CitiGo-Go, a Citigo with more Go.

Featured Replies

I'm looking at 16" rims.

Stock is 14 or 15 and the UP! and new Citigo Sport model have a 16" option.

I think for stealth 17 would be too big.

You can get some decent brake set ups under a 16" rim. Such as a 312mm kit with decent calipers, which should be fine if we can keep the weight under 1100kg. (even though the target was originally 1000 kg)

Tend to agree with you about 17s can also tend to make small cars look like they're on stilts.I guess the trick will be to choose a wheel that is strong enough to withstand repetitive high lateral forces and provide enough cooling, without looking too 'competition'

To be fair, the wheels you have fitted at the moment make the car look like it is just a well turned out standard citigo with an alloy wheel upgrade - stealth enough (imho) I think the use of banded steel style wheels would be at odds with the upmarket colour and then lead people to believe that the car has further mods under the skin?

I think I'd go for the painted 16"s

That would give a wheel trim colour finish to the wheels and provide the clearance for the increase in rotor/calliper sizes you're going to need.

Whatever you go for, it'll be a 'Surprising Skoda' for sure!

  • Yes.   One painted Citigo 4x4 shell and plans made for the next stage. Rebuild basics to allow for the loom to be made are being done over the next two weeks. Then a motorsport electrical speciali

Stick it on Steels.

That looks amazing! So much going on in a little space. Cannot wait to see this completed.

Saw the pics on Facebook just a few minutes ago. Looking good and hopefully no more delays from Pro-Alloy.

Hope you didnt have to remind them they had the car......

Not like that, no.

Sprint yellow powder coat?

what tyres are they? Everything is coming together now. Looking good.

Not quite sure James, the rims and tyres are just what Jabbasport had that would fit so they could finally free one of thier ramps up.

Still no final decision made on rims or tyres.

Have to say it does look mad with the front panels off.

With no disguise it sure looks like a beast!

Tyres look like the Federal 595's I am thinking of putting on the Golf, they get a decent review and are half the price of 888's, however this is not a tyre thread.

Car is looking great, everybody involved seems to have done a blinding job.

I seen this pic :D

The cooler is almost bigger than the car mate

Tehe now whos getting ocer excited :D

Id be bouncing off the walls at this point ;)

Going to go like sh1tigo

Keep the stealth look and go for steel wheels with wheel trims, could always band them if they are too narrow

Decent size cooler, The crash bar should protect the cooler at least :)

Definitely go 16's with the wheels.

I saw a Citigo Sport in my dealer with them and they look great.

Plus this car REALLY needs to make people go "******* HELL!"..............and 17's would give the game away too early. ;)

BTW, what is that mean machine behind Citigo? Looks rather yummy!

Nice. That is all.

wheres the other end of the cooler pipework???? lol

Believe it or not, the car isn't exactly finished yet. ;)

They just took a pic when they had chance!

Doh! :giggle:

BossFox, did they tell you pressure drop figures across your new FMIC?

Wow, just a simple question, wasn't expecting such a defensive "counterstrike".

Such data is literary "written on a box" - basic characteristic of the design. That coupled with cooling capacity and internal volume characterizes every single heat exchanger ever made :).

But hey, it's your project and I guess you answered my question.

Any plans for adiabatic water spray?
