Had a call this afternoon from my dealer to say my car has been built and they were organising delivery. Said to expect it in about 3 weeks. :-)

Then as soon as I put the phone down it rang again, this time SUK, to tell me the car has been built and is at Emden awaiting the ferry

Because I complained when there were delays on the hatch (before changing my order to estate) and when I had to complain about not getting a PID unit for the wife's new Citigo 3 weeks after she picked it up. I just pointed out that I wasn't happy with the service considering we had just bought 3 Skoda's (us and my dad), spending about £44k on new Skoda's.

I too got a call from the dealer today, SUK must have a drive on.

 

My TSI VRS with nearly all the options, inc front assist and pano roof is provisional week 3

I too got a call from SUK not good news though, car ordered 16th July got a confirmed build date of 8th Feb now this as been superseded by No date can be given. (ACC is the problem) 

What extra's have you ordered Deano?

Crew protection, privacy glass, winter pack, standard cruise, black pack, anthracite wheels....So nothing really that has been mentioned as a problem, I would guess it is the standard lane assist that's the issue

Phoned SUK yesterday with regards to the progress of my order.

I placed my order on the 17th August and was given a delivery time around the end of November SUK told me that I will not recive the car until the end of January/Febuary 2014????

They informed me that there is a problem with the lights on this model, I have orded a VRS estate has anyone else having the same problem?

I've come to the conclusion from reading this thread that SUK has two medical complaints.

 

Backside & Elbow syndrome - It doesn't know one from the other.

 

Alien hand syndrome - basically the left hand doesn't know what the right one is doing. 

Like me 3weeks ago suk said car delayed ,dealer was to phone me but didn't no surprise so went in today

New salesman (last one left) or sacked ! said its at port awaiting ferry !!!!!!

Damn blast.. Mine has ACC and I am waiting to hear back from the dealer as to delivery. Was scheduled to get it end of Oct, then end of Nov.. Anyone know if I am in the right to cancel if it ends up being Feb and getting my deposit back? I need a car!

Yes you should be able to get money back if after 21 weeks but dealer should understand

after being told that my car would be delayed until February, the dealer offered cancellation right away. i did not have to ask him.

He was keen to keep the business and i have agreed to get back to him during the coming week.  Trouble is any other make

ordered now will probably be delivered around end January anyway.  The new Yeti is an option!

I've been told our car, ordered on 29th July, won't be built until sometime in Jan. It's an estate too.

I've been to my dealer today to add some more options, the dealer showed me his computer screen with the factory lead times and Octavia vRS hatch Tdi manual has a 10 week build time next to it and add 6 weeks if you wanted front assist.

My car orderd 21st September had a build week confirmed at week 15 but dealer also showed that has now been removed from the system..... Is that good or bad news.... Can't get any worse to be fair!!

I went in today to check that he had changed my seat trim to red,he said that he was unable to change it the other day,so he tried and succeeded today,but we notice that my build week 51date had now vanished,so it may have gone back to week 6,or lost in the ethyr of planet skoda,so you are not alone in this

I think orders just go into a hat and are picked out at random now!

When my parents picked up thier Elegance last week the branch manager picked them up from the station and he mentioned there were loads of problems with supply of parts to the factory at the moment and that if there was a stock issue on a part then they just stopped the line for that option for a month to allow the stock to rebuild. 

 

It sort of lines up with what we have seen over the few months there options have just disappeared for a while then to re-appear and builds put back months due to a single 'option'

My delivery date has just gone from week 3 2014 to Status: No Assignment of a Build Week on trackmyskoda. What the hell is going on? It's been week 46, then 43, then 48, then 03 2014 and now this. Not a happy chappy ????

Just spoke to Skoda uk.

Confirmed build week 43. To be fair it's been pretty constant apart from moving to wk47 at one point.

Got a trip down south planned on the 2nd week of November so hoping I can pickup then. Although I wouldn't mind if it was before then

You'd be surprised how often that's true. Although to be fair where I'm going near Birmingham you really do need a translator.
