today has been quite well.. Stressfull.

I go and get this done...

before the haters hate.. the fronts have a 30% tint on them which looks darker on the pics as the rest of them are limo. I had this same tint on my Bora and po po never had a problem with them.

my W8 stickers are on the inside of the window and my tinter said he can tint over them. Seems ill be repping the W8 till the tints come off or be replaced. I think it looks quite smart.

those of you that had tints before (which i have many times) will know, do not open your windows for a couple days as the tints still have a tiny bit of wet behind em. I see my missis on the way home and what did i do out of habbit? Pressed the bloddy button! folded a corner of my tint up and it will not stick back down so im going back tomorrow to get my window done again. Thankfully my tinter has a sense of humor and is doing it for free for me tomorrow. I got some gloss black vinyl to do the pillars which will finish it off.

Next, i go collect my new head unit from East london on the way back from the tinters in Chelmsford.

in the car..

installing this was a bit of a ball ache as the cage was different. the loom was slightly different too, and it has built in Parrot BT so i had to run a mic. i put the mic right at the top of the drivers side A pillar so was a bit fiddly running the worlds thinest most delicate wire!! lol

i thought i mite as well run power to my gauges whilst it was all off!

pic i took in my garage, Screen, dash and gauges.

Like the tints the fun dont end there. Went out the way to set up the stereo and i notice the tilt loading mech is a bit notchy on 1 side of the screen!! so.. on the way back from tints tomorrow, again im going east london! not good as this is a 85 mile ish round trip on the worst roads around here for traffic.

last thing.. before i washed my car i thought i would cheat. As im a detailer in my spare time and have not touched my car yet, i thought i would take it to the jaguar car wash down the road. get half way through it and it all stops... . car wash had broke down!! i literally had half a clean car! the arse end was filth and the front was shiny! i got my money back tho haha!

i hope tomorrow is better!

I have got my new head unit replaced and it all works as it should now. they begrudgingly replaced it mind.

got some new matts today tho win!

Time yes... money no.. Sold my bora so Spunked a bit on the octy. Aim is shabby looking, equipped, fast as fk, ha ha you just got cained by a skoda estate. When im bored with that ill sort the body work, slam it and put my dished 18`s on! lol

I'm assuming the wheels are the 16" spiders so 55 tyre profile?

How much was the head unit, if you don't mind telling? I want to put a proper system in the Superb but know nothing about that kind of stuff.

In regards to slamming it, i have had all my cars slammed for god knows how long so im enjoying the highness atm. I have my cream dished 18"s that looked good on it when i test fitted them a few weeks ago. i need 2 new tyres tho, and coilovers. i should have it done by the summer as long as i stopped being massed about with these jobs.

once all the small bits are done, ill get the paint work sorted once i decided if ill go chasing the "stance" again! im going to try not to but i think its in built into me! lol I think it would look good slammed and cambered on 18" dishes! lol

Head unit RRP 499 mate. theres a few places online that are doing deals on them as they was only released last week, i paid £350 The whole idea of me getting an estate was to fit a couple of orion hcca sound off subs. I have the ampage for them (4000 watt rms/ 8000watt peak) but loosing my job put pays to buying the subs.

Maybe by christmas ill have it looking nice with at least 1 Hcca. not cheap at £400 a pop with no box.

More decent progress

Looks very modern with the black pillars and tints. I wouldn't lower it if you're going for the sleeper look, and the handlings better at (or near) the standard ride height. I had mine 20mm down front and back, found that just right.

im gonna get on the LED thing tonight just for G lol Going to get all romantic with it as well.

1st. Foot well lights front and rear. *green*

2nd B and C pillar Ambient Up lights (i blame BMW for that 1) *white*

3rd Rear passenger Leds *white*

4th Led Boot lights as i cant get mine to work :( White LED strips

Plan is to have a dimming controller for all the LEDs except the Boot. Going to fit the FMIC at the weekend hopfully to as im going to my parent house so can chav me dads grinder. Shame i have not got the monies for the Map sensor pipe so i can fit it all. whilst the bumpers off ill fit splitter cam, and fit the senders for the gauges! bet it rains!

Thats a removed leg from the VW arm rest bracket as the skoda fag lighter gets in the way.

now the arm rest fits

it will be comming out again tomorrow so i can clean it. going to visit my local haberdashery as see if they can give me a cut off of black leather and i can match it to the seats. I will also be fitting a whit led in there so i can find what im looking for when i open it at night. haha!

Im going to make some little LED holders now and see where that goes.
