  • Popped to the garage at lunchtime to swap coolant temp sensor. I don't think it's the problem but it can't hurt. Going to swap O2 sensor later for the spare I have. Went well, all sorted in 5 mins. T

Wish i could say the same about my deer stu :p

Its not the first time I've hit a seagull but last time it was in a works hilux and it didn't even make it off the ground. It went straight under the front drivers side wheel and the ABS went mad as it was smeared along the road under the wheel. I saw that as a victory since it was one less to **** on my car and it made its mate mateless so that there was one less nest of them. If I hadn't braked then I would have gotten its mate as well (I was very tempted but resisted the urge)

Washed 007, then it rained!!

But if you hadnt braked you wouldnt of got the satisfaction of smearing it like it does all over your car :D. So it was a win win haha. Cant really smear a deer. Well not with a fabia :P

I think you'd still struggle to smear a deer even with 2.5 tons of hilux :giggle:

Only a quick vacuum to get rid of the mud from mountain biking n Thursday. Changed the throttle linkage on the Lotus though, it drives like a totally different car now, can't believe the difference it has made,

Nothing exciting, just a good wash down, jet washed underside and inside arches and then hoovered out the two front footwells.

timing belt, water pump, coolant change, full service, adjust handbrake, picked it up last night and then spent today in the pouring rain doing that work, i am glad to be done haha

Photographed its sh***y exterior for a thread on here.

Traded it in for another Octavia vRS :-)

Give it a quick wash at the petrol station before putting my headunit in then most importantly the briskoda stickers in the rear windows

Gave it a wash, taxed an registered for a year with a "clean" pass. Only got told to change the headlight bulbs cause apparently the narva ones inside are not road legal. Still happy :D

Tried to wash it, but the new pressure washer I bought only lasted for 3 seconds before breaking  :wall:

Went to dundee headlight hunting. Grudge paying 110 pound from skoda :o. And stu i have seen quite a smeared deer on the dular. At least i think it was a deer :S lol

sorted out the boot lock. Things not been opening on the fob or with the boot realease button on the boot above the number plate for a while.

Remove boot trim, undo the three M8 spline bolts, remove and unplug the lock, gently scrape off the corrosion on the three contact pins, WD40 (made from fush oil ;) ) a bit in the the plug, wipe dry and refit. Boot opens first time every time now :)

Got the front suspension bushes replaced.

Quite suprised at how much more feeling it's given the steering and also MUCH smoother going over the road bumps

Cleaned the Fabia as it was horribly dirty!

Also added a new Briskoda sticker.

Jumbo box fitted

Replaced a blown fog lamp bulb. It's only been used a handful of times as a fog light, but clearly the cornering fog function takes its toll.

Gave it over £74 of Shell's finest - the most expensive fill-up I've done.

Drove it over the 19,000 miles mark, having had it 18 months (and a day).

Replaced engine and gearbox. :)

Wrote a long 'to do' list :(

Reached 137,000 miles. Tomorrow it will be used to revive my housemate's Passat VR5.

Fitted new wheels :)
