Citroen Xantia 1.9td, comfy, worthy, reliable but dull, dull, dull. Driven into.

Audi 80 2l 16v, fast but not as nice as the 8v, (no low down torque).

Another Mk2 golf GTD, loved dearly until driven into.

some of you have had some great cars! (some I've owned, and some I've wanted to) here's my list in order of ownership....

Vauxhall Chevette (Truely awful car)

Renault 18 GTS (I loved this car... university years..)

Fiat Uno Turbo (I had this chipped, 140bhp in a car that ways a few Kg! didn't handle though! taught me how to handle an unruley car this one! had it to 60 in 6 seconds though! see some others of you have had these..)

Izuzu Piazza Turbo (another truely awful car..)

Citroen BX 1.9 TRS (surprisingly good car, loved this one too!)

fiat Croma Turbo (good, but constantly fell apart..)

Saab 900 Turbo (damn cool car, broke the engine though when I messed with the wastegate!)

Lancia Thema Turbo (220bhp) (probably the most loved car I've ever had! same engine as the integrale that some have owned on here.. nearly cried when this one went!, still miss it..)

Citroen Saxo VTR (had two of these, ran one from new, to 150,000 miles and it never broke! amazing..)

Citroen C2 GT ( great car, but the gearbox died at 40,000 miles, so I gave up on Citroen...)

Skoda Fabia vRS (Great car, 13,000 miles so far since new, and no complaints. got to keep this for at least three years, when the warrenty runs out in two, I'm having it re-mapped, to give it a new lease of life !)

best of all?! : The Lancia Thema Turbo...

sharky.

1976 Vanden Plas Princess 1300 (not, not a rubbish 1500 or wedgie 2200, the upmarket model of the really-large-Mini Austin 1300, with leather seats, chrome lined walnut picnic tables, burr walnut dash and a twin-carb 1275cc A-series engine. Only did about 60 though)

1990 Metro CityX 1300 (14 years of automotive progress gave me a car with a 1275cc single-carb A-series, no wood, no leather and about 60 mph. 'nuff said. *shudder*)

1994 Peugeot 205 1.8 D (non-Turbo. Drove it from 100,000 to 140,000 miles, then gave it away after it let me down one weekend. Was always a bit funny after that rear-end shunt too...)

2001 Octavia TDi 110 Elegance. Now that's a proper car ;)

Was anyone else's first car 5 years older than they were?

I have a tendancy to break cars, and as a consequence have had far too many to list or indeed remember.

My first car was a mini clubman 1100 in orange

In order after that I have owned and sold as scrap....

Fiesta 950:thumbup:

Toyota Camry:thumbdwn:

Cavalier 1.8 CDi:thumbup:

Other Vauxhalls

Land Rover 88inch:thumbup:

Fiat 126's:thumbup: :D

Fiat 127's:thumbup:

A crazy shagged old transit powered by a TVR 4.2 V8   :D:thumbup: :P

Various Citroen Bx's, favourite being a late model 16Valve. A very very good car in handling, stopping and going. Had reliability issues.  :thumbdwn:

A couple of knackered old volvo's that I managed to finish off.

A new Citroen Xsara Coupe that Citroen had more than I did.

Ford Granada 2.9 v6 24valve, hate fords with a passion, BUT......

An Allard super tuned Pug 306 Hdi Estate - suprised an awful lot of folks, i can tell you

Latest is the Fabia which after a few mods and tweaks, is probably one of the most entertaining cars I have driven, let alone owned.

I have missed alot of junk off my list due to a fading memory, but have had experience of Lancia Thema's  , and Alfa V6's:thumbup: and quite a few other cars that you guys have had. It's funny how many cars alot of people have had, with massive variations, but we have all ended up with a Skoda.

Just goes to show what a broad appeal they have.

Good thread.
