What did you do to your Skoda today?

Featured Replies

Took it back to Skoda, was quoted a price and gladly walked out the door, the price was a insult :thumbdown:

Did you really expect a fair price ?? lol

  • Popped to the garage at lunchtime to swap coolant temp sensor. I don't think it's the problem but it can't hurt. Going to swap O2 sensor later for the spare I have. Went well, all sorted in 5 mins. T

How come you're thinking of selling Davy?

And you must know the score by now - best price = private sale emoticon-0148-yes.gif

Need the money to possibly get a extension on the house, as the current conservatory is starting to fall apart and let in water, basically speaking it's never been looked after until after we moved in a year ago! and the 15 years it has been up with the neglect has taken it's toll on it and it's started to rot We tried to blame the surveyor who said that he was not at fault. So to fix it we're looking at least £10K!

So thats the reason why I popped into skoda yesterday, mind you I done a quote on we buy any car for a laugh and they offered me a grand more than skoda wanted!

Anyhow my plans for the Skoda today are to give it a wash as it's not been done in nearly three weeks.

Not to, More in.

Cracked 40K on he way home from work

Not mine, but helped Bezzy reseal his rear door carrier (again)

Took it for the MOT, passed with no issues. Although the tester pointed out the rear pads were getting a bit on the low side which I already knew.

Now to find the leaky hose that's causing the 17705 code.

Matt

Off for interim oil change and Darkside Developments EGR fitment shortly emoticon-0148-yes.gif

Did 2 things today..

Had a stone chip on the screen sorted very efficiently by Autoglass .

Removed that annoying 'plastic clip thing' from the drivers side screen and looks much better without!

so where do you put parking tickets now, you could have always moved it to the passenger side

Finished off my winter wheels and test drove them.

I do like those white ones. Especially on that green.

White and green work well. Good work emoticon-0103-cool.gif

How did it go Steve ?

Halfway there emoticon-0114-dull.gif

But.... as the lovely Allard pipe needs the boost pipe cut for fitment, I now need a new pipe in order to fit the correct Darkside kit. So have ordered that.

Aircon sorted and ice cold again, plus fresh oil - so I suppose that's something emoticon-0148-yes.gif

It's amazing how well a car responds to an oil + filter change

Yes indeed - in fine fettle on the way home, although it wasn't bad on the way there either TBH!

Oil's only been in there 6 months mind you, but required when running a hybrid :)

Probably very stupidly I let my kids (4 and 7) help wash two of the cars :S ... Not too fussed about the paintwork on the Fabia given it's 10 years old but I do worry about the Octavia. Fortunately they only managed to do the passenger side of both and I got them to concentrate on the wheels and windows and tried teaching them a wash mitt and two bucket method :giggle: I did the other side in the dark after they were asleep

Fitted a set of Philips 4000k 501 LEDs & a set of X-Treme vision H7. Done and dusted in less than 25 minsemoticon-0148-yes.gif

Got x4 Kumho KU39 tyres fitted  The ride is much more forgiving that the Michelin & Goodyear's not to mention much quieter :)
