My car predicted build date is wk15.......... Really!!!!

I ordered mine mid September- vRS hach Tdi, race blue, canton, cruse, black design and sun set tints. My dealer assures me that will change within the next month of so. We also purchased a Citigo sport and they apparently have a long wait. Gutted really but I'm sure it's worth the wait.

I ordered my Octavia 2.0 Tdi in early September and still have not received a construction date ... Hard to not know anything 

Ordered a vRS estate petrol on Sept 2. Current scheduled build week is week 6 2014.

That's 26 weeks from ordered to delivery.

I ordered mine on 30/08 and it's build date slipped again to Mid October, but have been told that's not confirmed 100% yet and may still change either forward or backwards, this has security implications for me as my car reg plate will be on retention for a while and I can't keep swapping number plates around & it's going to get awkward with parking permits as well.

See I don't get this. How come there is 3 days between our orders and mine is built 4 months after yours. Madness!

Ordered our vrs hatch 3 weeks ago, dealer said expect build date of mid november. However after last time, i told him i will be expecting a build date of mid feburary. It took 5 months last time so i dont expect it to be any quicker this time. I dont mind the wait though tbh, its only a car!!

I was at progress letchworth this evening ordering my partner a citigo and saw your motor on the ramps having its PDI.... Very nice!

Skoda told me the name of the vessel mine was on & I am sure they can tell you which port or arrival serves N.Ireland. I would have thought your dealer should know where it arrives.

SkodaUK, informed me this morning the mine has been unloaded from the ferry and loaded onto the transporter and is on it's way to the dealer, should arrive today or tomorrow subject to tachometer readings etc, they said the dealer should have as much info as they have, dealer was only be to tell me yesterday that vehicle was in the uk

Skoda UK gave me the details. The dealer has the same info but only after Skoda put it on the computer & that can be several hours later.

Skoda only can say it's being built this week

Why is there so much confusion about delivery? Surely a major car firm like Skoda know when they are beginning production!!

 

I have a hatch VRS on order but when I placed it, was told December or more likely Jan for delivery.  I am not reading anything that makes me think its going to be earlier (even though the dealer told me my car is showing to be build in week 38, still no chassis number or updated status) therefore it aint being built!!

 

Very frustrating but I think anyone who gets their hatch before Christmas is going to be the exception, not the rule (call me a pessimist or realistic!)

Sinima - May I ask which dealer, as mine is sat awaiting a transporter. Maybe we will share.

Someone will be lucky soon, sat behind a transporter on the M1 today with 2 white vRS estates on board just before Chesterfield going south..
