Anyone who has ordered the Diesel before xmas, are lucky that at least theyre getting dates ( dependant on engine deliveries), anyone who orders this month is being discouraged & has has already been mentioned even Golf Diesels are in the same situation.

Having waited 23 weeks for mine , all I will say is 'dont cancel your order' the car is worth the wait ( for me it was)

Quick qestion: What's the longest anyone has waited for a Octy vRS?

Just have a look at the table on page one it is fully upto date and will give you a good idea of how long people are waiting.

Diesel DSG ordered on 4 October, originally given BW16, then changed to BW3 and then BW removed altogether. A new BW has not been issued yet!!!

Hi all anyone know the main reason for the horrendous delays to the diesel vrs or is it just pot luck when it gets built?

Seems from the table I have been doing it is pot luck, maybe might have something to do with extras ordered however this could not be managed correctly, to give a true reflection. I do feel however people who have got theres very quick that they have been orders the garage themselves have placed / canncelled orders and have just fell correctly.

i think u should b only b showing the "build week" under the "Build" column, not the collection date.

different countries have different shipping durations. for example u lads in uk might collect it 2-4 wks after its being built.

all the way i oz, it takes 10wks after its built!!

if u have it purely as build date, it will b an accurate reflection of manufacturing times based on specifications.

or even better, have both "Build Week" & "Collection Date"

just a suggestion.........

Understand what you have said, however surely it is better to go for from date ordered to date received, this is what matters. Take your point on board and if you want to run a topic for vrs orders 2011 feel free.

Strange did you have any optional extras. I ordered mid September and build week was 2 (never changed) and car arrived at dealers today. Have got to work out when i can pick it up now.... hopefully as soon as possible.

Spoke to two local dealers and Skoda CS this afternoon about leadtime on vRS TDI and i got the same answer of at least 6 month lead time if order placed today. Delay due to a part for the 170 engine so i expect VAG will be experiencing the same delays.

Oh well that puts a block on me ordering my new company car from Skoda, damn shame as the vRS is by far the best equipped car on my shortlist.

Got a phone call from my dealer yesterday, he told me the VRs CR I ordered 29/12/10 is showing on the system as the being with the dealer in April, although it has no build week.

The real confusing part came next, when he told me the VRs CR my brother ordered 6/11/10, with the same extras as me, has no build week allocated to it, after it was originally wk 6, then wk10.

Does anyone else think theyve got the two cars mixed up???? I have asked the dealer this, and he assures me its impossible to mix them up and can not account for the change in delivery details.

Alrite everyone, not sure if people are still updating this but i ordered my vrs on 29/12/2010. i rang up the dealership today

MSB SKODA, Darlington) and they gave me a build week of 14. Of course i am well aware that this could mean anything but at least

Ordered an octavia vrs, candy white, with maxidot, rear parking sensors and spare wheel. Can't wait!!!!

Not don't worry it is still being updatted its just that when I started this thread and people registered, most have now got there cars as you can see. Fingers crossed for you.

That is basically the same as mine but I have the Maxi dot as well.

yes in discussion with dealer, should have news by friday got my compo in motion. still rather have my car in march and not june.

Hopefully mine will be built on time!
