  • Popped to the garage at lunchtime to swap coolant temp sensor. I don't think it's the problem but it can't hurt. Going to swap O2 sensor later for the spare I have. Went well, all sorted in 5 mins. T

Swapped it for a seat leon cupra :)

Diesel non "r" version?

drove the Yeti 220 miles to Berkshire to collect some big Brembo brakes off Clive at CNTuning, then drove it 220 miles back again.

Nothing beats a carparts roadtrip! :D

What economy do you get from the Yeti on a run like that?

A bit off topic since I did it yesterday ... ;-) ... but I gave it a good and thorough hand wash, a couple of weeks since the last one but it didn't look too bad until I started, then I realized how bad it was ... Silver metallic is a good color since it hide a lot of dirt, kind of ...

.

Fitted my new black grill, Didn't even break any of the old clips 5mm socket worked a treat so thank you for the advice on that.

Took it in to the dealers for it's mudflaps, £90 all round, not bad compared to VW Jetta ones at £128, and now I'll never have to wash the car again.

Went to my local Dealer Here in Bielefeld to See how much an Anthracite Gemini is, needless to Say i wont be bothering to get One as a spare 368 euros OUCH !! That's before whacking on a tyre!! Went home and consoled myself with cleaning the interior and giving the windows a clean.

Had two tyres replaced due to punctures this morning. One had a screw in it, other had a cut in sidewall.

Also found out in the process that tyre wear was uneven so had tracking and alignment checked - toe in and out needed adjusting.

Jars, the 20v 1.8t. Diesel was far too boring for me ;).

Today I bought a set of Koni FSD dampers for my car. I also bought, with some apprehension, a free flow replacment air filter. Tomorrow I shall buy Brembo front discs. I should get a life while I am shopping also....

Attempted to remove a long scratch for the bonnet. Only found it yesterday and have no idea how it has occured. Good old  T-Cut removed the bulk of it apart from the deepest part.

Polished off with Dodo Basic of Bling detailer for now until the car is washed.

Now has 3 scratches and 2 stone chips in 38000 miles.

Picked up her new bonnet, wings, front panel and AC compressor off to the Booth to get high on fumes! LOL

Bought it!

Washed it then put a coat of Collinite 476S wax on - doesn't seem to last as long this time of year. Still, for the time being at least it's clean and shiny.

Washed the mk2 then tried out my new sonax speed detailer

Fitted .216 nozzles and changed my dogbone mount for oem/powerflex hybrid.

Gave him a clean and fitted rear mud flaps :)

FTFY :p

Re-checked the wheel bolt torque having switched to winters last weekend.  All okay, so no alzheimers here just yet.

Also power washed it, but only to get the worst off, not a full clean by any means.

Is that the Brilliant Shine one?  Either way, how was it?

Yeah that's the one,was easy enough to use and does give my car that just waxed look just waiting for it to rain now to see how well it beads.

Beading is epic!!

FTFY :p

Washed and hoovered both, as they were both in need of a good clean, just got to polish the exhaust tips on mine tomorrow, it was getting dark by the time I'd finished!
