1988 Vauxhall Cavalier 2.0GLi - my first car which I loved dearly and ran for 3 years. Sold it for £100!

1995 Vauxhall Omega 2.5V6 CD - couldn't resist the fantastic engine and the sheer space and ride comfort of the old barge. Loved driving it up and down the motorway. Fun on wet roundabouts too! Broken heater matrix saw it chopped in. Ran it for nearly 3 years.

2001 Ford Focus 1.8 Zetec - a brilliant little car. Handled so sweetly but was a little slow. Kept hold of it for 2.5 years.

2005 Vauxhall Vectra SRi 1.9 CDTi - a good car for covering miles (50mpg on a run) but a little dull to drive and began to run up big bills. Had it for 3 years.

2006 Mazda 6 2.0 TS2 - a fine looking car with a fantastic Bose stereo. Shame the engine was so peaky and lacking in torque. Kept it for just over a year. A fine handling motor.

2007 Octavia VRS - my current, and favourite, motor. I love everything about it (bar the stereo!) and can't see why I'd want to change it unless something even more fantastic comes out. Love the engine, love the interior, love the understated looks.

1984 "W" Datsun Violet Saloon (Silver with a fetching Black Vinyl Roof) (No problems except rust!)

1985 "A" Datsun Micra 1.0GL (Blue) (no Problems)

1987 "B" Datsun Micra 1.0GL (Green) (started using lots of Oil when mileage was about 60k)

1990 "E" Citroen BX 1400 E (Blue) - a big car for the money -but would only run on leaded fuel.

1992 "H" Citroen BX 1.9 Diesel - Hydraulic suspension started to stick!

1993 "L" Renault 19 1.4 Energy (Brakes pads didn't last long, starter motor used to stick!)- First New car

1995 "M" VW Passat 2.0 CL (most reliable car I've owned to date - 85K miles and no repairs )

1998 "W" VW Polo Saloon SDI (Blown head gasket on this one!)

2001 "51" SKODA Fabia Estate 1.9tdi Comfort (Front Anti rollbar bush broke) - Second New Car

2006 "56" Mini Cooper (A couple of "limp" modes - dealer fixed, the alternator pulley wheel broke.) Third New car

2010 "59" VW Passat 2.0 Highline - nice car and purchased as it was a bargain but slightly high mileage. No problems

2011 "61" Skoda Octavia Greenline II estate - so far so good! - Fourth New car

G reg Peugeot 205 GRD - Mum's car, it drove like a tank.

E reg Toyota Corolla - My gran's old car ran like a dream until the timing belt snapped utterly FUBARing the engine.

K reg Peugeot 205 GLD - Dad's then eventually my own. Did 177,500 miles before rusting to the point that there was nothing left to weld to.

W reg Skoda Fabia Hatch 1.4 8V Classic - The wife's car. Thirsty but reliable.

'02 reg Skoda Fabia Estate 1.9 TDi Comfort - Great car still going with 120k+ on the clock. Went like stink when bought at 60k. A little more sedate these days.

'56 reg Skoda Octavia Estate 2.0 TDi PD Elegance SE - Splashed out for this one. Love the leather steering wheel and the sports suspension. Disconnected the seat-belt warning via the wire under the driver's seat.

Since i've got my licence 2 months ago i have now just 1 car driven legally. But i drove cars without licence . I saw the lists above and mine is so poor...but never mind each of these cars i had were good for driving and easy to keep in driving condition. (also the list affect that i live in Macedonia and till 1991 there was no imported car from Europe (Asia and America are out of question)). U must laugh now they are all oldtimers now
