rSAP Bluetooth to HandsFree - Sucess!

Featured Replies

Works fine with SIM access turned off on my 2010 (with new module fitted) with a BB Torch 9800... so don't see why it's not compatible... unless Skoda have fitted you with the old, rSAP only module??

what's the part number? (as described page 1 of this thread)

Al.

The part number is the NEW one as listed earlier in the thread. Deep breath and start again I think. Frustrating in the extreme.

  • I fitted a 3C8 035 730 D to my 2010 Superb estate and it works perfectly.   It will connect in either handsfree or rsap and let you switch between them on the go or after you have connected in eithe

  • What box is fitted into your Octy? ...if it begins 5N0 and ends A, B or C it's rSAP only, but you should able to replace it with a D or a 3C8 module, with no coding required, giving you HFP and rSAP

Yep, something wrong that aint right here! - as you have both rSAP and HFP on your module, there should be no excuse for the BB to pair with SIM access disabled... have you tried deleting the profile on the car for the BB, dissabling SIM access on phone, and reconnecting?

Could it be something to do with running BES rather than BIS on the Blackberry? All the BB issues seem to arise from their Enterprise Service?

I have a SuperB 2012 model from june and VCDS detects this module 7P6 035 730 F I can't find any usefull info about this kit but I have a feeling this does not support rSAP anymore and only HFP.

Does anyone know that this is correct as I can't pair my Blackberry 8520 with rSAP.

Cracked it at last. And yes as many have said it is just a question of unpairing everything, making sure the Blackberry is in 'listening mode' and ensuring the Blackberry Bluetooth settings are correct in options. SAP turned off in options and handsfree ticked on. Now properly paired and all I need to do is click yes on the BB when it askes if I want to pair to SKODA BT...... Phew!

Hi UKcruiser im looking on Ebay for the 3C8035730A bluetooth module theres a few in Germany for £250 but there are a few other matches ending in either B or without a letter at the end for around £100. Do you or any other forum members know if these will be compatable to get my iphone working in my 2009 superb elegance or will it have to be the module ending in A. Thanks for the useful info :-)

How can you turn on rSAP on Samsung Galaxy S2?

On my HTC touch hd there is an option to turn on SAP. Is there something similar?

Thanks

What do i need on my Bolero to make phone work on player display?

I have just fitted a new Bluetooth module (3C8 035 730 B) to my 2009 Superb Elegance, I can now pair with my iPhone 4, but people I have called say they can't hear me very well, and that it's quite distorted. Anyone else noticed this?

Also, i have noticed in other people's images that they now have a battery indicator at the top right of the MaxiDot display, I only have a square symbol (Shown in the image below) Anyone got any ideas??

Hi,

I replaced the Nokia branded 3C80350730 (on RNS510) unit with one of the 5N0035730D... first time up pairing with my Samsung Galaxy SII worked great... RSAP and Audio link established, phone book transferred... Sadly when i return the vehicle it still pairs ok but the BT module keeps showing NO Network :-( If I completely delete the pairings on both sides and do it again it usually works fine again...

Anyone else had this problem.. is there a workaround. I don't want to have to pair them every time i get in the car...

it's a shame as the first test i did after installation worked brilliantly...

any advice appreciated

Did you save the pin from the simcard? (after you enter the phone's pin on the maxidot, don't press ok, but scroll to "save").

Did you save the pin from the simcard? (after you enter the phone's pin on the maxidot, don't press ok, but scroll to "save").

I will try doing it the other way... up to now i've been setting my phone to discoverable and then searching from the menus on the maxidot... and then entering the pin from the car into the phone. I will delete everything and try the other way around just to see if it's any more stable... like i say, the two seem to pair without issue but the BT unit never seems to show as being connected to the actual phone network... it does work... it did today after turning BT on and off on my phone... when they re-paired i got it working again... but then next time it pairs the BT unit in the car shows NO NETWORK...

oh well... will try the pairing in reverse and see if that helps... i was wondering if there was a f/w update for these D series units which may be worth applying..

thanks

Umm, had a play today... couldnt work out how to force pairing with the phone acting as the 'master' but found some other interesting things in the car menus under Phone -> Settings. There's an option activate alternative Remote Sim mode in there. If i flip this once the two are connected they drop connection and reconnect and hey presto it works.. but turn off and on again and we're back to being paired but with no network... run the 'use alternative remote sim mode' from the car options again and it works... strange. looks like some timing or coding issue on the SII from what i can see... the phone certainly shows NO NETWORK (circle with bar accross it) during the BT pairing process... if this changes back to signal bars _before_ the pairing completes and appears on the car MFD then all is fine... however if the two parties pair before this symbol disappears then it does not work as described previously... hopefully this will be fixed by Samsung at some point. I'll drop some postings on the S2 specialist forums to see if anyone else has seen this issue on VW BT modules... at least i have a workaround now...

< edit - still having problems - even flipping RSAP modes doesnt always work and often leaves the phone in 'no service' mode now necessitating a reboot - getting MDI fitted today so will ask them to uplift the f/w on the 510 as well to see if this helps - very frustrating >

UPDATE 2 - well after a lot a faffing about I realised the problem was with RSAP pairing... if I pair the handsets and give permissions with the phonebook but DENY access to the SIM it works fine! - basically using GSMII rather than RSAP for connections. This seems to work well... and pairs time after time.. so I guess the moral of the story is don't use RSAP - at least not on the S2 with my service provider!.. and it works. No text message support without RSAP but i'm not that worried about that!

problem solved.

BTW, have the same issue as the poster @ the top of the page... have signal meter on MFD but no battery level (just an underscore in my case)... is this f/w dependent? I'm running 2764 with 7.2 maps.

cheers.

I too am looking to upgrade my older GSMIII rSAP only bluetooth module. What about the 5K0035730D model number that is on ebay being sold by various vendors (e.g. item 330710122877)? These seem to be listed as being able to replace an rSAP only module with the additional functionality.

Just received my "D" variant BT module from an ebay seller in Czechoslovakia.

Installed in minutes and appears to work OK with my HTC 1X.

Sound only comes out of RHS speakers mono, so I suspect I need to swap out the wiring harnesses (supplied) to enjoy BT streaming in stereo.

Its getting dark now so I can't compare old & new harnesses for extra wires.

This has been covered on here before, search for bluetooth mono

Any idea what the micro USB connector on the "D" variant OEM BT module is for ?

Hidden under a little sliding door.

I'm guessing flash s/w updates.

Just fitted a 3C8 035 730 B bought on eBay.

Had a problem connecting my HTC One X. It would connect as a Media Player, but not as a phone - an error was displayed 'No Phone Connection'

Goy my old sRAP phone out (HTC HD2) and connected. This enables some more menu options and I went in to SETTINGS|PHONE|PHONE MODE| and changed this to Hands Free. VOILA! The HTC One X connected OK although I didn't get the SMS option on the Colombus (but then I wasn't expecting it after reading previous posts).

Happy Bunny!

I went in to SETTINGS|PHONE|PHONE MODE| and changed this to Hands Free. VOILA!

Thanks for this - I just tried the same with my Samsung Galaxy W and changing from Premium to HF fixed it. My problem was that on connection it would pop up a message on the phone asking for SIM access. Saying yes would lose the network and I had to say no every time. Now I don't get prompted and my phone connects :)

Hmmm! Tried my Voice Recognition feature tonight to navigate a route and found that I get 2 Voice Recognition tones (the da-da-da) - one after the other and then a single tone. More importantly, it doesn't matter which mode I am in on the Colombus, the Voice recognition only wants to try to command the phone. Any ideas anyone?
