CitiGo-Go, a Citigo with more Go.

Featured Replies

It's a shame about your Fabia being canned, I was looking forward to seeing it's progress. :( However this project looks just as good. B)

I was thinking of engines, and had a mad thought. How about a Bike engine? :wonder: You get a hell of a lot of power for 1 litre (or there abouts), plus a sequential gearbox, you of course have to add a reverse gear, but there are parts to do that.

There is a firm in Lincolnshire (Aldbrough, near Hull) that specialises in it. Zcars has put bike engines in old minis, Saxos, Fiat 500s even a Smart car. They normally go in the back, but I'm sure I've seen a mini with one in the front. I've even seen a mini with two bike engines in the back, other ones they have added a turbo and got silly amounts of power. :D

Here are some of their projects: http://www.zcars.org.uk/pe.php

If you can put a bike engine (R1 or Fireblade) or even a Honda VTEC in the front of small car such as an old mini, I wonder if one will fit in a Citygo?

Only just seen this thread, things never change!!! Love it haha!

Does the dealer know what you intend to do with the car?!

You do realise it will invalidate the Warranty :giggle:

Apparrently I'll be OK if the winscreen wipers stop working. Other than that...

And we can post on here without someone saying you cannot post on here you do not own a Citygo ( soft roader boys) Richard and a very few others have a sense of humour ( on there

If you mention hill descent control or anything like that -we'll have to get you banned :p

So will the Citi Go have hill descent control then?

I think it may be wise for it to have launch control -in order to stop it spinning out in a cloud of smoke

The TT the drive train is coming from probably has it......

Is there a 16" wheel option on the CitiGo? :giggle:

Is there a 16" wheel option on the CitiGo? :giggle:

I was actually thinking 16s would be perfect! :D;)

Big enough to cover the 312mm brakes from the TT and only one inch bigger than the wheels already on the car so not too daft...

Just out of interest how you thinking about fitting TT brakes? Changing hubs over with the rest of the driveline?

Hopefully.

What about the interior Boss?

Keeping standard for more stealth or some nice recaros in there to keep you from flying onto the back seats when you boot it!!

I am hoping to keep it looking as standard as possible, the goal is a blisteringly quick Q car.

I'm hoping changes will be limited to the area under the parcel shelf which is not visable and a little to the rear footwells, which won't be noticable.

Not saying I won't put one of my Carbon Fibre Tillett seats in for a track day though, otherwise I'll be flying all over the place. :)

But not needed for Santa Pod and the like.

Hopefully.

So going five stud then.

Oh, this is getting more interesting by the day.

As far as wheels go, 16's but as close to OE pattern as possible?

And I presume Q car is code for wolf in sheeps clothing?

Exactly CFB.

Try to keep it looking as normal as possible.

Q car is a high performance car that looks like a regular family run around, here: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Sleeper_%28car%29

omg only just seen this !!! richard you are mad but i love it ;-)

will be epic fun to drive and something no one else has done!!!

good luck with the build buddy enjoy

Richard you should approach a TV company and ask them to film it. If this was on TV I would watch it and it would make the perfect series. Sell the rights and that pays for the project, lol.

Cant wait to see how you solve all the issues on this project.

Saw this parked up at jabba today as well as the TT!

You are right Richard :-) progress in underway :-)
