Also had a slow puncture fixed on my rear drivers side tyre, turns out it was the valve and just needed a new one.

My cupra r splitter arrived today so will give that a go this weekend.

  • Popped to the garage at lunchtime to swap coolant temp sensor. I don't think it's the problem but it can't hurt. Going to swap O2 sensor later for the spare I have. Went well, all sorted in 5 mins. T

That's the thing with this weather! Barely any time to fit anything!

I've got an LCR splitter ready to fit too.

This was actually all yesterday but anyway.....

Had a new set of boots (Hankook k110 Ventus evo's) fitted..... Just!!!! (One of the locking nuts sheared off so tyre place just managed to get it off after much banging with big hammers). So also had to purchase a new set of locking wheel nuts from them whilst there...

Then whilst washing the car afterwards the front vRS badge fell off the grille so re-attached/glued that to grill.

Then to cap it all off took the green cotton filter out to clean it before finding i can't find the Green oil so seeing as i think i've had my moneys worth out of it over the last 6 years or so i've gone back to OEM and fitted a new Bosch paper filter from EuroCarParts.

What a day!!!!

Cheers

Dave.

Loaded it up with Lupo front wheels, then went to Demon Tweeks (a proper man shop!) to get some new tyres for the boy, we had a very spirited drive to DT with the brakes stinking and fuel economy poor on our arrival, then new tyres on wheels, another spirited drive home and fitted the wheels back onto the Lupo.

After dinner we went to Ikea to collect some flat pack furniture, seats out and load it up, back home and now building said flat furniture.

Yeti, got to be the most versatile car in the world.........................maybe

Washed, decontaminated and clayed my car today,  Only an hour or so job. :)   But in the next month I want to (weather permitting) treat her to a full machine polish again.  She deserves it!

Hopefully I'll be giving my Monte Tech a machine polish next month too. My first ever time using a DA too!

Much prefer the vRS, surprisingly....

Eewww!

I don't even recognise it, but wouldn't be at all surprised if was of Fr3nch origin. It looks bland enough.

Pug 208 EGC which is the crappest gearbox I've ever had the misfortune to come across.

Which is funny because their TV adverts would have you believe the Pug driving experience is akin to driving a Caterham!

Washed and cleaned mine too - just managed a top up on the C2v3 but have now run out

Fitted heko wind deflectors and washed the Rapid - took her out for some pictures afterwards too lol

washed it for the first time since November, it came sort of clean but had loads of tar spots, so another application of TFR and left it to soak for a while, then back at it with a sponge to remove spots, washed off and all is clean now..

Bought her some bits a pieces and started the ball rolling on her treat B)

Bought a new vRS 09 plate on Saturday.

Bought some new Goodyear Eagle F1 tyres to get rid of the budget crap on ATM!

Booked into skoda for headlamp condensation issue (should be covered under warranty?).

Treated the leather on the backseat.

Got in it, started it, de-iced it and drove it to work.

Put my round internal Briskoda sticker in the front screen.

Washed it,then had alovely drive over the Ridgeway in Wiltshire.

Enjoying the sunny afternoon and of course my immaculate vRS purring along ,smashing drive as always.

Got rid of the ice from the inside of the back window.
