my thanks to John D and Col D, the Brisky moderating team, the site sponsors, the the volunteers, judges and marshalls on the day, and everyone else involved in putting on such a great event.

Full marks also to Skoda UK for their support, and to the management and staff of the Heritage Motor Museum for making us so welcome.

Finally, I think Mrs D deserves special mention for looking after the Briskoda shop. We had a chat with her late afternoon, and I understand John and Colin gave her a short lunch-break but kept her working hard for the rest of the day!

As ever, it was a pleasure to meet the usual mixture of old and new faces. We're looking forward to next year already!

On behalf of 'Mrs D' - Thank you.

After she had worked for the rest of the day, and help clear up she then drove Colin & I back up the motorways for 100 miles whilst we both slept! She had also driven us down in the morning as well. Finally stopped after cooking a nice meal for us in the evening!

Glad you all enjoyed yourselves.

We've suspected this all along.

Colin & John bask in all the glory but it's really MrsD that does ALL the work.

MrsD for Prime Minister!

Have to say she would do a better job than Gordo but then who couldn't (well Colin & I ):)

She says thanks and goes back to grouting the bathroom tiles!

Thanks to everyone that organised this, and everyone that turned up!

I had an absolute blast and really enjoyed meeting you all! This was my 1st ever meet of any kind :D

I'll be keeping my name badge as a souvenir! And fitting my Brisky plates as a sign of dedication to the forum that MUST have spawned the friendliest bunch of owners ever..... full stop!

Another round of applause from here as well. My first meet, I just enjoy a clean Skoda with a bit of Autoglym, not a techy but some of the detailing... well you are a different breed, loved seeing and admiring your efforts and look forward to seeing the pics well done.

Good to meet and greet you early arrivals and thanks to John for his help on the gate. Mangaged to get away about 1030 and found my daughter helping Mrs D (Florence) in the shop. . She is possibly a Fabia convert having fallen for the Sport in the showroom a couple of weeks ago. She really enjoyed the day and she is not easily pleased and certainly not a motorhead.

Although I have said enough I cannot post this without a special thanks to JohnD and ColinD who through obviously a great deal of toil and sweat and possibly tears produced a great day, at a great location with great company, and a big surprise to boot and of course Thanks Mrs D for your efforts on the day. Well its up to us all to top that next time. So until the next time,

Cheers and good health

An excellent day out. In fact the best Skoda event I've attended!

Hope it turns into an annual event between Briskoda, Skoda Owners Club, Skoda UK and all other Skoda clubs, forums, etc

Ah wow - loads to catch up on, on here... just got home.

Thanks everyone for making it a brilliant day! I have NEVER seen so many Skoda's in all my life! :D

Brilliant of Skoda UK to take part with all the cars that they brought - the Yeti's were instantly bombarded with crowds around them.

Anyone who couldn't make it - hope the piccies posted from the event went some way to show what a brill day it was? Great to meet so many people too who's Brisky names I see day in, day out - great to put a face to a name! Fantastic turnout, fantastic day... Brill! :) HUGE pat on the back to everyone!

THANKS!!!!! :)

The pic's and info about this meet has nearly made me cry:( As a no show to this meet due to a knee injury following my accident.

I am definately going to the next one  assuming i don't have to sell the fabia for an automatic "Crossed fingers" after friday's visit to the fracture clinic:(

Glad the weather held for you all and a big  to SUK for their participation:)

Will see you at some point in the future

Had a great day yesterday - well done to JohnD and ColinD and the brisky 'staff '- brill to see so many skoda's together.

Enjoyed listening to the guy with the blue mk2 Vrs estate telling us how he had got Mitsi Evo wheels to fit with very little mods  - some great ideas and details on show.

Big  to Skoda uk for sending the Yeti's - the guys who brought them over were a credit to SUK, letting everyone prod and poke the cars, very enthusiastic, knowledgeable and even demoing synchronised seat moving and removal for us !!!

excellent day - thanks loads.
