newbie.. south wales.. skoda felicia :)

Featured Replies

Hey everyone,

I'm Laura, from sunny south wales.. I own a Skoda Felicia T reg. 1.3 engine. It was a hand me down car that my Grandpa had from brand new back in 1999, it had only done 24,000 miles when I got it so apart from there being moss growing all over the car it was in pretty good shape :) - I'm not even kidding about the moss!!

I know the bare minimum about cars but I'm getting into it, I've been really into VW cars for a while.. but seen as I drive a skoda I thought it would be appropriate to show some skoda loving too.

Apart from having the driver door keyed, a few dents here and there (all before I had the car) and more recently the badge on the front stolen.. (grrr!!) I've not modified the car in any way.. until now as I've started to sketch up some art work to do some sharpie art on the body work.

I'll get photos up soon :)

Somebody stole a skoda badge :o

Welcome to Briskoda

Sharpie art on your motor is a brave move. You need to get it right or it can look absolutely terrible! :S

Somebody stole a skoda badge :o

It was vintage though :D

Haha yep!! exactly my reaction.. who steals skoda badges!! lol they didn't even steal it properly, lifted the domed bit and left behind the backing.. plebs!

and yeah I'm not gonna attack the car with sharpies until the sketches are looking perfect, starting with the fuel cap first to see how that goes. hoping it will look good though as I'm a professional graphic designer sooo it would be a little embarrassing if I couldn't pull it off!

welcome to briskoda any  plans for the felicia

thank you:) nothing impressive really! just getting the bodywork repaired and resprayed soon, bit of sharpie art planned for as soon as we get some nice weather. I was planning on keeping everything original.. and vintage ;) I even have the original tape deck still in the car lol but who knows, that's why I'm on here to get ideas and to see what everyone else has done with their skodas.

What's sharpie art? My missus is a graphic designer will have to ask her what its all about. My Felicia has some interesting body art but mainly thanks to various dents, gouges, keying and flaking paint :D It's a 12 year old car though, not meant to look nice LOL

welcome fellow south waleyun (if thats how it spelt haha), what part of south wales are you from? sharpie art sounds cool, i was thinking of doing my engine cover in something different like that.

Welcome onboard - 24,000 miles on a 1978 car, that's not bad going!

Is it your first car?

1978? lol 1999... still good for a 13 year old though:) not first car, I drove a corsa before this.. nothing impressive. ultimate car would be a vw t4... but I'm not sure if I'm allowed to say that in here? still love my skoda:)

thanks!! I see you are from Pontypool, I'm in Cwmbran :) yeah I'm not brave enough to start on a big piece so I'm seeing how it goes on the fuel cap cover first, my felicia is red so I'm planning on spraying the cover white and then drawing on it in black.

Er yeah, got my maths bit mixed up there, long day!

So you're gonna turn your Felicia into a Lambo with a sharpie marker - good luck!!!!! LOL.

Now where's me biro................................................................

Love that... must take a while to do though!

Mate of mine did a similar thing to the interior of his Mk2 Golf, I think the door cards were wrapped first then he went to work with the marker pen.

aww cool im up in griffithstown. you can practice on my engine cover if you like, its only small haha. i was going to spray mine yellow and get my sisters mate do do black sharpie but shes back to uni now. i think yellow backing with black detail will look good for my yellow car.
