Funny enough i got tugged by a load of road side coppers tonight comming back from sainsburys as they was concerned about the front number plate. They mentioned the fact the lettering was too small and i should get it changed. tho they could read it as it was reflective. I have been told to address that within a couple weeks. if i get stopped for it again they will issue me with a fine and 3 points for obstruction. They went around the car and never said nothing about the tints. I know its "illegal" but i think the fact im not taking the **** with a mega dark tint they dont really care. Im insured taxed etc. I had the same tint on my bora and Audi so thats stretching about 5 years with no trouble. They really do look darker in the pics. My insurance company are aware im tinted up front as well.

i had the same tints on the front of mine got tugged for them made to take off and lucky nice copper let me off but did say normally 3 points etc etc etc

you do realise that if you crash and you insurance company inspect you car and there found to be illegal you technically have no insurance !!!!!

not a risk worth taking imo

the world would be a very boring place if we were the same mate. As i have said already, i never had problem in all the many car meets, tugs, even got caught drifting and the copper was finding all sorts to spank me for, never once have my tints been a problem. They look alot darker on the pic again as i have already mentioned as the rears are very dark.

In regards to my insurance. They have been told the percentage, as they have been told of the sticker on my bonnet. EVERYTHING i do to my car is declaiered. Granted they mite not pay out if somthing bad were to happen, But whos to say they will anyway. They will prob say i never declaired the stone chip on my wing so it imbalenced my flux capacitor creating turbulence to my offside, making my car unstable so thats why i crashed, therefor sir, your insurance is invalid! With the greatest of respect missingmyvrs... we all know the rules when it comes to our cars... Go troll on someone elses thread! lol :rofl:

lol trolling

i was mearly pointing out fact !!! as i got done myself.

your do what you wish its your car just saying :wall:

p.s i was just trying to help dont want you getting 3 points lol. im not trying to be boring done the whole mad modding of cars and driving like a tit etc etc and i can assure you i still do lol

im gonna get on the LED thing tonight just for G lol Going to get all romantic with it as well.

1st. Foot well lights front and rear. *green*

2nd B and C pillar Ambient Up lights (i blame BMW for that 1) *white*

3rd Rear passenger Leds *white*

4th Led Boot lights as i cant get mine to work :( White LED strips

Plan is to have a dimming controller for all the LEDs except the Boot. Going to fit the FMIC at the weekend hopfully to as im going to my parent house so can chav me dads grinder. Shame i have not got the monies for the Map sensor pipe so i can fit it all. whilst the bumpers off ill fit splitter cam, and fit the senders for the gauges! bet it rains!

Your gonna need to be sending me LEDs with a "how to" up to Scotland mate, loving the up lighter idea, used to work in BMW & wondered if this was a possisble retrofit..... I await your pics.

there supposed to be able to hold boost for longer according to the internweb. Nice knowing its not going to split everytime i give it some boooooooooost! I put the yellow spring in just now, in the words of Borat... it feels niiiiice!

I have all the spring and 3 metal spacers

Got the green in but no more tsch or nothing just looks better lol

Why didn't you go with CompBrake?

I looked at compbrake but for an extra £15 you'd be daft not to go forge!

  • Author

Jase... yeh the Green spring is for a standard car, Forge website say yellow for mapped cars.

Babs. I got a good deal on the 008 for another few quid. being the tart that i am i quite look of the 008 over the compbrake/007 Will see if they live up to the hype tomorrow.

Edit, Jase beat me to it. lol

You'll only notice a difference when its been remapped then you can put in the yellow spring and it'll hold the higher boost. On a standard car it just looks better and lasts longer than the Bosch valve. Mine was also a bit louder with the 007P and an uprated panel filter but only from in the cabin... it was no louder outside, good thing really otherwise it sounds like a chav wagon LOL

just finished my arm rest.. Had to pop out this eve so only just done it.

bit tricky to do and i wish i got some memory foam to re-do the foam. I may re do this with that some time soon.

removed the old VW cloth, and cut up a old micro fiber cloth to pad it out a bit.

IMAG0796.jpg

sandwiched it under the OEM foam

IMAG0797.jpg

IMAG0798.jpg

then started to stretch and staple it
