So i used to think I had a pretty quick estate, it was nippy enough... it was quick off the line, handled like a dream, and was one good looker....

 

Then this appeared. Each night my Skoda VRS longs to morph into my dads RS6, maybe one day he will.....

Yeah... no offence to the vRS (especially as mine's on order), but that right there is a proper fast car.

What the Vauxhall Meriva? We all know you had been trying to get a sly picture of it.

I got invited by Audi to a showcase day to drive all their latest and greatest... First thing I went in was the RS6.

 

I nearly rear-ended the first car I overtook as I was up it's arse so fast I barely had time to pull out!

 

Insane machine, and inspires WAAAAY to much confidence.

I got a full hour in it (on my own), and as the showcase happened to be local to my house (many people had travelled 200 miles to it) I knew all the good roads and ignored the set 20 minute drive you were supposed to take (I got there early on purpose to get the extra time). As such on my return, I told them not to let anyone in it for more than 30 mins if they wanted it back in one piece at the end of the day!

 

Also took the R8 V10 Plus out, which is equally mad - but really doesn't feel that much quicker! Just a little more nimble in the corners (as you would expect).

 

At the moment the drive in 10 years time is either an R8 or a GTR (or equivalent respective latest), an RS6 as the family wagon, plus my track MR2 (that will have had the 220bhp engine transplant by then!).

 

Here's to dreaming!

That would make an excellent advert for specsavers..... someone thinks an Octavia VRS is better looking than a RS6, gets eyes tested, new glasses and ohhhh, right, maybe not.

Got a mac and im totally useless on it, not sure how to obscure the plate on iphoto! 

 

Its got a trackday coming up soon, so hopefully will have some good gopro footage of it then

Use the retouch tool. It's designed to take skin imperfections or specs of dust out, but run it over a numberplate and it's a very effective onscurer!
