What did you do to your Skoda today?

Featured Replies

I'd put in writing to the company running the car park personally.

Yep, sad to miss it - but unfortunately I've ended up several hundred miles away....

  • Popped to the garage at lunchtime to swap coolant temp sensor. I don't think it's the problem but it can't hurt. Going to swap O2 sensor later for the spare I have. Went well, all sorted in 5 mins. T

Machine polished Chrisrs daughters 10 plate new to her Ibiza, not too bad but better after fettled with, looked so good had to do mine again afterwords, would have loaded some pics but cannot find the lead that connects the phone to the computer

I agree although I don't think this car park has been open for very long so it should have been thought about.

Yep you would have thought so - unfortunately in my experience a lot of these things are designed by Architects rather than Engineers and the former tend to just use standard sizing details and layouts rather than actually 'designing' and using prper swept path analysis.

Had a 4wheel alignment done, then vacced the car out, cleaned the dash/windows & trial fitted the new door inserts

Chrome on bottom of boot lid to hide damage from previous owner

Had the towbar serviced and glued the door pocket inserts in  & cleaned the dashboard and all the plastics

Over the last 2 days on the Octi vRS.....

Had the alloys refurbed by The Wheel Doctor yesterday B) Snowfoamed, washed, wiped polished with AG SRP, hoovered and cleaned the glass

I so wish I'd taken a picture of mine when I took the bath up the tip.......I made sure I fitted it on the roof with the slope facing forward - for aerodynamic reasons! :giggle:

Had Lynsey's car serviced today, had to hang on a bit as i had to wait for the Ferrari 512TR to be serviced 1st

Have to say Kelly is a top guy.

Looks like a good place Mike. Wish there were more places like that around really!

Washed it, And renewed the ARB bushes.

Now that was a PITA job!

Put 30 litres of Shell V-power into it.

200 yards down the road when it cut out, remembered I'd changed the Octavia 1.8T vRS for a diesel Superb.

Towed to garage, drained and refilled.

Paid £204 for tow, drain, tank full of DERV (£60), flush, prime and VAT

God help me if SWMBO finds out - I'll never live it down.

In my defense in 40 years of driving I've only owned an oil burner for 8 weeks and at 0730 on the way to work I'm not at my most compos mentis

Got a quote from my indi for the refurb of my turbo vanes, quote came to £320+VAT, which includes the labour (£180+VAT) and the refurb of the turbo vanes (£140+VAT)
