Featured Replies

well ive gone out and done the dirty ... and orderd myself a VRS mark II

race blue with dark chrome wheels

bluetooth, MFSW, climate control, under seat storage, sunglass holder, mats , sat nav, parking sensors, arm rest

Is there anything else anyones gone for or anyone got any regrets over certain accsesories ?

I would get cruise control fitted too. Especially if you are thinking of getting an APR map at anytime as you can turn it off with the controls on the stalk

I know it's a simple thing, but easily forgotten. Make sure your car has a spare wheel. I have a feeling it comes as standard for the vRS, (option with non-vRS Fabias), but it's always good to check. Tyre goo doesn't fix all types of puncture, nor damaged wheels.

Spare wheel was standard on mine this time last year, although it is a 15" steel.

Cruise control makes the APR map stand out as you can quickly and easily go from totally stock to 95Ron map to 98 Ron map and even has a valet mode and immobiliser.

Also consider the Skoda Eibachs which although not a factory option (I think) can be fitted by the dealer prior to collection.

Wish I had cruise on mine due to top hinged accelerator but took a blue one that was already off the boat rather than wait 14-16 weeks for delivery. Wasn't worried as the skoda accessories brochure said I could have it retro fitted. However, I've been told by my supplying dealer that you can't do this on fabia's since April 2012. Does anyone know if this is true?

Also, the satnav is pretty sh1te. Doesn't zoom out far enough or have enough resolution for clarity. The roads don't need to be half an inch wide when zoomed in either. When a £150 TomTom is better you just know vw group are milking its customers. The rear parking sensors are displayed on the screen like my last BM so a bit of a bonus I wasn't expecting.

All in all, you get what you pay for I think. At least they're all reasonably priced.

Ps. Enjoy.
