Looking good. B) I bet you can't wait for it to be finsihed so you can log all the sizes of the nuts and bolts used!! :D

1000th post, I was holding out for that John :D

Getting there Richard, patience is a virtue.

What will arrive first project Citigo-go or Yellow Peril

They need to be custom drive shafts aswell?

Theres only goint to be 50% of the citigo donar left at this rate well the skin in any case!

Most likely, not a lot of call for VAG sized rear shafts for a car the width of the Citigo apparently.

Heaven knows why. :)

Well the 13th July will be a year since I had the idea and started this thread Lee.

Would be nice not to run into year two. :D

Of course, you didn't help by bringing the Yellow Peril (Rapid) delivery forward three weeks last week!

The other Yellow Peril, or should that be giant Banana is going just fine.

It had an all round suspension change last week. :)

I know that the idea behind this amazing project is to stay looking as standard as possible but I can't help but feel that the subtle addition of an "N" and an "E" to the CITIGO badge on the rear would be good

Been a while since there's been updates but Richard is busy. I'm amazed he has time for everything. He's got so many vehicles he's probably got a TARDIS somewhere so he can be in two places at once

Perhaps a VRI badge similar to VRS, standing for "Very Ruddy Insane" ?

With the best will in the world, I am now in the hands of Jabbasport.

They are doing the work at a sensible rate, so when they have a Golf racer to sort it has to come first... and we are now back in the racing season.

Let's not forget they are running a business.

There is still a fair bit to do (5 weeks worth maybe?) so as much as I want it done badly it'll be done when it is... unfortunately bugging them is not going to be productive.

Things to do (mostly complete list)

Engine electrics and pairing up to dash unit.

Final engine build.

Finishing roll cage and mounting.

Fitting sequential box and shifter, when it comes back.

Finishing interior and mounting seats.

Brakes.

Wheels and tyres.

Exhaust.

Stripping, coating, sealing everything to make it look like new.

Updates will come as progress is made.

Hopefully it won't be too long! :)

Video, video, video I hope you've made a wee film from start to finito ?

Hi Richard, when I seen Citigo build: 4x4 and 450bhp on your signature I thought it was a p*ss take! Intrigued I clicked on it, but haven't had to time to read every post! All the best of luck with this and like everyone else I'm looking forward to seeing the finished project

  • 2 weeks later...

It's at Jabbasport, they are fiddling with the wiring.

Not much to write about. :)

You would be supprised, you can write loads... but your not doing it and a bet they dont share the detail as wireing is a Mare!!!

Nice to hear its moving along.
