I really enjoy riding with my brother and mates. Maybe I'm just lucky and we all have the same kinda style. Unless we're going somewhere some of us dont know (then we keep together and take it easy) then we all ride for ourselves, that said we dont seem to get too far away from each other anyway.

Just got back from another trip out with my mate and ex step dad (strange I know :D) Was a right laugh, nothing too mad or fast, just a nice enjoyable trip out. I had half the power of the other two but on A and B roads but it still hustles along well enough not to be left too far behind. I've been using the gopro on the side of my lid, I might try it on the top and see how it looks from there.

That's why I carry two phones on different networks.

One stays with the bike and one is my day to day phone. But double the chance of finding

a signal so that's handy.

But of course they are only useful if I am not Fubar'd (sorry) up myself. For me riding alone is part

of the appeal. No distractions, alone with my (few) thoughts and getting away from it all.

I had a close call with a dumbass pheasant a few rides back, I missed it by a hairs breadth.

I have find friends set up on my phone, my wife can check to see where I am and if I'm still riding/moving.

Gonna try and start socialising more on my bike.

There's a couple of lads (Ben90 and a couple of others over at BCF) who I'm hoping

to ride out with soon. We have some nice weather promised so maybe it will

be soon. Although rather reluctantly I have just started a job. My neighbour over the road

wants their bathroom doing and it's money for old rope so couldn't say no.

The commute is perfect and I don't even need to load my van up. I just carry my tools across

as I need them.

Yeah that's a good idea, I don't generally stop unless I need a wazz or a drink.

Is it an apple thing or an android thing?

How's this sunday? If you're about I'll message the other guy who posted in my thread, ws something, and see if he's about too. If you know of more then invite them as well!

Mine is on an Iphone, but I'm sure it'll be avaiable on all types.

I'll find out soon. The Logitech kit worked out at about £350-£400 a camera when it was available +£50 a year subscription (scary to think I've got 9 of them in use).

By way of experiment, I've ordered one of these http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/221520269677?ssPageName=STRK:MEWNX:IT&_trksid=p3984.m1497.l2649 for £38.50 delivered, which is supposedly 1080p. I'll be able to compare the two when it arrives. I suspect that there won't be that much in it to be honest, as the technology moves pretty quickly.

I'll report back!

And the answer is, pretty darned good, actually.

My one mistook though was thinking that it's wifi, when it's ethernet only.

Not got it all set up as yet, however here's a quick night vision shot of my lad in the living room

What a lovely tidy home Gyp.  I really like to see that.

In my work I get to see a lot of peoples homes and some of the

places I've worked aren't fit for animals never mind people.

You should see the rest of the house :-(

I see some right tips when I walk around the back to check out the tank and see through windows that there is crap everywhere

Its disgusting. The kind of people that dont use a bowl to feed the dogs or cats, they just throw the food on the floor

Is that camera on all the time? Cos when I was your lads age and

my parents went out.... Well lets say they would have been either shocked or

disgusted or most likely both at what I got up to on their sofa.

True story.

I'm feeling somewhat guilty that I've had a sheet of cardboard nailed to my bedroom ceiling for the last 9 months to cover up a hole.

When I say sheet of cardboard, it's actually the box that my yeti roof bars came in, so it's a Skoda sheet of cardboard :-)

Direct line have promised to sort last December's storm damage soon...

I was worried for a second there, until you pointed out that it wasn't random old cardboard, but the premium Skoda branded stuff! Leave it as is, to alter it now with mere plaster would lessen the structural integrity of the ceiling.

I have home insurance building and crap inside, it wasn't the cheapest and wasn't the most expensive but one that seemed a good middle ground for what they say they cover. Is this how long things typically take though :o

True story.

No, just temporary and already moved.

I just wanted to see how well it worked so found the easiest place where there was both mains and ethernet.

I was planning to put it in the garage with the bikes, but no ethernet :-(

You can get wireless ones cant ya?

I'm sure I can, but the one I've bought isn't :-(

Key thing is though that the video quality is better than the £300+ ones I've got at the moment

Including being spanked by a penguin whilst wearing a ball gag?

Phew, I thought it was just me

Nah mate that's not a penguin, it's a dominatrix smiley in a gimp mask :)

Phwoooar!

My R1150GSA SE. Been riding bikes since I was 21. Gave then up when my son was born but that lasted a couple of years, now he rides pillion with me most places (he's 10)

My wife passed her big bike licence earlier this year (I think she thought if you can't beat them join them....) and I bought her a Fazer 600 as her first big bike.

My daughter has discovered she can touch the pillion pegs this year so will probably start taking her on short runs next year. (She's 5).

I'm a member of UKGSER and don't mind riding by myself or with small groups. Can't be doing with big groups!

Tom

I need to meet/ride with some of you guys. Any of you around the Midlands?

I reckon we could get a little brisky bike meet at some point, plenty of us and I dont mind a ride for a hour or two to meet up!

Im in the midlands, and im up for this!

Topcot2006: how do you find the 1150gs then?

My dad had (amount loads of other bmw's) the 1150gs, then a 2004 1200gs, and now a 2012 GSA.

He reckons the 1150 was the most solid of the lot. The new ones obviously faster and what not, but reckons the 1150 is the best made of the bunch.

He'd have one tomorrow if he could still buy a brand new one.
